suppliedbythemeterandismountedinthefloor

orwrapped/gluedtothewaterpipe.Onlyafew

humiditydropswillmaketheF-NVPalarm.

regulationvalvesincoolingceilingsifcondense

arisesontubesorvalve.

thesensorishigherthanthelevelsetonthe

F-NVP(whichhappenswhenthereishumidity

onthesensor)thebuilt-inrelay(F-NVP-15)is

activatedandredLEDindicatesalarm.Also,if

thesensorcircuitisshort-circuitedorbroken

therelaygoesinalarmposition.

Furthermore,F-NVPissuppliedwithaLEDfor

operation,whichwilllightgreen,ifthesupply

voltageisconnected.

TheF-NVP-16hasthesamefunction,but

whentherelaygoesinalarmpositionabuilt-in

acousticalarmisactivated.

Thesensorconsistsofacottontapewhichis

deliveredbythemeterandwithtwointerwoven

wires.Thetwointerwovenwiresisconnectedin

theendbyaresistance.

Thesensorisconnectedtothealarmunit

F-NVPandincaseofhumidityonthesensor,

theconductivityisincreased(smallerresistance)

andaccordingtoadjustmentofsensitivitythe

built-inrelayisenergised(atthesametimethe

F-NVP-16givesanacousticalarm).

Thesensorwillgivealarmincaseofhumidity/

waterleakandshouldthereforenotbemounted

inadampposition,forinstanceconcretefloor/

wall,asafalsesignalmaythenarise.Incase

oflong-termhumidityinfluencethesensorwill

corrode,asgalvaniccorrosionwillarise.

Thesensorshouldbeplacedinsuchawaythat

itcanbechanged.Thesensortapemustnotbe

earthed.

GluetypeF-NVPFLisaporousglueandcan

bepenetratedbywater.Approx.0.3litresis

requiredfor25msensortape.

TheunitsensorF-NVPF-16isformounting

directontopipe,forinstancetosecureagainst

condensing.TheF-NVPF-16hasabuilt-in680

kΩresistanceandcanbeconnectedtothe

F-NVPvia2terminals.

IMPORTANT:ThesensortapeforF-NVPFand

F-NVPF-16sensorsmustnotbefitteddirectly

toelectricallyconductivesurfacesasthismay

causemalfunction.Ifthesensoristobeused

tomonitoranelectricallyconductivesurface,

non-conductiveinsulationmustbeestablished

betweenthesensortapeandtheelectrically

conductivesurface.
