■Use this unit only in the manner intended by the

manufacturer. If you have questions, contact the

manufacturer.

■Before servicing or cleaning the unit, switch power off at

service panel and lock the service disconnecting means to

prevent power from being switched on accidentally. When

the service disconnecting means cannot be locked, securely

fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag to the

service panel.

■Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by

quali ed person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes

and standards, including  re-rated construction.

■Suf cient air is needed for proper combustion and

exhausting of gases through the  ue (chimney) of fuel

burning equipment to prevent backdrafting. Follow the

heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline and safety

standards such as those published by the National Fire

Protection Association (NFPA), the American Society for

Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers

(ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.

■When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling; do not damage

electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.

■Ducted fans must always be vented outdoors.

exhaust hazardous or explosive materials and vapors.

be sure to duct air outside - do not vent exhaust air into

spaces within walls or ceilings, attics or into crawl spaces, or

GREASE FIRE:

■Never leave surface units unattended at high settings.

Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may

ignite. Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings.

■Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when

 ambeing food (i.e. Crepes Suzette, Cherries Jubilee,

Peppercorn Beef Flambé).

■Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not be

allowed to accumulate on fan or  lter.

■Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for

the size of the surface element.

■SMOTHER FLAMES with a close  tting lid, cookie sheet, or

immediately, EVACUATE AND CALL THE FIRE

■NEVER PICK UP A FLAMING PAN - you may get burned.

■DO NOT USE WATER, including wet dishcloths or towels -

a violent steam explosion will result.

■Use an extinguisher ONLY if:

-You know you have a class ABC extinguisher, and you

already know how to operate it.

– The  re is small and contained in the area where it

started.

– The  re department is being called.

– You can  ght the  re with your back to an exit.

Electrical Requirements

IMPORTANT

It is the customer’s responsibility:

To contact a qualied electrical installer.

To assure that the electrical installation is adequate and in

conformance with National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 —

latest edition*, or CSA Standards C22.1-94, Canadian Electrical

Code, Part 1 and C22.2 No.0-M91 - latest edition** and all local

codes and ordinances.

If codes permit and a separate ground wire is used, it is

recommended that a qualied electrician determine that the

ground path is adequate.

• A 120 volt, 60 Hz., AC only, 15-amp, fused electrical circuit is

required.

• If the house has aluminum wiring, follow the procedure below:

1. Connect a section of solid copper wire to the pigtail leads.

2. Connect the aluminum wiring to the added section of copper

wire using special connectors and/or tools designed and UL

listed for joining copper to aluminum.

• Follow the electrical connector manufacturer’s recommended

procedure. Aluminum/copper connection must conform with

local codes and industry accepted wiring practices.

• Wire sizes and connections must conform with the rating of

the appliance as specied on the model/serial rating plate.

The model/serial plate is located behind the lter on the rear

wall of the range hood.

• Wire sizes must conform to the requirements of the National

Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 (latest edition), or CSA

Standards C22. 1-94, Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1 and

C22.2 No. 0-M91 (latest edition and all local codes and

ordinances.

• This range hood is equipped with a power supply cord having

a 3 prong grounding plug.

• To minimize possible shock hazard, the cord must be

plugged into a mating, 3 prong, grounding-type outlet,

grounded in accordance with local codes and ordinances. If a

mating outlet is not available, it is the personal responsibility

and obligation of the customer to have the properly grounded

outlet installed by a qualied electrician.

• The grounded 3 prong outlet is to be located inside the

cabinet above the range hood at a maximum distance of

337⁄16” (85.0 cm) from where the power cord exits the hood.

The grounded 3 prong outlet must be accessible after

installation of the range hood. See illustration.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

For a grounded, cord-connected range hood:

This range hood must be grounded. In the event of an

electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric

shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.

This range hood is equipped with a cord having a grounding

wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into

an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.

WARNING: Improper grounding can result in a risk of electric

shock.

Consult a qualied electrician if the grounding instructions

are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as to

whether the range hood is properly grounded.

Do not use an extension cord. If the power supply cord is too

short, have a qualied electrician install an outlet near the

range hood.

Venting Requirements

(Ducted models only)

• Vent system must terminate to the outdoors, except for non

vented (recirculating) installations.

• Do not terminate the vent system in an attic or other enclosed

area.

