Mounting instructions
1.
Lay the snowmobile on its side for better access to
the shock absorber, spread out suitable material on
floor to protect the finish on the hood and belly
pan.
2.
Release the tension on the limiter straps (i.e. the
belt limiting front suspension travel upon rebound).
3.
Remove upper and lower shock absorber bolt.
Remove the stock shock absorber.
4.
Mount the Öhlins-shock absorber with the body
upwards and the gas valve pointing forwards.
Mount the shock absorber bolts.
5.
Check the clearance between the reservoir and the
bolt holding the idler wheel. If necessary cut the
part of the bolt that protrude behind the nut.
6.
To achive the best performance from the shock
absorber and the best balance. Tension the limiter
straps so the distance between front swingarm and
a point on the slides, front of the rubberstop, will
be 170mm.
7.
Make sure that all bolts are tightened.
8.
Lägg snöskotern på sidan, för att lättare komma åt
stötdämparen. Lägg något lämpligt material på
golvet för att skydda lackeringen.
9.
Släpp på balata remmens spänning.
10.
Demontera stötdämparskruvarna och demontera
original stötdämparen.
11.
Montera Öhlins stötdämparen med kolvstången
uppåt och behållaren nedåt åt vänster. (se skiss på
baksidan) Montera stötdämparskruvarna.
12.
Kontrollera frigång mellan behållaren och skruven
som håller stödhjulet. Kapa eventuellt den del av
skruven som sticker ut bakom muttern.
13.
Spänn balata remmen tills avståndet mellan
svingen och skenan, precis framför stoppgummit,
(se skiss på baksidan) blir 170 mm. Det underlättar
att spänna ballataremmen om någon sitter på
snöskotern.
14.
Se till att samtliga skruvar är åtdragna.
