4. Locate a suitable grounding point near
the connector such as the vehicle's
frame or cross member. (Do not drill
into vehicle floor or bed.) Clean dirt and
rustproofing from area. Drill a 3/32" hole
and secure
white wire using eyelet and
screw provided.
CAUTION
Verify what is behind any surface prior
to drilling to avoid damage to the vehicle
and/or personal injury. Do not drill into
any exposed surfaces.
5. Mount the T-Connector black box using
double-sided tape provided. Secure the
remainder of the T-Connector harness
with the cable ties provided, to prevent
damage or rattling and being careful to
avoid any areas that would pinch, cut
or melt the wire.
WARNING
All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer
once installed.
WARNING
Overloading circuit can cause fires.
DO NOT exceed lower of towing
manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (5 amps)

Philips Head Screwdriver, Drill (3/32" Drill Bit)
1. Underneath the vehicle, on the
passenger’s side, between the bumper
and rear tire, locate the vehicle Tow-Plug
harness

. It will have a connection
point matching the T-Connector harness.
Remove protective cap, being careful not
to break the locking tabs. All connector
surfaces should be clean and free of dirt.
2. Insert the T-Connector harness into
the vehicle’s Tow-Plug harness and lock
into place. Be careful not to damage the
locking tabs and be sure that connectors
are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
3. Route the T-Connector harness rearward
to the back of the fascia of the bumper.

WARNING
Route the wire being careful to avoid
any hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel
tank or any other points that may
pinch or break the wire.

1. Por debajo del vehículo, en el costado
del pasajero, entre el parachoques y
la llanta trasera, localice el arnés del
remolque-conector

. Tendrá un punto
de conexión que corresponde con el
arnés del conector en T. Retire la tapa
protectora, con cuidado de no romper
las lengüetas de bloqueo. Todas las
superficies del conector deben estar
limpias y libres de suciedad.
2. Inserte el arnés del conector en T en
el arnés del conector de remolque del
vehículo y bloquéelo en su lugar. Tenga
cuidado de no dañar las pestañas de blo-
queo y cerciórese de que los conectores
estén completamente insertados con las
pestañas de bloqueo en su lugar.
3. Dirija el arnés del conector en T en rever-

ADVERTENCIA

4. Encuentre un punto de conexión a tierra

del área. Perfore un orificio de 3/32" y
asegúrelo con un cable
blanco usando
el ojete y tornillo que se incluyen.
ATENCIÓN
Revise qué hay detrás de cualquier
superficie antes de perforar para evitar
daños al vehículo y/o lesiones personales.
No perfore ninguna superficie expuesta.
5. Instale la caja negra del conector en
T usando la cinta adhesiva por ambos
lados que se suministra. Asegure el
resto del arnés del conector en T con
los amarres del cable que se suminis-
tran, para evitar daños y con cuidado
de evitar cualquier área que podrían
pellizcar, cortar o derretir el cable.
ADVERTENCIA
Se deben completar todas las
conexiones para que el conector en
T funcione correctamente. Ensaye y
verifique la instalación con una luz de
prueba o remolque una vez se instale.

de verrouillage. Toutes les surfaces de
contact des connecteurs doivent être
propres et dépourvues de saleté.
2. Brancher le faisceau du connecteur en
T sur le faisceau de la fiche de remorque
et verrouiller en place. Veiller à ne pas
briser les pattes de verrouillage et
s'assurer que les connecteurs sont
complètement rentrés, avec les pattes
de verrouillage en place.
3. Faire passer le faisceau du connecteur
en T à l’arrière du plastique souple de
carénage du pare-chocs. Faire passer
le faisceau du connecteur en T le long
de l’intérieur du pare-chocs vers le
centre du véhicule

AVERTISSEMENT
Prendre soin d’éviter les tuyaux chauds,
les écrans thermiques, le réservoir de
carburant ou tout autre endroit susceptible
de coincer ou endommager les fils.
4.
Repérer un point de mise à la masse
adéquat à proximité du connecteur, comme
le châssis ou un autre élément structural
du véhicule. (Ne pas percer le plancher ou
la plateforme du véhicule.) Nettoyer la sur-
face pour y enlever toute trace de saleté
ou de traitement antirouille. Percer un trou
de 3/32 po et fixer le fil
blanc à l’aide de
l’œillet et de la vis fournis.
ATTENTION
Avant de percer, vérifier ce qui se
trouve sous la surface pour prévenir
tout dommage au véhicule ou toute
lésion corporelle. Ne pas percer de
surfaces exposées.