• Do not use 4” (10.2 cm) laundry-type wall cap.

• Use metal vent only. Rigid metal vent is recommended.

Plastic or metal foil vent is not recommended.

• The length of vent system and number of elbows should

be kept to a minimum to provide efcient performance.

For the most efcient and quiet operation:

• Use no more than three 90° elbows.

• Make sure there is a minimum of 24” (61 cm) of straight vent

between the elbows if more than 1 elbow is used.

• Do not install 2 elbows together.

• Use clamps to seal all joints in the vent system.

• The vent system must have a damper. If the roof or wall cap

has a damper, do not use the damper supplied with the range

hood.

• Use caulking to seal exterior wall or roof opening around the

cap.

• The size of the vent should be uniform.

Cold weather installations

An additional back draft damper should be installed to minimize

backward cold air ow and a thermal break should be installed to

minimize conduction of outside temperatures as part of the vent

system. The damper should be on the cold air side of the thermal break.

The break should be as close as possible to where the vent

system enters the heated portion of the house.

Makeup air

Local building codes may require the use of makeup air systems

when using ventilation systems with greater than specied CFM

of air movement. The specied CFM varies from locale to locale.

Consult your HVAC professional for specic requirements in your area.

Venting Methods

This hood is factory set for venting through the roof or wall. A

6” (15.24 mm) round duct system is needed for installation (not

included).

NOTE: Flexible vent is not recommended. Flexible vent creates

back pressure and air turbulence that greatly reduce perfor-

mance. Vent system can terminate either through the roof or wall.

To vent through a wall, a 90° elbow is needed.

For Non-Vented (recirculating) Installations

If it is not possible to vent cooking fumes and vapors to the

outside, the hood can be used in the non-vented (recirculating)

version, tting a pair of charcoal lters to the blower. Fumes and

vapors are recycled through the round grid. See optional acceso-

ries section.

CAUTION: Mount this hood so that the bottom edge above the

cooking surface is at 27” (68.5 cm) minimum if a gas range is

used or from 24” (61 cm) to 30” (76.2 cm) if an electric range is

used. Household use, please, read installation manual for specic

application. Check your ceiling height and the hood height maxi-

mum before you select your hood.

Installation Instructions

Prepare Location

• It is recommended that the vent system be installed before

the range hood is installed.

• Before making cutouts, make sure there is proper clearance

within the ceiling or wall for vent ttings.

• Making the cutout to the bottom of the cabinet may be easier

to do prior to mounting the cabinet to the wall.

1. Disconnect power.

2. Determine which venting method to use: roof, wall, or non

vented.

3. Select a at surface for assembling the range hood. Place

covering over that surface.

WARNING: Excessive Weight Hazard.

Use two or more people to move and install range hood.

Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.

4. Using 2 or more people, lift range hood onto covered surface

inside the cabinet frame.

NOTE: Frameless type cabinets require ¾” (1.9 cm) front lip

in the cabinet bottom.

1. Complete cabinet preparation following the instructions for

your type of venting. Determine venting cutout locations and

cut out vent openings in the cabinets, walls and/or soft.

Venting Outside Through the Roof

1. Measure and mark the lines as the cutout chart shown. Use a

saber saw or keyhole saw to cut an opening through the top

of the cabinet and the roof for the vent.

2. Remove the vent duct from the range hood liner. Transfer

measurement A to the cabinet back wall. Measure from the

underside of the cabinet.

3. Mark the cutout as shown. Use a saber saw or keyhole saw

to cut a round opening through the top of the cabinet and the

exterior wall for the vent.

1. Measure and mark the centerline of the cabinet to the soft

above.

2. Measure from the bottom of the cabinet to the centerline of

the where the vent will come through the soft or cabinet top

wall. Mark the location and use a saber saw or keyhole saw to

cut a 5¾” (14.6 cm) hole for the vent cover.

(14.6 cm x 20.3 cm) rectangular opening in the cabinet top is

required for damper transition clearance.

3. Consider the cutout chart measures to make the openings

on the cabinet. NOTE: 12” (30.5 cm) high cabinets without a

soft may allow the 6” vent and vent cover to be seen.

4. Cover the grill that protects the suction motor with the carbon

lter so that the slots on the lter correspond to the pins on

the sides of the motor protection grill.

