vieil appareil.

Disposal of old electrical appliances
The European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical
appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal
waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to
optimise the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and
reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of
your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance it must be
separately collected.
Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for
information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance.

1 / INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
This grill absorbs 2,500 watts at its maximum position. So before plugging
in, make sure that your electrical wiring system is at least fitted with a 16-
amp fuse. The grill must be compulsorily connected to an earth.
, The plug must be accessible after installation.
If the supply lead is damaged, it must be replaced by an equivalent
lead (H07RNF 3x1,5mm²) available from the after-sales
department.
Grill cooking naturally entails the release of smoke. Sometimes, when
cooking too fatty meat, small flames similar to those of a barbecue will
splutter. This factor will have to be taken into account when choosing the
place where your grill is to be fitted.

7. on/off indicator light
The fitted top is fixed into the work surface. When the grill is placed in
position in your work surface, you can fill the protective bowl with volcanic
rocks leaving the element raised. The rock layer must be carefully formed,
so that the rocks are evenly distributed and do not project beyond the top
of the protective bowl.
16
Lower the element.
Next, set the grill on the unit.
Your appliance is ready to operate.
This appliance complies with the EN 60335-2-6 standard with regard to the
heating of cabinets.
Prior to any use, preheat for 5 to 10 minutes so as to bring the volcanic
rock to the required temperature. The rock then behaves like hot ashes : it
stores heat and burns excess greases. In that way, the grill ensures that
food is cooked naturally. It is therefore a very healthy way of cooking.

4 / SOME HINTS
As the heating setting of the grill are highly flexible, culinary imagination
knows no bounds:
classic grilled meats or poultry
beef, pork, lamb, turkey, fish and scampi kebabs
fresh salmon slices, trout, sole
tomato halves, mushrooms, slices of onion.
caramelized pineapple slices, fruit kebab
It is necessary to slightly grease fish you wish to grill with oil or melted
butter. This will avoid fish sticking to the grill.
You can also toast bread and make toasted cheese and ham sandwiches.

5 / MAINTENANCE
Prior to any maintenance, disconnect the appliance and let it cool.
Part maintenance can be quickly carried out:
The grill: you can clean it easily when it is still warm. Clean as with the
rest of your dishes: a little detergent is enough.
The heating element: shall be cleaned with a damp cloth.
The protective bowl: can be treated with a detergent like any dishes.
The fitted top needs to be cleaned using a cleaning product intended for
stainless steel. It will therfore keep its beautiful, shiny appearance.
Volcanic rock does not deteriorate. Dispose of accumulated grease at
regular intervals by placing the lava stones in a bright fire (hearth) or in a
pyrolysis oven. Should the rock be excessively saturated, refills are
available.
