Remote Functions
1. Power: Press to turn the TV ON or OFF.
2. Input: Press to change input source. Use
Arrow/Enter buttons to select and conrm.
3. Number Keypad: Directly enter channel
numbers.

Connecting Cable/TV Antenna
Connect the cable/antenna wire (not included) to the TV Antenna input on the television.
Connecting Devices to Your TV
Antenna/Cable Mode
Before the TV can begin memorizing available
channels, you must specify the type of signal
source that is connected to the TV: antenna
(ATV) or cable (DTV).
1. Press the Input button and select TV.
2. Press Menu on the remote and use the
Arrow/Enter buttons to select Channel.
3. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select
Antenna Mode.
4. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select
Antenna or Cable, depending on the type
of input you have connected to your TV.
Auto Search TV Channels
1. Press Menu on the remote and use the
Arrow/Enter buttons to select Channel.
2. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select
Auto Search. When the window appears,
select "Start" to begin automatically
scanning through available channels (ATV/

You can customize channels, set up favorites,
or block channels from this menu. Use the
multi-colored buttons on the remote as
indicated in the menu.
ATV/DTV Channel Manual Search
1. Press Menu on the remote and use the
Arrow/Enter buttons to select Channel.
2. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select
ATV or DTV Search. When the window
appears, use the Number Pad to enter the
digital channel number, then press Enter
to select it.

Connecting HDMI
HDMI offers superior sound and picture quality when compared to other AV connection types, and
is the easiest way to connect your media devices to the television.
Use HDMI 1 with Audio Return Channel (ARC) to connect to a compatible audio receiver with a
standard HDMI cable (no stereo or optical audio cables will be needed). Note: ARC may not support
surround sound (5.1) or other audio with more than two channels (2.0). If there is no sound, open the
Sound options from the Settings Menu, and turn on the HDMI ARC function.
Requires a device that supports HDMI and a HDMI cable (not included).
1. Connect the external device’s HDMI output to an HDMI input (1, 2, or 3) on the television.
2. Press the Input button and select the connected HDMI input. Image and sound from the
HDMI input will be played through the television.

Requires component video (green/blue/red) and RCA stereo (red/white) cables (included).
1. Connect the audio output on your media device to the corresponding color coded audio
input on the television with stereo RCA cables.
2. Connect the video output on your media device to the corresponding color coded video
inputs on the television with a Component Video cable.
3. Press the Input button and select the connected input YPbPr.

Requires composite video (yellow) and RCA stereo (red/white) cables (included).
1. Connect the video output on your media device to the corresponding color coded video inputs
on the television with a Composite Video cable.
2. Connect the audio output on your media device to the corresponding color coded audio input
on the television with stereo RCA cables.
3. Press the Input button and select the connected input AV.

Connecting Optical Audio Output to an External Audio Receiver
Requires a Digital Optical Audio Cable (not included) and an audio receiver with a Digital Optical
Input.
1. Connect the Digital Optical Audio Cable from the Optical Output on the television to the
Optical Input on the audio receiver.
2. Set the audio receiver to accept the Optical Input source from the television.
Please Note:
Home theater audio systems may label the Digital Optical Audio source
differently, such as “PCM”, or “Digital Audio Input”. Please consult your
system’s user manual in order to select the correct input source.
If there is no sound, open the Sound options from the Settings Menu, and set
the Digital Audio Output (DAP) to PCM.

Connecting 3.5mm Stereo Audio Output
Requires a 3.5mm to RCA stereo audio cable (included).
1. Connect a 3.5mm to RCA audio cable to the Audio Output on the television and a RCA
audio input to an external stereo system.
REMINDER:
The 3.5mm Audio Output sends a xed audio volume level to any connected audio device.
To adjust the volume you must change it from the connected device.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME OF THE TV WILL HAVE NO EFFECT.

Connecting a USB Drive
Supports MP3 and JPEG les.
1. Load a USB thumb drive into a USB Port on the television.
2. Press the Input button and select Media.
3. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select and play content from the connected USB drive.