5. Turn the carbon lter clockwise to block them (bayonet xing).

NOTE: The charcoal lters cannot be cleaned. It should be

replaced every 4-6 months (depending on hood usage).

You must cut the cable tie attached to the blower to make a

proper installation.

Complete Preparation

1. If not yet attached, install the 6” (15.2 cm) vent transition the

top of the range hood liner using two 3.5 x 9.5 mm screws.

2. Locate side mounting bracket ush 1 cm to the bottom of the

cabinet side and against the inside of the front cabinet face.

Orient the bracket depending on the width of your cabinet

as depicted in the diagrams below. Using the bracket as a

template, mark 4 spots in each side of the cabinet to drill 1⁄8”

(3 mm) pilot holes. Attach a bracket using four 4.5 x 13 mm

screws to each side of the cabinet, and tighten. Additional

washers in hardware package are supplied as spacers for

cabinet walls thinner than ½” (13 mm).

Move the bracket 6⁄16” (1 cm) from the bottom

side of the cabinet.

NOTE: For 1111⁄16” (29.7 cm) depth cabinets,

the bracket must be centered to lateral walls.

3. Install the vent system according to the method needed. Use

caulking to seal the exterior wall or roof opening.

WARNING: Excessive Weight Hazard.

Use two or more people to move and install range hood.

Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.

4. Using 2 or more people, lift the hood liner into its mounted

location. Attach with four 4.2 x 19 mm screws into the slotted

openings. Do not tighten screws.

5. Center the canopy in the cabinet. Align the bottom of the

canopy with the bottom of the cabinet. Install four 4.2x19 mm

screws into the round mounting plate openings.Remove the

metal grease lters from the face panel. See the “Range Hood

Care” section.

6. Connect the lamp electrical connector.

7. Attach the face plate to the hood insert.

NOTE: If cabinet depth is greater than 12”, it is recommended

that the two 1⁄2” metal spacers are installed before attaching to

the hood insert.

8. Install to front and rear sides of the face plate with 3.5 x 9.5

mm screws as shown in drawing.

9. Tighten all mounting screws to secure.

Connect the Vent System

1. Connect the vent system to the range hood vent opening.

Seal the connection with clamps.

2. Install charcoal lters. See the “Available accesories” section.

Complete Installation

1. Replace grease lters. See the “Range Hood Care” section.

WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard

Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet.

Do not remove ground prong.

Do not use an adapter.

Do not use an extension cord.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, re, or

electrical shock.

2. Plug 3-prong power cord into a grounded 3-prong outlet

located inside the cabinet above the range hood.

3. Check the operation of the range hood fan and light. See

“Range Hood Use” section.

If range hood does not operate, check to see whether a

circuit breaker has tripped or a household fuse has blown.

Disconnect power and check wiring connections.

NOTE: To get the most efcient use from your new range

hood, read the “Range Hood Use” section.

Range Hood Use

The range hood is designed to remove smoke, cooking vapors

and odors from the cooktop area. For best results, start the hood

before cooking and allow it to operate several minutes after

the cooking is complete to clear all smoke and odors from the

kitchen.

The hood controls are located on the center of the front of the

range hood liner.

Operating the Light

The On/Off light button controls all lights. Press once for On and

again for Off.

Operating the Blower

The BLOWER SPEED buttons turn the blower on and control the

blower speed and sound level for quiet operation. The speed can

be changed anytime during fan operation by pressing the desired

blower speed button.

Press the BLOWER OFF button a second time to turn off the

blower.

NOTE: Control buttons will light up when range hood is On.

Operating the light

The Light On/Off button (1) controls both lights. Press once

for On and again for Off.

Operating the blower

The Blower On/Off button (2) turns the blower On or Off.

The Blower Speed buttons (3, 4 and 5) set the desired speed and

control the sound level for quiet operation. The speed can be

changed anytime during fan operation by pressing the desired

blower speed button.

1. To turn the blower On, press the Blower On/Off button (2) and

the desired speed button (3, 4 or 5).

2. To turn the blower Off, press the Blower On/Off button (2).

Any of the 3 blower speed buttons can be in the On position

at the same time. The blower will operate at the highest speed

button that is pushed in. For lower blower speeds, the higher

speed buttons must not be pushed in.

