The Android Advantage

Micromax A106 comes wit h Kit Kat 4.4.2 that is capabl e of performing

various funct ions just l ike your personal computer and can be

personalized according t o your own needs. For exampl e, you can add and

remove applications or upgrade existing applications to improve the

functions. At the Android market, an ever growing range of applications,

games, movies, and books are avail able for you to download.

Understand Your Phone

SI M Ca r d Insertion

Yo ur A106 is a dual SIM phone with one normal SIM card slot and another

micro SIM slot. Inser t t he SIM car d(s) in the SIM slot(s) correct ly.

To inser t t he SIM card:

Memory Card Insertion

Bef or e using t he device f or t he fir st t ime, you must charge the battery. You

can charge the device wit h a travel adapter or connecting the device to a

PC w i t h a USB c ab l e .

Home Screen

Yo u can personal ize your home screen with shortcuts, widgets, wallpapers

and ot her items. Swipe l eft or right on the home scr een to view t he next

extended home screen. Your A106 has five home screens including one

center home screen and four extended home screens.

In the bottom pane, there will be five l auncher icons for you to open

different sections in the phone. Except the appl ication launcher in the

middle of the pane, you can rearrange and manage the other four icons.

Tap and hol d t o sel ect a l auncher icon and t hen you can r earr ange,

change, or remove t hem wit h ease.

Appl icat ion l auncher or Appl icat ion m enu is avail abl e r ight in t he middl e of

the home screen bottom pane.

Tap to view all inbuilt and installed applications and widgets. In the

appl icat ion menu, t ap and hol d any appl ication/ widget to take it t o t he

home screen; release the hol d to place at any desired location on the

home screen.

Widget s all ow pl acing application shortcuts on your home screen. You can

place analog clock, your recent call l ogs, and other such sections of your

phone on the home page and access them directly! View all available

widgets by tapping the Widget tab in the Application menu screen or just

swipe through the menu icons t o t he widget s screen.

Notifications

Notification icons inform you of new messages and events as and when it

appears in t he device.

When you receive a not ificat ion, it s icon appears in the status bar, along

with a brief summary. You may clear each notification separately by

swiping it tow ards left or right.
