Thermostat
(Replaces Whirlpool 279769 & Gem ET184)
WARNING
Disconnect all electrical power before servicing appliance.
Both thermostats must be replaced together.
Make the following checks when replacing the thermostat kit.
1. Damaged elements: Inspect and take continuity check
across terminals.
2. Check for plugged lint screen.
3. Block vent: Flapper on vent may not open up to allow
heat escape.
4. Bad blower wheel.
5. Check ground to coil.