Range Hood Care

IMPORTANT: Clean the hood and grease lters frequently

according to the following instructions. Replace grease lters

before operating hood.

Exterior Surfaces:

To avoid damage to the exterior surface, do not use steel wool or

soap-lled scouring pads.

Always wipe dry to avoid water marks.

Cleaning Method:

• Liquid detergent soap and water, or all-purpose cleanser

• Wipe with damp soft cloth or nonabrasive sponge, then rinse

with clean water and wipe dry.

Metal Grease Filter

The lters should be washed frequently. Place metal lters in

dishwasher or hot detergent solution to clean.

Let lter dry thoroughly before replacing it.

Turn off fan and lights. Allow lamps to cool.

1. Remove each lter by pulling the spring release handle and

then pulling down the lter, or by pulling outwards the spring

and removing the lter.

2. Wash metal lters as needed in dishwasher or hot detergent

solution.

3. Reinstall the lter by making sure the spring release handles

are toward the front. Insert metal grease lter into upper track.

4. Pull the spring release handle down.

5. Push up on metal lter and release handle to latch into place.

6. Repeat steps 1-5 for the other lter.

Replacing a LED Lamp

The LED lights are replaceable by a service technician only. See

the service contact information in the next page.

WARRANTY

Parts and Service Warranty:

For the period of one year from the date of the original purchase, we will provide free of charge, non consumable parts or components

that failed due to manufacturing defects. During this one year limited warranty, we will also provide, free of charge, all labor and in-

home service to replace the defective part.

What is Not Covered:

• Damage to the product caused by  oods, act of God,  re and accidents.

• Damage caused after delivery.

• House fuses replacement or resetting of circuit breakers.

• Service trips to your home to teach you how to use or install the product.

• Light bulbs, metal, carbon  lters and the other consumable parts.

• The natural wear of  nish, and wear due to improper maintenance, use of corrosive and abrasive cleaning

products, pads, and oven cleaner products.

This warranty will be voided when:

• Product damaged due to improper installation and failure to follow installation instructions, delivery or maintenance.

• Incidental or consequential damage caused by possible defects with this appliance.

• Alteration or modi cation of the Product which may cause in damage to the Product, or failure to operate it

in accordance with speci cations.

• Damage because of improper connection with equipment of other manufacturers.

• Failure of the product if it is negligence, abused, misused, or used for other than the intended purpose or used commercially.

• Improper repair, modi cation or servicing of the Product performed by third parties other than Authorized Agents.

Who is Covered:

This warranty is extended to the original purchaser for products purchased for ordinary home use in the 48 mainland states, Hawaii,

IMPORTANTES INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ

AVERTISSEMENT: POUR RÉDUIRE LE RISQUE D’INCENDIE,

CHOC ÉLECTRIQUE OU DOMMAGES CORPORELS,

RESPECTER LES INSTRUCTIONS SUIVANTES:

■Utiliser cet appareil uniquement dans les applications envisagées

par le fabricant. Pour toute question, contacter le fabricant.

■Avant d’entreprendre un travail d’entretien ou de nettoyage,

interrompre l’alimentation de la hotte au niveau du tableau

de disjoncteurs, et verrouiller le tableau de disjoncteurs pour

empêcher tout rétablissement accidentel de l’alimentation du

circuit. Lorsqu’il n’est pas possible de verrouiller le tableau de

disjoncteurs, placer sur le tableau de disjoncteurs une

étiquette d’avertissement proéminente interdisant le

rétablissement de l’alimentation.

■Tout travail d’installation ou câblage électrique doit être réalisé

par une personne quali ée, dans le respect des prescriptions

de tous les codes et normes applicables, y compris les codes du

bâtiment et de protection contre les incendies.

■Une source d’air de débit suf sant est nécessaire pour le

fonctionnement correct de tout appareil à gaz (combustion et

évacuation des gaz à combustion par la cheminée), pour

qu’il n’y ait pas de re ux des gaz de combustion. Respecter

■Lors d’opérations de découpage et de perçage dans un mur

ou un plafond, veiller à ne pas endommager les câblages

électriques ou canalisations qui peuvent s’y trouver.

■Les ventilateurs d’évacuation doivent toujours décharger l’air

à l’extérieur.

