Note the location of plugs and
hoses.
Remove all low pressure hoses.
Remove high pressure hoses and
remaining port plugs.

1) Remove the LP hose using
17 mm and 14 mm wrenches
2) Remove the mouthpiece

3) Remove the locking ring, Washer, Cover and Diaphragm

4) Using a 17mm wrench loosen the
Locking Nut
5) Remove the Locking Nut, Spacing
Collar and “O” ring

6) Remove the entire Lever arm/
Poppet assembly by first pressing
the lever arm down and pushing
the assembly out through the
Adjustment side.

Take note of the opening on the assembly in relation to the lever arm

8) Remove the end cap from the adjustment knob with a small screwdriver
9) Using a Phillips head screwdriver remove the locking screw

10) Using a 16 mm and 17mm
set of wrenches loosen the Adjustment
Housing.
11) Remove the Deflector

12) Remove the balance chamber
Adjuster using 7mm socket or nut
driver
Note: it is not necessary to use the
Ratchet
Balance chamber

13) Remove the “O” ring from
The deflector
14) Remove the “O” rings from the
Adjustment housing

15) Remove the Poppet
Assembly, Spring and
Balance chamber
16) Remove the lever arm

17) Insert a 5mmm wrench and
Unscrew the valve seat inside the
Poppet chamber
18) After loosening the valve seat
It will be necessary to push the seat
Out with the tip of a pencil

19) Remove “O” ring
20)Remove Exhaust Tee
By gently pulling
21) Inspect Exhaust valve

Warning!!! Only original Dive Rite parts are to be used
All parts that are removed from the
serviced regulator and replaced by those
in the parts kits are to be returned to Dive
Rite.
Remaining parts should be cleaned in a
solution compatible with Nitrox use.
All points of lubrication should use a
Nitrox compatible lubricant.
This completes disassembly of the hurricane second stage

1) Begin by installing exhaust valve
