IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Introduction
This attractive white ceramic gravy boat and lid uses an electric warming base to keep your gravy/sauce/syrup at
the optimal serving temperature for up to 2 hours. Even heating prevents lumps and solids from forming. Used
cordlessly, the ceramic gravy boat will maintain the ideal serving temperature for up to 30 minutes. The large
2-1/4 cup capacity ceramic gravy boat is designed with a wide spout and large cool to the touch handle for easy,
spill-proof pouring. The ceramic gravy boat and lid are dishwasher safe.

Before Using for the First Time
1. Remove all packaging materials from your Electric Gravy Boat Warmer. Check to make sure ceramic gravy
boat, lid, warmer base and detachable power cord are present and in perfect condition.
2. Wipe the warmer base with a clean damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
CAUTION: Do not immerse the warmer base in water.
3. Wash and rinse ceramic gravy boat and lid, dry thoroughly and replace on the warmer base.
4. Position the warmer base on a at, heat-resistant surface, as close to an electrical outlet as possible. Make
sure the warmer base is unplugged.
Operating Instructions
CAUTION: ALWAYS UNPLUG ELECTRIC GRAVY BOAT WARMER FROM ELECTRICAL OUTLET
WHEN NOT IN USE.
IMPORTANT: Gravy or sauce should be hot/warm when added to the ceramic gravy boat. The Electric Gravy Boat
Warmer is designed to keep the gravy or sauce at a perfect serving temperature. It is not intended to cook gravy/
sauce/syrup or heat cold gravy/sauce/syrup.
1. Prepare recipe according to instructions.
2. Remove the lidded ceramic gravy boat from the warmer base. Grasp lid knob to pull up and off.
3. Fill the gravy boat 3/4 full with gravy/sauce/syrup.
4. Cooled and previously prepared gravy/sauce/syrup may be warmed the ceramic gravy boat. Add the lid
and microwave on HIGH in 1 minute increments, stirring as needed.
CAUTION: Do not ll the ceramic gravy boat to the top with food. Over-lling could cause heated gravy/
sauce/syrup to overow and cause damage the unit.
5. Attach plug to appliance rst, then plug cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The power ON indicator light
will illuminate

CAUTION: Unplugged, the warming base remains hot for some time after using; set aside and allow unit

1. Avoid sudden, extreme temperature changes. For example, do not place a hot lid or ceramic gravy boat
into cold water or onto a wet surface.
2. DO NOT use the ceramic gravy boat to store food in the refrigerator, and then reheat in the warmer base.
3. DO NOT strike utensils against rim or body of ceramic gravy boat.
4. Avoid hitting the ceramic gravy boat and lid against the faucet or other hard surfaces.
5. DO NOT use or repair any ceramic gravy boat or lid if chipped, cracked, or severely scratched.
6. DO NOT place hot ceramic gravy boat on directly on table or counter top. Remove the detachable cord and
use the warmer base to serve.
7. DO NOT place ceramic gravy boat on any range top burner, under a broiler, microwave browning element,
or in a toaster oven.

America’s Favorite Turkey Giblet Pan Gravy
This recipe makes an intensely rich avored turkey gravy.
1 tablespoon canola oil
raw turkey giblets, neck, tail
1 onion, chopped
6 cups chicken or turkey stock
2 fresh thyme branches
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup all-purpose our
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
turkey pan drippings
caramelized vegetables from cooked turkey
1. Heat oil in heavy pan. Add turkey giblets, neck and tail to hot oil. Sauté on high for 5 minutes,
until golden brown.
2. Add onions, and continue cooking 3 to 4 minutes, until soft.
3. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook 20 minutes, until the turkey and onion juices are released.
4. Add stock and thyme. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
5. Uncover pan, and continue to simmer another 30 minutes. Skim particles from the surface as
gravy cooks.
6. Strain broth, discard thyme and tail. When cool enough to handle, nely chop cooked giblets.
Remove neck meat and chop. Set hot stock mixture aside.
7. In a large, heavy pan, prepare a dark roux as thickener for gravy. Heat butter and add our. Cook
slowly for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently until the roux turns a rich brown.
8. Whisk the hot stock mixture into the roux. Bring to a boil, then simmer at least 40 minutes, until
gravy is slightly thickened.
9. When turkey is cooked and transferred to a cutting board to rest, defat pan juices. Add to blender
jar with caramelized vegetables from roasted turkey, blend well, then add to gravy. Stir well and
add to gravy.
10. Continue cooking until gravy is reduced to half.
11. Taste gravy and add salt and pepper to taste. Before serving, add giblets and meat.
12. Pour into the gravy boat to keep warm. Rell as necessary.

2. Dissolve our in the cream and stir into the chicken broth.
3. Cook on medium heat, stirring frequently, until thickened and bubbly.
4. Taste gravy and add more chopped chipotle peppers or adobo sauce if a spicier gravy is desired.
5. Continue to cook and stir for 1 minute.

Rich Beef Mushroom Gravy
1 tablespoon canola oil
1-1/2 - 2 tablespoons beef pan drippings
8 oz. shiitake mushrooms
8 oz. large white stufng mushrooms,
1 shallot, nely diced
1 cup beef stock
1 tablespoon cold unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1. Prepare mushrooms. Rub with a clean towel to clean. Remove stems. Slice shitakes very thin.
Shred large white mushroom caps on a box grater.
2. Add 1-1/2 to tablespoons beef pan drippings to a heavy skillet
3. Sauté mushrooms and shallots over high heat. Cook uncovered until golden brown and all
mushroom liquid has evaporated.
4. Add beef stock and continue to cook until reduced by half.
5. Turn heat down to medium. Whisk in the butter and mustard and cook for 30 seconds, until gravy

2. Remove from heat, and whisk in chocolate, butter, and salt.
3. Simmer on low heat, whisking for 1 minute or until butter is melted and syrup is smooth.

5. Serve warm Chocolate Maple Syrup warm over pancakes, wafes, cakes or dishes of delicious ice
cream.

does not cover Acts of God such as re, oods, hurricanes, or tornadoes.
SENSIO Inc. shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused
by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Apart from the extent prohibited
by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or tness for a particular
purpose is limited in time to the duration of the warranty. Some states, provinces or
jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and therefore, the

a tag to the product that includes: your name, address, daytime contact telephone
number, case number, and description of the problem. Also, include a copy of the
original sales receipt. Carefully package the tagged product with the sales receipt,
and send it (with shipping and insurance prepaid) to SENSIO Inc.’s address. SENSIO
Inc. shall bear no responsibility or liability for the returned product while in transit to
