PROCEDURE:

1. Rinseandfillsampletube(#9198)to10mLmarkwithwatertobetested.

2. Add5dropsR‐0001,5dropsR‐0002andQUICKLYswirltomix.IMMEDIATELY

add0.5mLR‐0867andQUICKLYswirltomix.Poursampleintothe

chlorine/brominecelltomarkandmatchcolorIMMEDIATELY.Savetheextra

samplewaterleftintube.Recordaspartspermillion(ppm)free

chlorine(FC).IMMEDIATELYpourbackintosampletubeandadd5drops

R‐0003.Swirltomix.Pourthissampleintothechlorine/brominecell

tomarkandmatchcolor.Again,therewillbeadditionalsamplewaterleft

intubewhichcannowbediscarded.Recordaspartspermillion(ppm)

totalchlorine(TC).

3. SubtractFCfromTC.Recordaspartspermillion(ppm)combinedchlorine.

Formula:TC‐FC=CC.