AVERTISSEMENT: POUR MINIMISER LE RISQUE D’UN FEU DE

GRAISSE SUR LA CUISINIÈRE:

■Ne jamais laisser un élément de surface fonctionner à

puissance de chauffage maximale sans surveillance. Un

renversement/débordement de matière graisseuse pourrait

provoquer une in ammation et la génération de fumée. Utiliser

une puissance de chauffage moyenne ou basse pour le

chauffage d’huile.

■Veiller à toujours faire fonctionner le ventilateur de la hotte lors

de la cuisson avec une puissance de chauffage élevée ou lors

de la cuisson d’un mets à  amber (à savoir crêpes Suzette,

cerise jubilée, steak au poivre  ambé).

■Nettoyer fréquemment les ventilateurs d’extraction. Veiller à

ne pas laisser la graisse s’accumuler sur les surfaces du

ventilateur ou des  ltres.

■Utiliser toujours un ustensile de taille appropriée. Utiliser

toujours un ustensile adapté à la taille de l’élément chauffant.

AVERTISSEMENT: POUR RÉDUIRE LE RISQUE DE

DOMMAGES CORPORELS APRÈS LE DÉCLENCHEMENT

D’UN FEU DE GRAISSE SUR LA CUISINIÈRE, APPLIQUER LES

RECOMMANDATIONS SUIVANTES:a

■Placer sur le récipient un couvercle bien ajusté, une tôle à

biscuits ou un plateau métallique POUR ÉTOUFFER LES

FLAMMES, puis éteindre le brûleur. VEILLER À ÉVITER LES

BRÛLURES. Si les  ammes ne s’éteignent pas immédiatement,

ÉVACUER LA PIÈCE ET APPELER LES POMPIERS.

• L’appareil doit être alimenté par un circuit de 120 V CA

seulement, 60 Hz, 15 ampères, protégé par fusible.

• Si le domicile possède un câblage en aluminium, suivre la

procédure ci-dessous:

1. Raccorder une section de câble en cuivre massif aux

conducteurs en queue de cochon.

2. Connecter le câblage en aluminium à la section ajoutée de

câblage en cuivre en utilisant des connecteurs et/ou des

outils spécialement conçus et homologués UL pour xer le

cuivre à l’aluminium.

• Suivre la procédure recommandée par le fabricant de

connecteurs électriques. Les raccordements aluminium/

cuivre doivent satisfaire aux prescriptions des codes locaux

et de l’industrie, et être conformes aux pratiques de câblage

reconnues.

• Le calibre des conducteurs et les connexions doivent être

compatibles avec les caractéristiques électriques de l’appareil

spéciées sur la plaque signalétique. La plaque signalétique

de l’appareil est située derrière le ltre, sur la paroi arrière de

la hotte.

• Le calibre des conducteurs doit être conforme aux exigences

du National Electrical Code, de la plus récente édition de la

norme ANSI/NFPA 70 ou des normes CSA C22. 1-94, Code

canadien de l’électricité, partie 1 et C22.2 n° 0-M91 (édition la

plus récente) et de tous les codes et règlements en vigueur.

• Cette hotte est équipée d’un cordon d’alimentation électrique

de liaison à la terre à trois broches.

• Pour minimiser les risques de choc électrique, on doit

brancher le cordon sur une prise de courant de conguration

correspondante, à 3 alvéoles, reliée à la terre et installée

conformément aux codes et règlements locaux. Si une

prise de courant de conguration correspondante n’est pas

disponible, le client a la responsabilité et l’obligation de

fair installer par un électricien qualié une prise de courant

correctement reliée à la terre.

• La prise à 3 broches reliée à la terre doit se trouver dans un

placard situé au-dessus de la hotte, à une distance maximale

de 337⁄16” (85,0 cm) à partir du point duquel le cordon

d’alimentation sort de la hotte. La prise à 3 broches reliée

à la terre doit être accessible une fois la hotte installée. Voi

l’illustration.

INSTRUCTIONS DE MISE À LA TERRE

Pour une hotte reliée à la terre et connectée par un cordon:

Cette hotte doit être reliée à la terre. Au cas où un courtcir-

cuit

se produirait, la liaison à la terre réduit le risque de

choc électrique, en permettant au courant de s’échapper

directement vers la terre. La hotte est équipée d’un cordon

comportant un conducteur de liaison à la terre avec che de

liaison à la terre. La che doit être branchée dans une prise

correctement installée et reliée à la terre.

