3-in-1: Convert from mulching to bagging to side-discharge:

Unpack the mower

• Cutallfourcornersoftheboxfromtoptobottom.

• Removeallpackingmaterialsfromthemower.

•Locateandidentifytheitemsincludedwiththemower.

Raise the handle assembly

• Loosen,butdonotremove,theknobs(A,Figure1)

 onbothsidesoftheupperhandle.

• Unfoldtheupperhandlesothatitisalignedwiththe

 lowerhandle,andtightentheupperknobs.

• Removethehandleknobs,washersandcarriagebolts

 fromthelowerhandle(B).

• Raisethelowerhandle,aligningitwithoneofthe 

 threesetsofholesinthehandlebracket.(Mostusers

 willpreferthemiddleposition).Replacethehardware, 

 tighteningsecurely.

Set Up the starter rope handle

• Squeezethebladecontrol(A,Figure2)againstthe

 handle(B).

• Pullthestarterropehandle(C)outoftheengineto

 theropeguide(D).Hookthestarterropeintothe 

 ropeguide(itmightbeatightfit).

Add oil and fuel

• Movethemoweroutsidetoaflat,levelsurface.

• Removetheoilfillcap(A,Figure3).Addtheentirecontentsofthe

 suppliedoilcontainertotheengine.Replacetheoilfillcap.

 IMPORTANT Mower is shipped without oil in engine.

Failure to add oil before starting engine will result in

engine damage.

• Removethefuelfillcap(B).Followingthethree-stepinstructionson 

 theFreshStart

card,snapthefuelpreservercartridgeintothebottom

 ofthefuelfillcap.

• Addclean,fresh,UNLEADEDfuelwithaminimumof87octane, 

 leavingoneinchofspacefromthetopofthetankforfuelexpansion. 

 NOTE:Fuelblendscontainingmorethan10%ethanolarenot 

 recommended.



 IMPORTANT Fuel tank holds less than 1/2 gallon.

IMPORTANT DO NOT mix oil with fuel.

IMPORTANT DO NOT use E85 fuel.

• Replacethefuelfillcap,andwipeupanyspills.

Final preparation

• Movethecuttingheightadjustlevers(A,Figure4)tothedesired

 cuttingheight.

• Setthemowertomulch,bag,ordischarge.(See3-in-1instructions 

 below.)

odorless, colorless, poison gas. Breathing carbon

monoxide can cause nausea, fainting, or death.

Operate this product ONLY outdoors.

Keep exhaust gas from entering a confined area through

windows, doors, ventilation intakes or other openings.

DO NOT operate this product inside any building or

enclosure, even if windows and doors are open.

DANGER

Fuel stabilizer is a hazardous chemical.

IF SWALLOWED, call a physician immediately.

Fuel stabilizer contains:

2,6-di-tert-butylphenol (128-39-2) and

aliphatic petroleum distillate (64742-47-8).

• Releasethereardoor(itwillrestontop

 ofthegrassbag).

3 To convert to side discharge:

• Makesurethemulchingplugisinstalled 

 intherearofthemower,andthegrass 

 bagisremoved.

• Liftthemulchingcover,andinstall 

 thesidedischargedeflectorontothe 

 mowerdeck(Figure9).

• Makesurethedecktabsstickupthrough

 thelockingslots(Figure10).

• Releasethemulchingcover(itwillrest 

 ontopofthedischargedeflector).

Instalación de la manilla del motor

de arranque

• Aprieteelcontroldelacuchilla(A,Figura2)contrael

manilla(B).

• Tiredelamanilladelmotordearranque(C)haciafuera

delmotorhastalaguíaparalacuerda(D).Enganchela

cuerdadelmotordearranqueenlaguíaparalacuerda

(debequedartensa).

Añada aceite y combustible

• Desplaceelcortacéspedhastaunasuperficielisaynivelada.

• Quitelatapadeldepósitodelaceite(A,Figura3).Añadaalmotortodoel

contenidodelrecipientedeaceitesuministrado.Vuelvaaponerlatapadel

depósitodelaceite.

 IMPORTANTE El cortacésped se envía sin aceite en el motor. Si no añade

aceite antes de arrancar el motor, el motor resultará dañado.

• Quitelatapadeldepósitodecombustible(B).Siguiendolasinstruccionesde

trespasosdelatarjetaFreshStart®,encajeelcartuchodemantenimientodel

combustibleenlaparteinferiordelatapadeldepósitodecombustible.

• Añadacombustiblelimpio,enbuenestadoySINPLOMOconunmínimode

87octanos,dejando2,5cm(unapulgada)deespacioenlapartealtadel

depósitoparalaexpansióndelcombustible.NOTA:Noserecomiendausar

mezclasdecombustiblequecontenganmásdeun10%deetanol.

 IMPORTANTE El depósito de combustible tiene una capacidad de menos

de 1,9 litros (medio galón).

IMPORTANTE NO mezcle aceite con combustible.

IMPORTANTE NO use combustible E85.

• Vuelvaacolocarlatapadeldepósitodecombustibleylimpiecualquiermancha.

Preparación final

• Muevalapalancadeajustedelaalturadecorte(A,Figura4)hastala

alturadecortedeseada.

• Fijeelcortacéspedparatriturar,aspirarodescargar.(Consultelas

instrucciones3en1acontinuación.)

ADVERTENCIA
