Installation
!Beforeplacingyournewapplianceintooperationpleaseread
these operating instructions carefully. They contain important
informationforsafeuse,forinstallationandforcareofthe
appliance.
!Pleasekeeptheseoperatinginstructionsforfuturereference.

Positioning and connection
Positioning
1. Placetheapplianceinawell-ventilatedhumidity-freeroom.
2. Do not obstruct the rear fan grills. The compressor and
condensergiveoffheatandrequiregoodventilationtooperate
correctlyandsaveenergy.
3. Leaveaspaceofatleast10cmbetweenthetoppartofthe
applianceandanyfurnitureaboveit,andatleast5cmbetween
thesidesandanyfurniture/sidewalls.
4. Ensuretheapplianceisawayfromanysourcesofheat(direct
sunlight,electricstove,etc.).
5. Inordertomaintainthecorrectdistancebetweentheappliance
andthewallbehindit,fitthespacerssuppliedintheinstallation
kit,followingtheinstructionsprovided.
Levelling
1. Installtheapplianceonalevelandrigidfloor.
2. Ifthefloorisnotperfectlyhorizontal,adjusttherefrigeratorby
tighteningorlooseningthefrontfeet.
Electrical connections
Aftertheappliancehasbeentransported,carefullyplaceit
verticallyandwaitat least3hoursbeforeconnecting ittothe
electricitymains.Beforeinsertingtheplugintotheelectricalsocket
ensurethefollowing:
• Theapplianceisearthedandtheplugiscompliantwiththelaw.
• Thesocketcanwithstandthemaximumpoweroftheappliance,
whichisindicatedonthedataplatelocatedonthebottomleft
sideofthefridge(e.g.150W).
• Thevoltagemustbeintherangebetweenthevaluesindicated
onthedataplatelocatedonthebottomleftside(e.g.220-240V).
• Thesocketiscompatiblewiththeplug of the appliance. If
thesocketisincompatiblewiththeplug,askanauthorised
techniciantoreplaceit(see Assistance).Donotuseextension
cordsormultiplesockets.
!Oncetheappliancehasbeeninstalled,thepowersupplycable
andtheelectricalsocketmustbeeasilyaccessible.
!Thecablemustnotbebentorcompressed.
!Thecablemustbecheckedregularlyandreplacedbyauthorised
techniciansonly(seeAssistance).
! The manufacturer declines any liability should these safety
measuresnotbeobserved.
Start-up and use
Starting the appliance
! Before starting the appliance, follow the installation
instructions (see Installation).
! Beforeconnectingtheappliance,cleanthecompartmentsand
accessorieswellwithlukewarmwaterandbicarbonate.
1.Inserttheplugintothesocketandensurethattheinternal
lightilluminates.
2.TurntheTEMPERATUREADJUSTMENTknobtoanaverage
value.Afterafewhoursyouwillbeabletoputfoodinthe
refrigerator.
Setting the temperature
Thetemperatureinsidetherefrigeratorcompartmentautomatically
adjustsitselfaccordingtothepositionofthethermostatknob.
1 = warmest
5=coldest
Werecommend,however,amediumposition.
Thecoolingsectionoftherefrigeratorislocatedinsidetheback
walloftherefrigeratorcompartmentfor increased space and
improved aesthetics. During operation, the back wall will be
covered in frost or water droplets depending on whether the
compressorisoperatingorpaused.Donotworry,therefrigerator
isfunctioningnormally.
Chiller system
Theappliancecomeswithoneofthechillersystemsdescribed
below:takenoteofyoursysteminordertodeterminethemost
efficientfoodstoragemethod.
Aircooler
Itisrecognizableduetothepresenceofthemechanismonthe
toppartoftherefrigeratorcompartment(see diagram).
TheAircoolermaintainsaconstantfridgetemperaturetokeep
foodfresherforlongerandwillquicklyrestorethetemperatureto
thecorrectlevel,evenifthedoorisopenedfrequently:theblown
air(A)iscooledwhenitcomesintocontactwiththecoldwall,
whereasthehotterair(B)issuckedup(see diagram).
Thebackwall may be covered in frost or droplets of water,
dependingonwhetherthecompressorisinoperationorwhether
itispaused.
Static
Modelswithoutthe Aircooler. have the cooling section in the
internalbackwallofthecompartments.Thewallwillbecovered
infrostorwaterdropletsdependingonwhetherthecompressoris
operatingorpaused:bothcasesarenormal.IftheTEMPERATURE
ADJUSTMENT knob has been set on high values with large
quantitiesoffoodand with a high ambient temperature, the
appliancecanoperatecontinuously,resultinginexcessivefrost
formationandexcessiveenergyconsumption:compensatefor
this by shifting the knob towards lower values (defrosting will
occurautomatically).
Instaticappliances,theaircirculatesinanaturalway:thecolder
airtendstomovedownwardsasitisheavier.Thefoodshouldbe
storedasfollows:
