IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs or appliance in
water or other liquid.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Contact Consumer Service for
examination, repair or adjustment.
8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injuries. ONLY use the detachable power supply cord
provided with your Electric Gravy Boat Warmer.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
12. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or
other hot liquids.
13. Always attach plug to appliance rst, then plug cord into the wall outlet.
14. To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
15. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
16. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding refrigerated foods into a
heated gravy boat. See section entitled “Caring For Your Ceramic Gravy Boat &
Lid” for detailed instructions.
17. CAUTION: Never heat the ceramic gravy boat when it is empty.
18. CAUTION: Do not use Electric Gravy Boat Warmer if warmer base is broken.
19. CAUTION: Do not clean the Electric Gravy Boat Warmer if warmer base is broken.
Cleaning solutions and spillovers may penetrate the broken cook-top and create a
risk of electric shock.
20. Clean warmer base with caution. Make sure the warmer base is fully cooled before
cleaning.
CAUTION: Using a wet sponge or cloth to wipe spills on a hot cooking area may
cause a risk of steam burns.
CAUTION: Some cleaners can produce noxious fumes if applied to a hot surface.

SAFEGUARDS
CAUTION, HOT SURFACES: This appliance generates heat and escaping steam during
use. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, res or other
injury to persons or damage to property.
1. A person who has not read and understood all operating and safety instructions
is not qualied to operate this appliance. All users of this appliance must read and
understand this Instruction Manual before operating or cleaning this appliance.
2. If the warmer base falls or accidentally becomes immersed in water, unplug it from
the wall outlet immediately. Do not reach into the water!
3. When using this appliance, provide adequate air space above and on all sides for
air circulation. Do not operate this appliance while it is touching or near curtains,
wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other ammable materials.
4. Do not leave this appliance unattended during use.
5. If this appliance begins to malfunction during use, immediately unplug the cord.
Do not use or attempt to repair a malfunctioning appliance!
6. The cord to this appliance should only be plugged into a 120V AC electrical wall
outlet.
7. Do not use this appliance in an unstable position.
8. Never use the ceramic gravy boat on a gas or electric cooktop or on an open ame
or in a heated oven.
WARNING: To avoid scalding, lift off lid carefully, and allow water to drip into ceramic
gravy boat.
CAUTION: To prevent damage or shock hazard, do not cook on warmer base. Add
warmed gravy/sauce/syrup to the ceramic gravy boat provided.
Notes on the Plug
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a
qualied electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
Notes on the Cord (Detachable Cord Instructions)
The provided short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should be
used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer
cord. Do not use an extension cord with this product.
Plasticizer Warning
CAUTION: To prevent Plasticizers from migrating from the nish of the counter top or
table top or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between the
appliance and the nish of the counter top or table top. Failure to do so may cause the
nish to darken; permanent blemishes may occur or stains can appear.
Electric Power
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not
operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other
appliances.

Introduction
This attractive white ceramic gravy boat and lid uses an electric warming base to keep your gravy/sauce/syrup at
the optimal serving temperature for up to 2 hours. Even heating prevents lumps and solids from forming. Used
cordlessly, the ceramic gravy boat will maintain the ideal serving temperature for up to 30 minutes. The large
2-1/4 cup capacity ceramic gravy boat is designed with a wide spout and large cool to the touch handle for easy,
spill-proof pouring. The ceramic gravy boat and lid are dishwasher safe.