AVERTISSEMENT: Une mise à la terre incorrecte peut en-

traîner un risque de choc électrique.

Consulter un électricien qualié si les instructions de mise à

la terre ne sont pas complètement comprises, ou si vous

avez des doutes quant à la qualité de la liaison à la terre de

la hotte. Ne pas utiliser de câble de rallonge. Si le cordon

d’alimentation électrique est trop court, faire installer une

prise près de la hotte par un électricien qualié.

CONSERVEZ CES INSTRUCTIONS

Exigences Concernant

l’évacuation

Version à conduit

• Le circuit d’évacuation doit décharger l’air à l’extérieur

excepté pour les installations sans décharge à l’extérieu

(recyclage).

• Ne pas terminer le circuit d’évacuation dans un grenier ou

dans un autre espace clos.

• Ne pas utiliser une bouche de décharge murale de 4” (10,2

cm) normalement utilisée pour un équipement de buanderie.

• Utiliser un conduit métallique uniquement. Un conduit en

métal rigide est recommandé. Ne pas utiliser de conduit de

plastique ou en aluminium.

• La longueur du conduit de décharge et le nombre de coudes

doivent être réduits au minimum pour fournir la meilleure

performance.

Pour un fonctionnement efcace et silencieux :

• Ne pas utiliser plus de trois coudes à 90°.

• Veiller à ce qu’il y ait une section droite de conduit d’un

minimum de 24” (61 cm) entre les raccords coudés, si on doit

en utiliser plus d’un.

• Ne pas installer 2 coudes successifs.

• Le circuit d’évacuation doit comporter un clapet anti-reux.

• Au niveau de chaque jointure du circuit d’évacuation, assurer

l’étanchéité avec les brides de serrage.

• À l’aide d’un produit de calfeutrage, assurer l’étanchéité

autour de la bouche de décharge à l’extérieur (à travers le

mur ou le toit).

• La taille du conduit doit être uniforme.

Installations pour régions à climat froid

On doit installer un clapet anti-retour supplémentaire à l’arrière

pour minimiser le reux d’air froid et incorporer un élément

d’isolation thermique pour minimiser la conduction de chaleur

par l’intermédiaire du conduit d’évacuation, de l’intérieur de la

maison à l’extérieur. Le clapet anti-retour doit être placé du côté

air froid de la résistance thermique.

Air d’appoint

Les codes du bâtiment locaux peuvent exiger l’emploi d’un

système de renouvellement de l’air/introduction d’air d’appoint,

lors de l’utilisation d’un système d’aspiration de débit supérieur à

une valeur (pieds cubes par minute) spéciée. Le débit spécié

en pieds cubes par minute varie d’une juridiction à l’autre.

Consulter un professionnel des installations de chauffage

ventilation/climatisation au sujet des exigences spéciques

applicables dans la juridiction locale.

Possibilité d’évacuation

La hotte est prévue pour une évacuation verticale (à travers le

toit) ou horizontale (à travers le mur). Utiliser un conduit rond de

6” (15.24 mm) non inclus.

REMARQUE: Évent exible n’est pas recommandée. Évent

exible crée une contre-pression et l’air turbulences qui réduisent

considérablement les performances. Système de ventilation peut

résilier ce soit à travers la toit ou le mur. Pour ventilation dans le

mur, un coude à 90° est nécessaire.

Installation sans décharge à l’extérieur (Recyclage)

S’il n’est pas possible d’évacuer les fumées et vapeurs de

cuisson à l’extérieur, on peut employer la version installation

sans décharge à l’extérieur (recyclage) de la hotte, dotée de deux

ltres à charbon et du déecteur. Les vapeurs/fumées sont alors

recyclées à travers la grille rond.

AVERTISSEMENT: Monter cette hotte de sorte que le bord

inférieur au-dessus de la surface de cuisson est à 27 "(68,5 cm)

au minimum si une cuisinière de gaz est utilisé ou de 24" (61 cm)

à 30 "(76,2 cm) si une cuisinière électrique est utilisé.

Préparation de l’emplacement

• Il est recommandé que l’installation du circuit d’évacuation

soit réalisée avant celle de la hotte.

