Welcome to the NIXXO pager world!
This uniquely designed numeric pager, PLATINUM will bring you convenience and
pleasure in your communication world. This user’s manual will guide you from basic
operations to user optional features.

1. Initial Set Up
Power ON
T
o turn the power on, press Function Key for 2
seconds.
Power OFF
To turn the power off, press Function key twice.
“Tone Off?” will be displayed.
Press Read Key to scan through the menu until
you reach “Power Off?” Press Function Key to
turn off.
Note) The pager will still display the date and
time, but the keys do not work at all. And the
pager will not receive pages.
If you wish to turn the pager on, press and
hold the Function key for 2 seconds.

Registering Date And Time

ress Function Key. The back light comes on.
Then press Function Key again. “Tone Off?” will
be displayed.
Press Read Key to scan to “Set Time”.
Press Function Key to select menu.
Then first digit will blink.

ress Read Key to select data.

ress Function Key to enter selected data.
Repeat above steps to set all fields.

2. Basic Operation
Changing Alert Mode
From sound to vibration, press Function Key.
The back light comes on. Then press Function
Key again. “Tone Off?” is displayed.
Press Function Key to confirm. The pager will
beep to confirm change.
From vibration to sound, repeat the procedure above. Look for the speaker symbol
to appear.
Reading Message
When a message is received, the pager alerts the
user via sound alert for 15 sec or vibration for
6sec. and “Page” is displayed. Press Read Key to
read the message.
If the pager has 16 Messages, “Page Full” is
displayed.
If the pager has no message, “No page” is
displayed.

In case the pager has over 16 messages, it erases the oldest one to make room for
the newest one.
To read a message in memory, do the following;
Press Read Key. This displays when the 1st
message was received.
is the sequence of the message in memory.
(the last alphabet) means message address.
Press Read Key again to read your message.
The most recent page is displayed first.
If the message continues to next page, the icon
is displayed.
Press the Ready Key again to read the continued
message.

Erasing a Message
If you want to erase the message you are reading,
press Function Key. Back light comes on. Then
press Function Key again.
Pager will ask you to confirm.
Press Function Key to confirm. If not, press Read
Key to cancel.

Press Function Key. The back light comes on.
Then press Function Key again. “Tone Off?” is
displayed.
Press Read Key to scan through the following
menu. Press Function Key to select the menu
you wish to use.

Press Function Key. The back light comes on.
Then press the Function Key again and hold
for 2 seconds. “Tone Off?” is displayed first
then the display changes to “Erase All”, which
is the first option in menu B.
Then press the Read Key to scan menu B. Press Function Key to select the menu.

Set Time...Described in Initial Set-up, page 12.

Set Alarm...The procedure is similar to setting Date & Time.
c. Set Melody
Go to menu A and find “Melody Set” mode.
Press Function Key to enter “Melody Set”.
To choose a melody(No. 1~4) or a tone (No.
5), press Read Key. Then press Function Key
to Confirm.

Power Off...Described in Initial Set-up, page 10.

Erase All
Press Function Key on “Erase All”. It erases
all stored messages.
b. Set Message Lock Function
You can protect received messages from being erased with this function.
NOTE :
Read all stored messages before you enter this mode.
This procedure will erase all stored messages.

Please read the message first. Then press
Function Key. The back light comes on. Press
Function Key again.
“Erase?” is displayed.
Press Read Key.
“Lock?” is displayed. Press Function Key to
confirm. You can see icon when you
read the locked mesage.
Press Read Key to “Set Lock Fcn”
Press Function Key on “Set Lock Fcn”.
Press the Read Key to turn the message lock
On or Off. Press the Function Key to confirm.
If you want to use the function, set “Lock Fcn
On” first.
Then, if you want to protect a received message from being erased, do the
following;

If you want to unlock the locked message,
read the message first. Then press Function
Key.
“Unlock” is displayed. Press Function
Key again to confirm.
c. Set Unread Tone Function
If you do not read a received message, the pager alerts you by a beep tone.
To setup “Unread Fcn” On/Off, press
Function Key on “Unread Fcn”. Select
On/Off using Read Key, then press Function
Key to confirm.

1. Low Battery Indication
When the battery is low, “Low Battery” is displayed
and the pager will beep.
2. Replacing the Battery
NIXXO PLATINUM is designed to use a single AAA alkaline battery.
To replace the battery, do the following;
Slide locking switch to the unlock position. Slide the battery cover off the pager.
Remove the old battery and insert a new AAA Battery in the direction shown
on the battery compartment.

d. Set Auto Timer
If you set Auto timer On, the pager power is off from 1:00 A.M to 5:00 A.M.
Press Function Key on “Set Auto”.
“Auto On/Off” is blinking. Select On/Off
using Read Key, then press Function Key
to confirm.

3. Battery Back Up
NIXXO PLATINUM has battery back up function. note)To protect all the memory
when you replace the battery, please change old battery to new one quickly. And
please avoid too much key operation during replacing battery.
