Toolbar Function

Allconfigurationsareavailableonthispage.
Pause button. Click to pause the live video stream, click again to resume
pause.ThisfunctionisalsoavailableonVLCmodewhenusingnonIEbrowser.
Stopbutton.Clicktostopthevideostream,clickagaintoresumestop.
Whenvideostreamisstopped,thedisplaywillturnblack.Thisfunctionisalso
availableinVLCmodewhenusingnonIEbrowser.
Recordbutton.Clicktorecordthelivevideoonyourcomputer.Whenselected,
amessagewillpromptrequestingyoutospecifythefolderinwhichyouwant
to store the video. Afterselecting thefolder,click OK tobegin recording. The
buttonwillstartflashingtoindicatethattherecording
isactive.Clickagainto
stop the recording. This function is only available for Internet Explorer on
Windowssystems.

Glassdemisterbutton.Clicktoturnonthecamera’scooling/heatingsystemto
demistthewatervaporonthefrontglass.
Snapshot button. Click to take a snapshot of the video. When selected, a
window will prompt showing the captured frame, click Save Image to
complete process. The function is also available in VLC mode when using
nonIEbrowser.
Zoombutton.Clicktozoominoroutofthevideo.Whenselected,an overlay
image will appear; drag the box over the zone you want to zoom and adjust
thezoombymovingtheslidertoward“T”(tele)or“W”(wide).DigitalZoomis
onlyavailableforInternetExplorer
onWindowssystems.
Full screenbutton.Click to view the video in full screenmode. In full screen
mode,thevideoisstretchedtofittheentirescreen.Toreturnfromfullscreen
mode,presstheESCkeyonyourkeyboardorclickonanypartofthescreen.
Thefunctionisalso
availableinVLCmodewhenusingnonIEbrowser
Liveviewbutton.Clicktoreturntothemainlivevideopage.
Profile‐Selectthepreferredprofilefromthelist.Youcandefinetheseprofiles
inthesettingsmenu.
View Size‐ Two choices are provided. “Fit Screen” will resize the video to fit
theliveviewpage.“FullScreen”willdisplaythevideoatitsoriginalsize.
Protocol‐Selectthetransfer
protocol.
Set Press set button to remember the camera’s current position, preset
positionswillbenamedas“Preset1.
Preset A preset position allows users to quickly steer the camera to the
predefinedposition.
Go When selected, a dropdown list will appear allowing you to select the
presetposition.
Patrol
Before starting this function usersmust define the guard tour first. A
guard tour allows the camera to patrol preset positions in a predetermined
order or at random and for a configurable time periods. The enabled guard
tourwillkeeprunningaftertheuserhasloggedofforclosedthe
browser
ZoomClickthearrowheadordragthepointertoadjustthezoomvalue.
Focus When the zoom position is changed, the camer a may loose focus.
Adjust the focus by clicking the arrowhead or dragging its pointer along the
slidebartofindthebestimagefocus.
ReFocus‐ When
selected, the camera will automatically find the appropiate
focusvalue.

5.1 Account
Thenetworkcamera allows the creationofupto 10 useraccountswithdifferentprivilegelevels.There
arethreeuserlevels: viewer, operatorand administrator. The viewersonly haveaccesstothe live view
pageofthecamera.Theoperatorshaveaccesstotheliveviewpage,aswellasbasic
imagesettings(e.g.:
brightness,contrast).Onlytheadministratorhasfullaccesstotheallcamerasettings.
To create an account, click the addbutton. To edit or remove an account, select the username on the
accountlistandthenclickEditorRemoveasneeded.Administratorsaccountcannotbedeleted.
EnablingAnonymousViewerwillallowanyusertoaccesstheliveviewpagewithoutsigningin.

