Your new Öhlins suspension features a hose con-
nected reservoir. The suspension has the follow-
ing adjusters:
Compression damping:
Adjustments are made with the knob on the hose
connected reservoir.
Rebound damping adjustments:
Adjuster is at the bottom of the strut: Use a 3 mm
allen key.
Spring preload:
Adjustments are made with adjustment rings on
the strut casing. Use the c-spanners
When delivered the Öhlins suspension is dialled
to recommended settings for the specific brand
and make of the vehicle.
NOTE!
If you have turned the adjuster without counting the
number of clicks you must go back to the recommended
settings. Close the adjuster and count the clicks when
turning it counter-clockwise.

1702/2702
In order to mount the front McPherson
struts on the car, you need the mounting
plate for the top mount from a Supercup
or a GT2 car. If you use the GT2 plate, you
will have to use the supplied spacers
(5522-01) for the mounting screws, see
figure 4, page 3. The camber adjustment
range with the GT2 plate will be smaller,
but you still have the option of changing
the camber with the camber bushings on
the upright bracket.
1703/2703
On this kit the strut is equipped with a
standard Porsche rubber top mount.

Notes
NOTE!
The hose must have a certain slack, to enable
lateral movement of the upper part of the strut,
without the hose being stretched.
CAUTION!
The hose clamps must be tightened with a torque
of maximum 3 Nm.
NOTE!
Make sure that all bolts are tightened to the
correct torque according to your car´s workshop
manual and that nothing fouls the McPherson
strut when the suspension moves through its
travel, or the steering is turned to full lock in either
direction.
