1.1. Power Supply

Make sure the main voltage is compatible with the appliance’s.

If this is not the case, please consult the Customer Support

Service.

1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables

Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance.

Also, keep the cord away from warm surfaces.

Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.

Take it to the Customer Support Service for replacement.

1.3. Humidity and Water

Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the

appliance to become wet under any circumstances as this

may be dangerous. To avoid fire hazard or electric shock do

not expose your appliance to humidity or water. Furthermore,

do not place your appliance under water (e.g. for cleaning).

1.4. Cleaning

Before cleaning, be sure to switch o the appliance and

remove the plug from the main power supply. Always allow

the unit to cool down before cleaning.

To clean the exterior of the product, use a dry soft cloth only.

WARNING

• Always ensure the voltage to be used corresponds to the

voltage stated on the unit.

• Always switch the appliance o before putting it down,

even if it is only for a moment.

• Do not unplug by pulling on the cord. Always grasp the

plug and unplug it from the outlet.

• Do not use the dryer near gas or other inflammable

materials (such as benzene, paint thinner, sprays, etc.)

• As the hairdryer handle incorporates electrical components,

the hairdryer must be fixed so that the handle, when fully

extended, is out of reach of a person using the bath or

shower.

• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after

use since the proximity of water presents a hazard, even

when the hairdryer is switched o.

• As an additional safety measure, we recommend the

installation of a residual current device in the electrical

circuit supplying the bathroom, operating at no more than

30 mA. Ask your installer for advice.

• Do not use the hairdryer with wet hands or in the bath or

shower. Do not use this hairdryer near water contained in

baths, basins or other vessels. Do not leave or store the

dryer near a tub, sink or other place where it will be exposed

to water and other liquids or high humidity.

• Do not clean with abrasive or corrosive products.

• The hairdryer is equipped with a heat-sensitive safety

device. In the event of overheating (for example, if the

rear grill is blocked), the hairdryer will stop automatically.

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down for a few minutes.

Before switching the appliance on again, check the grills to

make sure they are not blocked by flu, hair, etc.

2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

2.1. Product Description

• Do not direct the airflow towards the eyes or other sensitive

areas.

• Close supervision is necessary when the hairdryer is used

by or near children and disabled persons.

• If the cord is damaged, discontinue the use of the hairdryer

immediately and return the unit to your nearest authorised

BECKEN service dealer for replacement.

• Please clean the hair on the inlet grille to keep your

hairdryer working properly.

WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs,

showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

2.2. Using the Product

Before use

This hairdryer can be operated directly from an AC220-

240V~50Hz power source. It has a new turbo function, so

you can dry your wet hair quickly. Use the soft function to

dry short hair or for styling. To prevent overdrying while

styling your hair, the unique healthy setting reduces the

heat output to 57 ºC.

The ionizer inside releases negatively charged ions that

surround your hair. Negative ions reduce static electricity

build-up and help keep your hair in good condition, making it

shiny, smooth and frizz-free.

The handle of this hairdryer can be folded for storage.

How to use

1. Make sure the power switch is in the 0 position. Plug the

unit in and turn on the power switch.

2. Drying your hair after washing: Set the power switch to “2”

without attaching the nozzle, if you want to use cool air,

please press the cool switch or set the power switch to “1”. If

you want to use warm air, please set the power switch to “3”.

3. Hair setting: Set the power switch to “1” and attach the

nozzle. If you want to use cool air, please press the cool

switch or set the heat switch to “2”. If you want to use warm

air, please set the heat switch to “3”.

4. Turn the power switch to 0 and unplug the unit.

2.3. Maintenance

Cleaning

1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning it.

2. Remove the air inlet grille from the appliance. Clean the air

inlet grille, nozzle and bicyclic hot and cold nozzle with a

moist cloth or by rinsing them under the tap.

3. After drying, connect the air inlet grille.

1.1. Alimentación

Compruebe que la tensión de la red eléctrica es compatible

con la indicada en el aparato. En caso de que no sea

compatible, consulte al Servicio de Atención al Cliente.

1.2. Cable de alimentación y otros cables

No enrolle el cable de alimentación ni tire de él para

desenchufar el aparato. Asimismo, manténgalo alejado de

superficies calientes.

Nunca utilice este aparato si el cable o el enchufe están

dañados.

En su lugar, llévelo a un Servicio de Atención al Cliente para

que proceda a su sustitución.

1.3. Humedad y agua

No utilice el aparato en lugares húmedos. No deje que el

aparato se moje en ninguna circunstancia, pues puede

ser peligroso. Para evitar el peligro de incendio o descarga

eléctrica, no exponga el aparato al agua o la humedad.

Asimismo, no sumerja el aparato (por ejemplo, para limpiarlo).