BydefaultthecameraissettoautomaticallyobtainthenecessaryIPinformationfromtheDHCPserver
(e.g.therouter).However,youmaymanuallychangetheIPaddressandotherrelatedsettings.
5.2.1 TCP/IP
InternetProtocolVersion4(TCP/IPv4):
ObtainanIPaddressautomatically(DHCP)Thisisthedefaultsetting.
Inthismodethecamera
obtainstheIPinformationfromtheDHCPserver.
UsethefollowingIPaddressSelectthisoptiontoassignastaticIPaddresstothecamera.
ObtainDNSserveraddressautomaticallyautomaticallyusetheDNSserversettingsprovidedby
theDHCPserver.
Usethe
followingDNSserveraddressSelectthisoptiontoassignaDNSserveraddress.When
DHCPisdisabled,youalsoneedtoprovidethecamerawithvalidDNSsettings.
InternetProtocolVersion6(TCP/IPv6):
IPaddressTheIPv6IPaddressofcameraisautomaticallyassignedbyconvertingtheMACaddress
oftheIPcamer a.Usersareunabletomodifyit.
HTTP:
HTTPportnumberThedefaultvalueis80.IfyouchangedtheHTTPporttoadifferentvalue(e.g.
1024), please make sure to restart the camera (Settings System Maintenance) and then
connecttothecamera
usingthefollowingURLhttp://camera_ip:portnumber.

ISPrequiresenteringspecific

SynchronizewithNTPSelecttoallowthecameratoobtainthetimefromanNTPserver.Youcan
usethedefaultvalueoryoucanenteradifferentNTPservermanually.Makesurethatyourcamera

Timezone:

Thismenumayvarydependingonyourcameramodel.IfyourcameraisnotequippedwithIRLEDs,
someoptionswillnotbeavailable.
Day/Night:
IRCutFilterModeChoosebetweenauto,nightmode,daymodeandschedule.ByselectingAuto
thecamerawillautomaticallyremovetheIRcutfilter
basedonthepredefinedthreshold.OnNight
mode,theliveviewimagewillbeblackandwhiteasthecamerawillalwaysremovetheIRcutfilter
regardlessoftheactuallightlevels.Oppositetonightmode,theDaymodewillneverremovetheIR
cutfilterfromtheimage
sensorallowingvisiblelighttopass throughthe image,providingcolored
videos.Schedulemodeallowsuserstoprogramthetimeforthecameratoengageinnightmode.
IRCutFilterSwitchDelayDefinethedurationtoenabletheIRcutfiltertoswitchmode.
IRCutFilterThreshold
DefinethethresholdtoenabletheIRcutfiltertoswitchmode.
IR Mode Choose between auto, active, inactive and schedule. Auto mode allows the IR to
automaticallyturnonwhentheIRcutfilterisremoved.ActivemodekeepstheIRonregardlessof
the IR cut filter
mode. This mode is not recommended unless the camera is installed in a dark
environment that requires IR at all times. Inactive mode will disable the IR even if IR cut filter is
removed.SelectSchedulemodeifyouwishtoprogramaspecifictimefortheIRtoturn
on/off.
SmartIRThistechnologyallows theIR toautomaticallyadjustits intensityto the scene content,
avoidingovere xposurefromhappening.

Exposure Time Define the minimum and maximum exposure time of thecamera’s shutter. It is
recommendusingthesmallestexposuretimefortheminvalue toensurecrispimagesduringday
timecondition.Asforthemax
value,thebiggerthevalue,thelongerthecamerakeepstheshutter
open in low light conditions allowing more light to fall onto the image sensor. As a result, the
cameracancaptureimageseveninvery dark environments.However,movingobjectswill appear
blurredastheymovewhilethecamera’s
shutterisopen.
GainThehigherthevalue,thebrightertheimage,butconsequentlyitwillcontainmorenoise.
LowLightBehaviorEnabletoprogramnightmodebehavior.
WideDynamicRange:
Thisfeatureallowsthenetworkcameratocapturevideoinareaswithhighlightingcontrast.
Noise
Reduction:
2DDenoiseNoisereductionalgorithmhelpsreducethegraininginthevideo,whichoccursunder
lowlightconditions.Selectthemodethatbestfityourneeds.

Defog:
Enable this feature to allow the camera to automatically increase
image contrast and provide
betterimagequalityonafoggyday.