Before Using for the First Time
1. Remove all packaging materials from your Electric Gravy Boat Warmer. Check to make sure ceramic gravy
boat, lid, warmer base and detachable power cord are present and in perfect condition.
2. Wipe the warmer base with a clean damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
CAUTION: Do not immerse the warmer base in water.
3. Wash and rinse ceramic gravy boat and lid, dry thoroughly and replace on the warmer base.
4. Position the warmer base on a at, heat-resistant surface, as close to an electrical outlet as possible. Make
sure the warmer base is unplugged.
Operating Instructions
CAUTION: ALWAYS UNPLUG ELECTRIC GRAVY BOAT WARMER FROM ELECTRICAL OUTLET
WHEN NOT IN USE.
IMPORTANT: Gravy or sauce should be hot/warm when added to the ceramic gravy boat. The Electric Gravy Boat
Warmer is designed to keep the gravy or sauce at a perfect serving temperature. It is not intended to cook gravy/
sauce/syrup or heat cold gravy/sauce/syrup.
1. Prepare recipe according to instructions.
2. Remove the lidded ceramic gravy boat from the warmer base. Grasp lid knob to pull up and off.
3. Fill the gravy boat 3/4 full with gravy/sauce/syrup.
4. Cooled and previously prepared gravy/sauce/syrup may be warmed the ceramic gravy boat. Add the lid
and microwave on HIGH in 1 minute increments, stirring as needed.
CAUTION: Do not ll the ceramic gravy boat to the top with food. Over-lling could cause heated gravy/
sauce/syrup to overow and cause damage the unit.
5. Attach plug to appliance rst, then plug cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The power ON indicator light
will illuminate
CAUTION: WARMER BASE WILL GET VERY WARM DURING COOKING. TO MOVE, USE POT HOLDERS OR
OVEN MITTS TO CAREFULLY GRASP WARMER BASE.
6. The power cord detaches for table or bedside service.
7. The ceramic gravy boat will keep gravy/sauce/syrup at perfect serving temperature for up to 30 minutes
after being unplugged.
8. Remove plug from wall outlet to turn Electric Gravy Boat Warmer OFF when not in use.
CAUTION: Unplugged, the warming base remains hot for some time after using; set aside and allow unit
to cool before cleaning or storing.
User Maintenance Instructions
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it
yourself. Any servicing must be performed by a qualied appliance repair technician.
Care & Cleaning Instructions
CAUTION: NEVER IMMERSE BASE UNIT OR CORD IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID.
Caring For Your Ceramic Gravy Boat & Lid
Like any ceramic, the gravy boat and lid may crack or break if not properly handled. To prevent damage, handle
with care!
WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions can cause breakage resulting in injury or property damage.
1. Avoid sudden, extreme temperature changes. For example, do not place a hot lid or ceramic gravy boat
into cold water or onto a wet surface.
2. DO NOT use the ceramic gravy boat to store food in the refrigerator, and then reheat in the warmer base.
3. DO NOT strike utensils against rim or body of ceramic gravy boat.
4. Avoid hitting the ceramic gravy boat and lid against the faucet or other hard surfaces.
5. DO NOT use or repair any ceramic gravy boat or lid if chipped, cracked, or severely scratched.
6. DO NOT place hot ceramic gravy boat on directly on table or counter top. Remove the detachable cord and
use the warmer base to serve.
7. DO NOT place ceramic gravy boat on any range top burner, under a broiler, microwave browning element,
or in a toaster oven.
8. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or any object that will scratch the cookware or base unit.
9. DO NOT use ceramic gravy boat for reheating foods or for general food storage.
10. Always place foods into the ceramic gravy boat at serving temperature; then place ceramic gravy boat
into the base unit before turning unit ON.
11. Clean warmer base with caution. Always unplug after cooking and allow to cool completely before
cleaning.

14. Wash ceramic gravy boat and lid in warm, soapy water. If food sticks to the ceramic gravy boat, ll with
warm soapy water and allow to soak, before cleaning with a plastic scouring pad.
15. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
16. Wipe exterior of the warmer base with a soft, slightly damp cloth or sponge.
17. Never use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads to clean the warmer base, as they may damage the
surfaces.
18. CAUTION: Do not clean the Electric Gravy Warmer if warmer base is broken. Cleaning solutions and
spillovers may penetrate the broken cook-top and create a risk of electric shock.
Storing Instructions
1. Allow to dry thoroughly before storing.
2. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance; keep it loosely coiled.

Recipes
America’s Favorite Turkey Giblet Pan Gravy
This recipe makes an intensely rich avored turkey gravy.
1 tablespoon canola oil
raw turkey giblets, neck, tail
1 onion, chopped
6 cups chicken or turkey stock
2 fresh thyme branches
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup all-purpose our
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
turkey pan drippings
caramelized vegetables from cooked turkey
1. Heat oil in heavy pan. Add turkey giblets, neck and tail to hot oil. Sauté on high for 5 minutes,
until golden brown.
2. Add onions, and continue cooking 3 to 4 minutes, until soft.
3. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook 20 minutes, until the turkey and onion juices are released.
4. Add stock and thyme. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
5. Uncover pan, and continue to simmer another 30 minutes. Skim particles from the surface as
gravy cooks.
6. Strain broth, discard thyme and tail. When cool enough to handle, nely chop cooked giblets.
Remove neck meat and chop. Set hot stock mixture aside.
7. In a large, heavy pan, prepare a dark roux as thickener for gravy. Heat butter and add our. Cook
slowly for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently until the roux turns a rich brown.
8. Whisk the hot stock mixture into the roux. Bring to a boil, then simmer at least 40 minutes, until
gravy is slightly thickened.
9. When turkey is cooked and transferred to a cutting board to rest, defat pan juices. Add to blender
jar with caramelized vegetables from roasted turkey, blend well, then add to gravy. Stir well and
add to gravy.
10. Continue cooking until gravy is reduced to half.
11. Taste gravy and add salt and pepper to taste. Before serving, add giblets and meat.
12. Pour into the gravy boat to keep warm. Rell as necessary.
Chipotle Gravy
Use this hot and spicy gravy to liven up sh, pork, roasted chicken or turkey. Perfect to serve over
veggies and rice.
Makes: 1-1/2 cups gravy
3 oz. (1/2 can) chipotle peppers in adobo
sauce, chopped
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons all-purpose our
1/4 cup cream
1. Combine chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, milk, and chicken broth in a saucepan.
2. Dissolve our in the cream and stir into the chicken broth.
3. Cook on medium heat, stirring frequently, until thickened and bubbly.
4. Taste gravy and add more chopped chipotle peppers or adobo sauce if a spicier gravy is desired.
5. Continue to cook and stir for 1 minute.
6. . Pour into the gravy boat to keep warm.
NOTE: Freeze leftover chipotle peppers in a small zippered storage bag for later use