Connecting to a Wireless Network
1. Press Setup on the remote to access the Setup Menu.
2. Press Menu, then use the Arrow buttons to select Option > Network Conguration > Wi-Fi.
3. From the Wi-Fi Menu, select Scan Network to search for Wi-Fi networks within range.
4. Select the network you wish to use from the list. Use the Arrow buttons to input the Password,
then select Connect. When the conguration is complete, the TV is connected to the internet.
Connecting to a Wired Network
Requires an Ethernet cable (not included).
1. Connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet Input on the television and a network router or
other wired network access point.
2. Press Menu, then use the Arrow buttons to select Option > Network Conguration > LAN.
3. Be sure the Connection Type is set to DCHP, then select Connect. Note: DCHP is an
automatic network conguration setting that should work with most home networks.
4. When the conguration is complete, the TV is connected to the internet.

Internet Apps
Using the Pre-Loaded Apps
The TV is pre-loaded with Netix, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Pandora, VUDU, Accuweather, and
Screencast.
1. Press the Home button to access the app menu, or press one of the app buttons on the
remote to open that app.
2. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select and play content from the app.
3. Press the Exit button to close the app and return to standard TV functions.
Screencast
Use the Screencast app to connect and display media from an Android smartphone or tablet.
Note: Apple devices not supported at this time.
1. Press the Home button to access the app menu, then select Screencast.
2. On your Android device, drag down from the top of the screen, open the Settings Menu and
select Connected Devices.
3. Choose Wireless Display.
4. From the Wireless Display menu, select Screencast and press Connect. When successfully
connected, the image from your Android device will be seen on the television screen.
5. Use the Android device to select and play media.

Clock & Time Settings
Press the Menu button and select Time to adjust the following settings.
ON/OFF Time
The TV can be set to turn on or off according to a weekly schedule. The TV must be in Standby
Mode for this feature to work.
1. Select Off Time to enter the menu and set the day and time options.
2. Select On Time to enter the menu and set the day and time options.
Sleep Timer
The TV can be set to turn on or off according to a weekly schedule. The TV must be in Standby
Mode for this feature to work. Note: The sleep timer will be cancelled if the TV is turned off or if a
power outage occurs.
1. Press the Menu button and select Time.
2. Select the Sleep Timer menu option, then use the Arrow/Enter buttons to set the timer (Off,
10, 20, 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, or 240 minutes).
3. When there is 60 seconds left on the timer, a reminder will be displayed on the screen. Press
any button to cancel the timer when it sounds.
Auto Sleep
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to set the TV to power off if no input signal is detected. The TV
will power off after 10 minutes of a "no signal" state.
Auto Sync
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select Manual or Auto Mode to set the time.
Clock
1. If Auto Sync is ON, the clock will be set automatically. If Auto Sync is OFF, use the Arrow/
Enter buttons to set the time manually.
Time Zone
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to manually adjust the time zone.

Option Settings
Press the Menu button and select Option to adjust the following settings.
OSD Language
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select OSD Language to adjust the On Screen Display
language.
OSD Time
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to set the amount of time the On Screen Display is shown.
Closed Caption
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to adjust Closed Caption settings.
Reset
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select Reset and restore the TV to factory default settings.
2. Press the Enter button to conrm.
3. Select Yes to conrm again. The TV will turn off and restore all factory default settings.
Network Conguration
See the "Network Settings" section for more information.
Software Update
Software updates should be downloaded to a USB drive and inserted into a USB port on the TV.
Perform the following steps to then update the TV software:
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select Software Update, then press the Enter button to
conrm.
2. Select Yes to conrm again, the TV will update by USB. Please wait while the update
is performed and do not turn off the power while the update is in progress. The TV will
automatically restart when the update is complete.
Internet Update Check
You can also update the television via the internet. Select this menu option to perform a search for
the latest software version. If a newer version is found, the television will be updated automatically.

Display the software version, TV information, and LAN MAC address.

Lock Settings
The Lock feature automatically locks out programming that is deemed inappropriate for children.
The user must rst enter a password before any lock settings can be set up or changed. When
entering the Lock menu, you will be prompted for the password, enter the default password "1980"
to proceed.
Lock System
Turns the Lock feature ON or OFF.
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select ON or OFF.
Set Password
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to select Set Password, then enter your new 4-digit password
in the submenu. You will be prompted to enter the new password again to conrm. Be sure
your new password is memorized or otherwise recorded.
2. When the TV is locked, press any button, then use the Arrow buttons to display the password
window to input the password and unlock the TV.
USA TV, MPAA, Canada, etc
1. Use the Arrow/Enter buttons to make a selection and turn the ratings ON or OFF.
