Choose the Site
Take some time to determine the best location for your
Bubbler. A level 5’ x 5’ area is required. Try to avoid
areas with trees and shrubs that may drop debris into
your water feature or where roots may make digging
more difficult.
Dig the Hole
Place the rigid pond liner upside down in the center of the
area you’ve chosen for your water feature. Use the shovel
to trace the 2’ x 2’ outline into the dirt. Remove the pond
liner and dig down until the pond liner can be set in the
hole and the top edge is flush with the ground,
approximately 11”. Use a level to make sure liner is even
across the top. Set the rigid pond liner in the hole.
Set the Components
Pl
ace the concrete block in the pond liner basin with the flat side up.
Remove the pumps from their boxes and attach the clear plastic hoses provided
to the pumps. Place the pumps near one another in a corner of the basin, and
run the plastic hoses and route under the concrete block, and up through the
center openings. Set the water grate on top of the basin with the access hole
oriented over the pumps. Run the plastic hoses through the holes in the grate.
Lay the screen over the grate, and using scissors, cut holes for the hoses once
in position.
Place Bubblers and Stone
Route the clear hoses through the bottom of the bubblers until they are visible at
the top of the stone. Place bubblers on the water grate directly on top of the
concrete block. Fill the reservoir with water. Plug in the pumps and test
the water flow. You can control the water pressure by adjusting the dial
on the back of the pumps, or by simply pushing the hose lower into the
bubbler core. Once you have set your desired water flow, cover the
grate with the cobbles. Dress the outside edge with the flagstone.
Add Your Personal Touch!
Be
creative with your new water feature! Add plants, groundcover, a
garden bench or statue to customize this beautiful addition to your yard.
