S4 PVEO Function Block
Overview
This function block controls the output of a Sauer-Danfoss PVEO Series 4 Electrical
Actuator.
The PVEO Actuator provides on/off control of Sauer-Danfoss PVG 32, PVG 100, and
PVG 120 valves.
See About Function Block Connections on page 6 for more about this function block’s
connections and signals.

Function Block Inputs
Input Type Range Description
Enable BOOL —— Enables and disables Output A and Output B.
T = Enables Output A and Output B.
F = Disables Output A and Output B.
Fdbk A —— Input for the Status bus that reports the status of the output that is used by the function block’s Output A.
Each output has a Status bus (available through the Input bus) that reports on its status.
Fdbk B —— Input for the Status bus that reports on the status of the output that is used by the function block’s Output_B.
Each output has a Status bus (available through the Input bus) that reports on its status.
Input A BOOL Controls Output A.
T = Turn on Output A.
F = Turn off Output A.
Input B BOOL Controls Output B.
T = Turn on Output B.
F = Turn off Output B.

Output Type Range Description
Fault U16 —— Reports function block faults.
This output uses the standard bitwise scheme described in the Basic Function Blocks Library User’s Manual.
Output A —— —— Controls the flow of hydraulic pressure to work port A on the PVEO Actuator.
T = Flow from the pressure inlet to work port A.
F = No flow from the pressure inlet to work port A.
Output B —— —— Controls the flow of hydraulic pressure to work port B on the PVEO Actuator.
T = Flow from the pressure inlet to work port B.
F = No flow from the pressure inlet to work port B.

Fault Logic
The following table shows how:
The Fault output indicates fault conditions.
Fault conditions set both Output A and Output B to F.
Fault Logic
Condition Fault Output A Output B
Block is OK. 0x0000 T or F. T or F.
Output A or Output B is short circuited. 0x8008 F. F.
Both Input A and Input B are T. 0x8010 F. F.
Once a fault condition clears, both Input A and Input B must first return to F before
Output A and Output B return to normal T/F operation.

How to Configure a MFOut
You must configure a MFOut to accept the signals from the function block’s Output A or
