DCP501 Troubleshooting

There is no sound or very little sound from the speakers.

Check the audio menus to verify the speaker is turned on and the volume is adjusted properly.

I can only record cable programming, even when trying to record a source other than cable.

Using the menu screens, check to see if CATV Record has been turned "On". If so, select "Off" setting.

Feature buttons do not function when pressed.

Make sure the source you are trying to operate has been selected.
