Object: Exchange NGXJ-121 (NGP-101) decoder card
1. Prepare the software for the card removal
Open the BMS client and look for the NGP001 containing the decoder card you want to replace.
Open up the tree view and delete the contained device by right clicking it and selecting delete.
Confirm the deletion and right click, reload the device list.

2. Remove the NGXJ-121 (NGP-101) decoder card from the controller
Open the housing of the controller.
Open the top cover and to provide access to the cards.
Locate the NGXJ-121 (NGP-101) in the NGP-controller.
Remove the securing screw at the front of the board.
Look carefully on the PCIe slot. Some models might have a hook on the PCIe slot.
If so, open the hook.
Remove the NGXJ-121 (NGP-101) from the main board.
Disconnect the power cable from the NGXJ-121 (NGP-101)
3. Insert an new NGXJ-121 (NGP-101) decoder card into the controller
Use a grounded workplace. Unpack the new NGXJ-121 (NGP-101).
Connect the power cable with the new NGXJ-121 (NGP-101),
Use the slot from which you removed the old NGXJ-121 (NGP-101)-decoder card. Otherwise
you might loose functionality or performance.
Before you insert the NGXJ-121 (NGP-101) decoder-card.
a. Some controller models might have an ISA retainer that keeps the card in place.
If so, mind to fit the card into this retainer.
b. Some models might have a hook on the PCIe slot. If there is a hook on the PCIe slot, take
care that it is open be-fore you insert the card.
Close the hook after you inserted the card into the slot.
Secure the card with the screw you removed before.
Take care that the cabling does not block a cooling fan from spinning.
Close the controller housing

4. Configure the new decoder board for operation
Directly connect your laptop to the card and surf to its default IP address (192.168.0.2/16)
Check the general settings page
Check if the card is running the last firmware and if not upgrade to the version last released.
After the upgrade is done confirm that this firmware is the active one.
Configure this cards IP address in the network settings as the previous was configured.
o NOTE: check configuration of second gateway
Connect the card back into the network as the old one was connected.

5. Rediscover the new card in the client
Open up the BMS client again and go to the device overview.
Press the run detection button on top of the list
The card is available in the list but not contained in the correct NGP001 yet.
Reload the device list to have the NGP101 contained again in the correct NGP001 unit.
