This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
Warning: Improper use of the wire can result in the risk of electric shock.
Consult a qualified electrician if necessary. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature by modifying the plug.
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting
from entanglement or tripping over a longer cord. If it is necessary to use
an extension cord, it should be positioned such that it does not drape
over the counter or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over. The marked rating of the extension cord must be equal to
or greater than the rating of this appliance. The electrical rating is listed
on the bottom of this unit.
Additional Safety Information
Before Your First Use
Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials.
Ensure that the unit is unplugged. To remove any dust that may have
accumulated during packaging, wipe the exterior with a clean, damp
cloth.
CAUTION:
Do not immerse the appliance, cord or plug in water.
IMPORTANT:
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleansers on any part of the appliance.
We recommend a “trial run” to familiarize yourself with your Crepe Maker
and to eliminate any protective substance or oil that may have been used
for packing and shipping. Plug in the Crepe Maker, set the temperature
to maximum and let it heat for 20 minutes. A small amount of smoke and
odor may be detected. This is normal and will go away after subsequent
uses. This procedure is only needed with new units before their first use.

California ingredients
with his classical French
techniques, are enjoyed by
world leaders, stars and fellow chefs alike. He established other
trend-setting restaurants like Postrio in San Francisco, Chinois
on Main in Santa Monica, Trattoria del Lupo, Cut, and his latest
creation, Jai, an Asian fusion restaurant in San Diego. Home chefs
can also share Mr. Puck’s talents through his cookbooks, cutlery,
cookware and, of course, through his appliances!

Using Your Crepe Maker
You can prepare a crepe to perfection in about 3 minutes. Your Crepe
Maker can also be used to prepare a variety of food items such as
pancakes. Please see recipes in the back of this manual.
Helpful Hints
Always preheat your Crepe Maker. Plug the appliance into a 120-volt
60HZ AC outlet only. The Power Indicator Light will illuminate.
Turn the Temperature Dial to the desired setting. The Ready Indicator
Light will illuminate once the Crepe Maker has reached the set
temperature.
The temperature can be adjusted at any time before or during the
cooking process. You can adjust the temperature by rotating the
Temperature Dial. The temperature range is 175°F to 400°F. The
Ready Indicator Light is thermostatically controlled and will cycle
on and off during the cooking process to maintain the correct
temperature.
Apply nonstick cooking spray to the Cooking Plate. Pour the prepared
batter onto the Cooking Plate then use the Crepe Spreader to spread
out the batter. Be careful not to touch the hot surface.
Crepes are done cooking in a short amount of time. Remove
immediately using the Turner when steaming slows or a slightly
golden brown color is achieved.
When you have finished using your appliance, disconnect the plug
from the wall outlet and allow the unit to cool down completely
before cleaning or storing.
