Cap.
Always depress hand grip steam trigger until all pressure/ steam has been vented
from boiler.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT add cleaning solutions, scented perfumes, oils or any other che-
micals to the water used in this appliance. Use tap water or distilled/puried water if
the tap water in your area is very hard.
IMPORTANT:
Always insure that the unit is “UNPLUGGED” from the wall receptacle prior to initial
lling or re-lling the water tank. Failure to follow these steps will cause the water tank
to overll.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
- Place Water Filling Funnel in tank and add 1,2 Lt of water. Do not overll. Replace
Safety/Filler Cap by turning clockwise. Time for heating up with cold water may vary
from 2 to 6 minutes based on the quantity of water in the tank.
- Plug the unit into a standard 240volt (3-prong) grounded socket. The power light
will illuminate
- Let steam reach the best temperature and pressure.
- Connect desired attachments onto the Flexible Steam Hose.
- Upon initial use, some water will come out from the nozzle of the attachment. This is
unheated water in the hose and is normal.
IMPORTANT: When the SC 60 has run out of water, steam output will cease.
CAUTION: Before relling let the boiler cool down. When relling the machine while
it is still hot, the rst drops of water might bubble up. Use caution when opening the
Safety/Filler Cap as cap may become hot during use and escaping steam can cause
scalding.

the exible steam hose. To attach the extension tubes one
onto the other or onto the hand grip, press the security but-

INSTRUCTION FOR USE
USING THE FLOOR BRUSH WITH THE CLOTH
- Use a cotton cloth on the brush to catch dirt and protect delicate surfaces. It can
also be used on vertical washable surfaces following the same procedure as for the
oor
IMPORTANT: Please note that bristles may break through thin towels. If you don’t have
thick enough towels, please use 2 towels.
- Put the cotton cloth (recommended dimensions 45x12 cm) under the brush and put
its edges under the clamps.
CAUTION: the cloth may heat up. Let it cool down before removing it.
ACCESSORIES
WINDOW CLEANER: This attachment is very useful for cleaning windows
and glass surfaces. Connect the window cleaner to the steam gun.
Apply steam abundantly, rub with the soft spongy edge then remove
excess water and dirt with the glass wiping edge (squeegee). Wipe the
squeegee with a cloth after every stroke.
CAUTION: When cleaning windows, always avoid any sudden changes in temperature
to prevent glass breaking or cracking. Do not use on thin panes of glass or glass with
a thin wire mesh embedded in the glass.
DETAIL NOZZLE: This attachment is very useful for cleaning surfaces that
are difcult to reach. It is ideal for door and window tracks, shower door
tracks, wall grout in showers etc. The detail nozzle will t directly onto
the steam gun or it may be used with extension tubes.
DETAIL NYLON BRUSH: This brush is best used for cleaning grout found
in-between tiles or for any other surface that requires a bristle to do
light scrubbing. Push the detail brush onto the end of the detail nozzle.
PALETTE KNIFE: This attachement is best for removing small amounts of
wallpaper and for removing anything that can be scraped from a at
surface e.g. grease deposits in an oven. It is also useful when defrosting
freezers by scrapping away softened ice.
To use: Push the palette knife onto the end of the detail nozzle.
CARPET SLIDER: This attachment clips over the face of the oor brush
preventing the bristles from interacting with the carpet. To use: Clip the
carpet slider onto the oor brush, then attach the oor brush to the
extension tubes. When refreshing carpet or rugs you should vacuum
througly before steaming and then again after steaming to remove
the dirt that is loosened by the steam.
Note: Steam will only refresh carpets / rugs and to kill dust mites.
Steam will not shampoo carpets / rugs.
DETAIL BRASS BRUSH: This brush is best used for cleaning grease on oven
racks or grills and inside the enamel interior of ovens. To increase the
surface area of the brass brush, attach a small stainless steel scourer on
the brass brush to assist with removing baked on grease. Push the brass
brush onto the end of the detail nozzle.

1. Hook the top front of the caddy over the two hooks on the reverse of the ap-
pliance and push the bottom part of the caddy under the body of the cleaner so
that the holes in the xing lugs match the holes for the plastic screws.
2. Fit the two plastic headed screws provided through the xing lugs into the two
screw holes turning clockwise until hand tight.
TOOL CADDY
FITTING THE TOOL CADDY
12 3
PLEASE NOTE The tool caddy must be tted to the Monster SC45
before the wall storage rack can be used.
IMPORTANT SAFETY MESSAGE When storing your Monster SC45
on the wall rack, ensure that any tools and accessories
in the tool caddy are not in a dangerous position.
In particular the extension tubes could be a hazard if the rack is
situated at eye level.
FITTING THE WALL STORAGE RACK
1. Select your site for the wall rack. Check that there is room for the steam cleaner
in the position you choose and that it will not obstruct doorways or access to other
items stored near by. The cleaner drops down on to the rack so you will need to t
the wall rack with at least 6.5 cm clearance above it. Be certain that the surface
you are xing to is sound and capable of bearing the weight .
2. Hold the wall rack in the correct position (ensuring that it is level – we recom-
mend you to use a level), and using the rack as a template mark the screw hole
positions with a pencil.
3. Use the correct xing for the surface you are tting to the wall rack. A wide range
of xings is available from your local hardware store, to ensure the surface can
support the weight.
4. Screw the wall rack in place using round head or at head screws of the correct
size for the xing method you are using.

SMALL BRUSH: When the cotton cloth is used with the small brush, smooth
surfaces can be cleaned such as kitchen cupboards and counter tops,
range hoods and fridge areas. If the soft nylon bristles are used, shower
tiles and screens can be cleaned using the bristles to scrub hard soap
deposits. To use: make contact with the surface being cleaned allowing
the heat from the steam to soften and lift the dirt.
Wipe the dirt and excess moisture from the surface with a cleaning cloth.
Tip: a microbre cloth is best for wiping away soap deposits from shower areas and
for high gloss areas.