Rich Beef Mushroom Gravy
1 tablespoon canola oil
1-1/2 - 2 tablespoons beef pan drippings
8 oz. shiitake mushrooms
8 oz. large white stufng mushrooms,
1 shallot, nely diced
1 cup beef stock
1 tablespoon cold unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1. Prepare mushrooms. Rub with a clean towel to clean. Remove stems. Slice shitakes very thin.
Shred large white mushroom caps on a box grater.
2. Add 1-1/2 to tablespoons beef pan drippings to a heavy skillet
3. Sauté mushrooms and shallots over high heat. Cook uncovered until golden brown and all
mushroom liquid has evaporated.
4. Add beef stock and continue to cook until reduced by half.
5. Turn heat down to medium. Whisk in the butter and mustard and cook for 30 seconds, until gravy
is rich and smooth.
6. Taste gravy and add salt and pepper to taste.
7. Pour into the gravy boat to keep warm.
Chocolate Maple Syrup
1-1/2 cups maple syrup (Grade B)
8 oz. semisweet chocolate, nely chopped or
grated
1/2 stick (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, cut into
pieces, room temperature
pinch sea salt
1. In a small heavy saucepan simmer maple syrup until hot.
2. Remove from heat, and whisk in chocolate, butter, and salt.
3. Simmer on low heat, whisking for 1 minute or until butter is melted and syrup is smooth.
4. Pour into the gravy boat to keep warm.
5. Serve warm Chocolate Maple Syrup warm over pancakes, wafes, cakes or dishes of delicious ice
cream.
6. Sauce can be stored in a sealed container and refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

Limited TWO-YEAR Warranty
SENSIO Inc. hereby warrants that for a period of TWO YEARS from the date
of purchase, this product will be free from mechanical defects in material and
workmanship, and for 90 days in respect to non-mechanical parts. At its sole
discretion, SENSIO Inc. will either repair or replace the product found to be defective,
or issue a refund on the product during the warranty period.
The warranty is only valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail
purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is
required to obtain warranty validation. Retail stores selling this product do not have the
right to alter, modify, or in any way revise the terms and conditions of the warranty.
EXCLUSIONS:
The warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the
following: negligent use of the product, use of improper voltage or current, improper
routine maintenance, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair,
or alteration by anyone other than qualied SENSIO Inc. personnel. Also, the warranty
does not cover Acts of God such as re, oods, hurricanes, or tornadoes.
SENSIO Inc. shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused
by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Apart from the extent prohibited
by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or tness for a particular
purpose is limited in time to the duration of the warranty. Some states, provinces or
jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and therefore, the
above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. The warranty covers specic
legal rights which may vary by state, province and/or jurisdiction.
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:
You must contact Customer Service at our toll-free number: 1-866-832-4843.
A Customer Service Representative will attempt to resolve warranty issues over the
phone. If the Customer Service Representative is unable to resolve the problem, you will
be provided with a case number and asked to return the product to SENSIO Inc. Attach
a tag to the product that includes: your name, address, daytime contact telephone
number, case number, and description of the problem. Also, include a copy of the
original sales receipt. Carefully package the tagged product with the sales receipt,
and send it (with shipping and insurance prepaid) to SENSIO Inc.’s address. SENSIO
Inc. shall bear no responsibility or liability for the returned product while in transit to
SENSIO Inc.’s Customer Service Center.
