Introduction
The Forget-me-not Electronic Calendar supports the user in
remembering what day it is. The display shows the day of the week and
date.
The addition of a personal picture makes the calendar a nice piece of
home decoration, which catches the eye in a natural way.
Without any confusing buttons, the Forget-me-not Electronic Calendar is
connected to the power outlet with the provided AC adaptor. In the event
of a power cut the display text disappears, but it works normally when
the power returns.
Note! The Forget-me-not Electronic Calendar requires manual settings of
summer and winter time. It comes set for winter time.
Getting started
1. Determine how the Forget-me-not Electronic Calendar should be
introduced. Some people prefer not to use “assistive devices”. It may
then work better to introduce it as a “gift”.
2. Determine whether a personal picture is to be used, and, in that case,
which picture. How to change pictures is described in the section
Changing the picture.
3. Determine where to place the Forget-me-not Calendar in the home. It
should be in a place where it will be readily noticeable, for example,
by the telephone or on the kitchen countertop. Make sure there is no
reflections from lighting or window light on the display.
4. Connect the Forget-me-not Calendar by connecting the provided AC
adaptor into a power outlet.
5. After a few seconds, day of the week and date will appear on the
display. Check that the time is right, see the section Set the day of the
week, date and time.
6. The display is only lit when the power is on. If the calendar is out of
power for an extended period (about 1 year), the battery must be
replaced, see the section Changing the battery.
Note! Only the provided AC adaptor must be used for the calendar.
Contact your provider if you need a new one.

Set the day of the week, date and time
1. Press the two buttons at the back simultaneously. The display now
shows day of the week, date, year and time.
2. A dash “flashes” under the first letter of the day of the week. Press the
button to the left (seen from the front) and hold it until the correct day of
the week is displayed.
3. Press the button to the right (seen from the front) to set the date. The
dash will now flash under the date. Press the button to the left (seen
from the front) and hold it until the display shows the correct date.
4. Continue in the same way to set month, year and time.
5. When the setting procedure is completed, the day of the week and date
are displayed.
Note! The calendar exits the setting mode if the delay is too long
between the steps above. If this happens, restart from step 1.
6
Battery backup
When the calendar is connected to the power supply, the correct day of
the week and date are displayed.
When the calendar is not connected to the power supply, the date setting
is saved by a backup battery. This means that the correct day of the
week and date will be displayed again when the calendar is reconnected
to the power supply.
The battery is not in use while the calendar is connected to the power
supply. If the calendar is not connected, the backup battery will last
about 1 year.
Changing the battery
If the calendar does not show the correct day of the week or date, the
battery probably needs to be replaced. However, the time settings can
also be wrong, check this first, see Set the day of the week, date and
time.
To change batteries:
1. Disconnect the power supply.
2. Grip the back cover and slide it to the side.
3. Remove the silver coloured frame (attached with double-sided
tape) around the display unit and remove the electronics unit.
4. Change the battery (CR 2032) in the battery holder on the back of
the electronics unit.
5. Replace the electronics; make sure to put it the right way round.
6. Attach the silver coloured frame.
7. Slide the back cover into the stand.
8. Connect the power supply to the calendar.
Contact your supplier if you want help with replacing the battery.

Changing the picture
1. Grip the back cover and slide it to the side.
2. Loosen the picture (it is attached with a piece of tape).
3. Change to a picture of your choice.
4. Slide the back cover into the stand.
In future, the picture can be changed by holding the silver coloured
frame, and at the same time gripping the picture at the notch on the
back.
Maintenance/cleaning
Clean the display with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner. Do not use
strong solvents for cleaning. The product should not be submerged in
water.
Other maintenance consists only of replacing the battery when
necessary.
Environment
The packaging is recyclable and should be disposed of with the paper
and cardboard waste. The battery should be disposed of at a centre for
the recycling of batteries.
When the product or battery is to be disposed of, it is to be treated as
electronic waste or returned to your supplier.