1.4. Limpieza

Antes de proceder a la limpieza del aparato, apáguelo y

desconecte el cable de la corriente. Deje siempre que el aparato

se enfríe antes de efectuar cualquier operación de limpieza.

Para limpiar el exterior del producto, utilice únicamente un

paño suave y seco.

ADVERTENCIA

• Asegúrese siempre de que el voltaje que se utilizará

corresponde con el voltaje indicado en la unidad.

• Apague siempre el aparato antes de guardarlo, aunque sea

solo por un momento.

• No desenchufe la unidad tirando del cable. Siempre agarre

el enchufe y desconéctelo de la toma.

• No utilice el secador cerca de gas u otros materiales inflamables

(como benceno, disolventes de pintura, aerosoles, etc.).

• Dado que el asa del secador incorpora componentes

eléctricos, guarde el aparato de manera tal que el mango,

cuando esté totalmente extendido, esté fuera del alcance

de quien esté dándose un baño o una ducha.

• Cuando el secador de pelo se utiliza en un cuarto de baño,

desenchúfelo después de su uso, ya que la proximidad con

el agua representa un peligro incluso cuando el secador

está apagado.

• Como medida de seguridad adicional, recomendamos la

instalación de un interruptor de corriente residual (RCD) en

el circuito eléctrico que proporcione alimentación al baño, a

no más de 30 mA. Pida asesoramiento a su instalador.

• No use el secador de pelo con las manos mojadas o en

el baño o la ducha. No utilice este aparato cerca del agua

contenida en bañeras, lavabos u otros recipientes. No deje

ni guarde el secador cerca de una bañera, fregadero o en

otro lugar donde estará expuesto al agua y a otros líquidos

o a mucha humedad.

• No limpie el aparato con productos abrasivos o corrosivos.

• El secador de pelo está equipado con un dispositivo de

seguridad sensible al calor. En caso de sobrecalentamiento

(por ejemplo, si la rejilla posterior está bloqueada), el

secador se detendrá automáticamente. Desenchufe el

aparato y deje que se enfríe durante unos minutos. Antes

de volver a encenderlo, revise las rejillas para asegurarse de

que no estén bloqueadas con pelusa, pelo, etc.

• No dirija el flujo de aire hacia los ojos u otras áreas sensibles.

• Supervise atentamente el uso del aparato cuando sea

utilizado por niños o personas discapacitadas, o cerca de ellos.

• Si el cable está dañado, interrumpa inmediatamente el uso

del secador de pelo y devuelva la unidad al distribuidor

autorizado de servicio técnico más cercano de BECKEN

para su sustitución.

• Quite el pelo en la rejilla de entrada para mantener el

correcto funcionamiento del secador.

ADVERTENCIA: No utilice este aparato cerca de bañeras,

duchas, lavabos u otros recipientes que contengan agua.

2.2. Utilización del producto

Antes de su uso

Este secador de pelo se puede utilizar directamente desde

una fuente de alimentación de 220 a 240V CA~50Hz. Incluye

una nueva función de potencia máxima, de manera que

puede secar el pelo mojado rápidamente. Utilice la función

suave para secar pelo corto o para peinar el cabello. Para

evitar secar en exceso el pelo durante el peinado, utilice la

posición saludable única de potencia media, que reduce la

salida de calor a 57 ºC

El ionizador que se encuentra en el interior libera iones con

carga negativa que rodean su cabello. Los iones negativos

reducen la acumulación de electricidad estática y ayudan

a mantener el cabello en buen estado, dándole brillo y

suavidad y eliminando el encrespamiento.

Puede doblar el asa para almacenar el aparato.

Cómo utilizar el secador de pelo

1. Asegúrese de que el interruptor esté en la posición «0».

Enchufe la unidad y encienda el interruptor de alimentación.

2. Cómo secar el cabello después del lavado: Coloque el

interruptor en la posición «2» sin fijar la boquilla. Si desea

utilizar aire frío, presione el interruptor de aire frío o coloque

el interruptor en la posición «1». Si quiere utilizar aire caliente,

coloque el interruptor en la posición «3».

3. Cómo peinar el cabello: Coloque el interruptor en la posición

«1» y fije la boquilla. Si desea utilizar aire frío, presione el

interruptor de aire frío o coloque el interruptor de aire

caliente en la posición «2». Si quiere utilizar aire caliente,

coloque el interruptor de aire caliente en la posición «3».

4. Coloque el interruptor en la posición «0» y desenchufe la

unidad.

2.3. Mantenimiento

Limpieza

1. Desenchufe siempre la unidad antes de limpiarla.

2. Extraiga la rejilla de entrada de aire del aparato. Limpie

la rejilla de entrada de aire, la boquilla y la boquilla de

aire caliente y frío de doble ciclo con un paño húmedo o

enjuáguelas bajo el grifo.

3. Después del secado, conecte la rejilla de entrada de aire.
