other reproductive harm.
Defective components must always be replaced with original
replacement parts. Only using original replacement parts
helps ensure that they meet the safety requirements.
Ensure that no moisture or liquids penetrate the device.
Do not place any objects on the scale when it is not in use.
Protect the scale from any impact, moisture, dust, chemicals,
major fluctuations in temperature, and heat sources that are
too close to the appliance (ovens, heaters).
Do not use any force on the device or press down on it with
sharp objects.
Do not subject the appliance to high temperatures or strong
electromagnetic fields (e.g. mobile telephones).
Repair of the appliance during the warranty period may only
be carried out by a service provider authorized by the man-

Prior to first use
Before using the appliance for the first time, please ensure that
the appliance and the attachments are in good working
order,
all packaging materials have been removed.
Clean all of the attachments as described under “Cleaning

The scale can either display weight in g (grams) or oz (ounc-
es) and lb (pounds). To switch between units of weight, tap the
unit button.
Set up
Place the scale on a level and stable surface. A stable surface
is crucial for correct measurement, as the weight sensors are
installed in the 4 silicone feet .
This appliance is equipped with non-slip silicone feet . Since furniture
surfaces are made of a wide variety of materials and are treated with many
different care products, it cannot be completely ruled out that some of these
materials contain components that could corrode and soften the silicone
feet . If necessary, place a non-slip pad under the silicone feet of the
appliance.

1) Push the on/off button to turn on the scale. The startup dis-
play appears briefly, then “ 0.00 oz” is shown automatically.
Overloading or incorrectly loading the appliance may cause irreparable
damage to the appliance.
Never place more than 11lb (5 kg) on the scale . If in doubt, weigh
heavy products with a scale designed for higher weights first.
Do not place any objects or food on the display or the buttons.
2) If you want weigh a product without using a container, place it
directly on the scale . The weight is displayed.
If you want to weigh a product in a container, place the empty
container on the scale and push the tare button. The dis-
play shows “ 0.00 oz”. Add the product to the container.
The weight of the product is shown.
Tare function

sequentially, you can zero the scale before adding each addition-
al ingredient.
If you want to zero the scale after your first measurement in
order to weigh your next ingredient, push the tare button.
The display returns to “0.00 oz” and the number will flash
a few times. Before adding the next ingredient, wait for the
number to stop flashing.
Showing nutritional values and energy values
1) Place the product on the scale .
2) Look for the code of the food to be weighed in the list of foods
at the end of these instructions.
3) Enter the 3-digit code using the number field , e.g. 024. The
display will then show the following nutritional values and
energy values for the measured amount below the weight.
US-EN11
SNWD 1000 A2
Kcal: Kilocalories
Kj: Kilojoules
Fat: Fat
Carb: Carbohydrates
Prot: Protein
Chol: Cholesterol
BE: Bread units
The code is displayed at the bottom right.
Due to natural fluctuations in energy and nutritional values, the
specifications provided here are only guideline values.
If you have accidentally entered the wrong code, simply enter
the code again.
Turning the scale off
To turn the scale off, press the on/off button. The scale turns off
automatically after being idle for approx. 3 minutes.
Storing measurements
You can store all the values displayed for a food item. The scale
automatically adds the values of each stored measurement. For
example, you can store all the foods you have eaten in one day
and access this data at the end of the day. The stored values are
saved, even if you turn off the scale or replace the batteries.
You have taken a measurement and entered the code.
1) Push the M+ button to store the measured weight as well as
the nutritional and energy values. “M” and the operation num-
ber (e.g. 01) flash on the display for approx. 10 seconds
following the Σ sigma symbol.
You can only store measurements for which you have entered a
code.
If you have entered the wrong code by accident, you can only
change the code by re-entering it before saving. You will not be
able to change it later.
12US-EN SNWD 1000 A2
2) Proceed in the same way to store additional food items.
The operation number is increased by one each time a new
measurement is stored. The most recent operation number is
displayed.
The memory can store up to 99 measurements. After this number
has been reached, no additional measurements can be stored, and
“M99” flashes on the display . To be able to store further measure-
ments, delete the saved data by pressing and holding the
MC button until M99 is no longer displayed.
Please keep in mind that all previously saved measurements will be
deleted if you press the MC button.
If the total number of stored nutritional or energy values exceeds
the maximum, the display will show “E- - - -”. After ending the
storage function, “M” will flash along with the most recent operation
number, indicating that no further measurements can be stored.
The following maximum values apply:
Kilocalories 99999 Kcal
Fat 352.73 oz (9999.9 g)
Carbohydrates 352.73 oz (9999.9 g)
