FIRE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE
USING YOUR STOVE FOR THE FIRST TIME
e re should not be placed directly on the tent groundsheet because it will
get very hot - always place on a suitable heat-resistant base.
Always ensure that the glawning has adequate ventilation and that the re
is properly ued out through the ashing kit (see overleaf). Be careful when
handling the ue kit as the edges can be sharp.
If the doors of the glawning are closed then some of the half moon ventilation
aps should be le open to ventilate the glawning.
Inadequate ventilation and ue set up can lead to death by carbon monoxide
poisoning. A carbon monoxide alarm should be used (and checked regularly)
as a precautionary measure, although it should not be relied on completely as
they do not work properly in all conditions.
e re should be fully extinguished before going to sleep.
Never leave the re unattended.
Ensure that you have an adequate and easily accessible means of extinguishing
the re in an emergency. We would recommend keeping a small re extin-
guisher, a heat proof glove and a re blanket in the glawning.
e re, re base and chimney will all get very hot - please ensure that animals
and children are supervised at all times and are not allowed near the re.
e re should not be burned too hot so do not overload it with fuel.
Due to the lightweight ue kit, this stove should not be used in very windy
weather.
Glamorous Awnings & Accessories
STEP 1 - For a VISTA stove you’ll
need to cut the silicone by a
small amount to fit the larger flue
(just enough to provide a cor-
rect but snug fit - around 10mm)
STEP 5 - using a screwdriver, make
a hole large enough for each of the
screws to go through.
STEP 6 - Screw on the flasing kit with
one metal plate on each side of the
tent. It can be le in place foreever
once installed.
STEP 7 - Push the flue through the
flashing kit and connect it to the
stove, making sure everything’s
straight.
STEP 8 - Sit back, relax and enjoy!
STEP 2 - Decide where you want the
stove (see guidance above) and place
the metal ring in the correct position
between the tent seams.
STEP 3 - With a pen, draw around the
INSIDE of the metal ring and mark
where each of the holes is.
STEP 4 - Carefully cut the hole in the
canvas
IMPORTANT
When deciding where to put your stove you should allow a distance of at
least 1 metre between the top of the stove and the lowest point of the canvas
through which the flue is inserted.