• Avant de procéder aux découpages, vérier que les distances

de séparation pour les raccords dans les cavités du plafond

ou du mur sont adéquates.

• Avant de monter le placard au mur, il sera peut-être plus facile

de découper au préalable l’ouverture dans le fond du placard.

1. Déconnecter la source de courant électrique.

2. Déterminer la méthode d’évacuation à utiliser : décharge à

travers le mur ou le toit, ou recyclage.

3. Choisir une surface plane pour l’assemblage de la hotte.

Placer le matériau de protection sur cette surface.

AVERTISSEMENT: Risque du poids excessif. Utiliser deux

ou plus de personnes pour déplacer et installer la hotte de

la cuisinière. Le non-respect de cette instruction peut causer

une blessure au dos ou d’autre blessure.

4. À l’aide de deux personnes ou plus, soulever la hotte et la

poser sur la surface couverte.

une ouverture dans le fond du placard, à l’intérieur du cadre

du placard.

REMARQUE: Pour les placards sans cadres, un rebord avant

dans le fond du placard. Une tringle d’appui de ¾” (1,9 cm)

l’emplacement et utiliser une scie sauteuse ou scie à guichet

pour découper un trou de 5¾” (14,6 cm) pour le cache-conduit.

3. Considérez les mesures de tableau du coupé pour faire les

ouvertures.

REMARQUE: Pour des placards de 12” (30,5 cm) de hauteur

qui ne comportent pas de softe, le conduit et le cache-

conduit de 6” (15,2 cm) peuvent rester visibles.

4. Posez le ltre à charbon comme couverture de la grille

qui protège le moteur aspirant de manière que les fentes

présentes sur le ltre correspondent aux pivots sur les côtés

de la grille protège-moteur.

5. Tournez le ltre à charbon dans le sens des aiguilles d’une

montre pour le bloquer (xation à baïonnette).

REMARQUE: Les ltres à charbon ne doivent pas être

nettoyés. Les ltres à charbon doivent être remplacés après 4

à 6 mois en fonction de l’utilisation de la hotte.

Pour installer les ltres à charbon correctement, vous devez

couper la sangle en plastique situé sur le bord du moteur.

Achever la préparation

1. S’il n’est pas encore xé, installer le raccord de transition de

6” (15,2 cm) au sommet de la caisse de la hotte à l’aide de

deux vis de 3,5 x 9,5 mm.

2. Repérer l’emplacement de la bride latérale de montage,

en afeurement avec le bas de la paroi latérale du placard

et contre l’intérieur de la face avant du placard. Orienter la

bride tel qu’indiqué dans l’illustration suivante. En utilisant le

des rondelles supplémentaires en plastique qui peuvent être

utilisées come cales si l’épaisseur des parois du placard est

inférieure à ½” (13 mm).

Déplacer le support 6⁄16” (1 cm) du fond

côté de l’armoire

REMARQUE: Pour armoires du 1111⁄16” (29.7

cm) de profondeur, le support doit être

centrée sur les murs latéraux.

3. Installer le circuit d’évacuation selon la méthode requise.

Utiliser un calfeutrant pour assurer l’étanchéité au point de

traversée du mur extérieur ou du toit.

AVERTISSEMENT: Risque du poids excessif.

Utiliser deux ou plus de personnes pour déplacer et installer

la hotte de la cuisinière.

Le non-respect de cette instruction peut causer une blessure

au dos ou d’autre blessure.

4. À l’aide d’au moins 2 personnes, soulever la caisse de la

hotte et l’installer. La xer dans les encoches en forme de

trou de serrure à l’aide de quatre vis de 4,2 x 19 mm. Ne pas

serrer les vis.

5. Aligner la base de l’auvent avec le bas du placard. Installer

quatre vis de 4,2 x 19 mm dans les trous de la plaque de

montage et serrer les vis de montage.

6. Ôter les ltres à graisse métalliques du panneau avant. Voir la

section “Entretien de la hotte”.

7. Branchez le connecteur électrique de la lampe.

8. Fixer le panneau à la caisse de la hotte.

REMARQUE: Si la profondeur de l’armoire est supérieur

à 12", il est recommandé que les deux 1⁄2" entretoises

métalliques sont installés.

Installez de faces et arrière del panneau avec vis de 3,5 x 9,5

mm, comme illustré dans dessin.
