INSTALLING COLUMN/SPLIT LEVEL OVENS
Recommendations
Installation must be carried out by a qualified
Technician.
After removing the oven from its packaging,
place it on the polysterene foam base to protect
it from damage.
Check that the appliance has not been damaged
in transit and that the oven door closes properly.
If there are any problems, contact your
retailer or call your nearest After Sales
Service.
Do not attempt to lift the oven by the door
handle. Lift at the sides, holding it by the specific
openings for transport.
When installing the oven it is advisable to wear
protective gloves.
Important:
Disconnect the oven from the mains
throughout any installation or maintenance
operations.
Preparing the unit
Column oven
Kitchen units adjacent to the oven must be heat
resistant (80 °C min.).
Cut the kitchen unit to fit before installing the
oven.
Carefully remove any woodchips or sawdust as
they could prevent the electrical components
from working properly.
Oven dimensions and kitchen unit dimensions
are shown in the figures 1-2-3.
To allow for proper ventilation, there must be a
ventilation opening at the rear of the unit (as per
the dimensions in the figures).
For undercounter models, a minimum gap of 5
mm is required between the upper edge of the
oven and the lower edge of the worktop (Fig. 6).
For the correct operation of the appliance this
space must never be closed.
While installing the oven, make sure not to damage
adjacent furniture.
Make sure that the oven is secured to the wall
with the specific brackets (G) (Fig. 7).
Electrical connection (Fig. 8)
Installation of the appliance and electrical
connection must be carried out by a qualified
electrician, in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions and local regulations.
The installer is responsible for the correct
electrical connection and for the observance of
safety regulations.
Identify phase and neutral wires using a
voltmeter.
Incorrect electrical connections can damage the
oven and be dangerous.
The oven power cable must be long enough to
connect the appliance built-in to the kitchen units
to the electricity supply.
To fulfill the appropriate safety regulations, an all-
pole disconnect switch with a minimum contact
gap of 3 mm must be used for the installation.
When connecting with a mains plug this is not
necessary, if the plug can be accessed by the user.
Regulations require that the oven is
earthed.
Do not use multiple plug adapters or extension
cords.
After the oven has been installed, the electrical
components must be inaccessible.
Connecting the oven to the power
supply
Make sure that the voltage stated on the
appliance rating plate is the same as the voltage in
your home.
The rating plate is on the front edge of the oven
(visible when the door is open).
Securing the oven
Place the oven in the unit/column cavity, lifting it
at the sides and making sure that the supply cable
is not trapped.
Align the oven centrally in the oven housing unit/
column before securing it with the screws and
spacers as shown (Fig. 9).
Secure the oven to the unit with the screws and
spacers as shown (Fig. 9).
