The appliance has the following technical
specifications:
Class: 1
Positioning
The dimensions of the appliance are given in the
figure. For trouble-free operation of appliances
installed in housing units, the minimum distances
shown in figure should be observed. Adjacent
surfaces and the wall at the rear should also be able
to withstand an overheating temperature of 65 °C. On
the lower part of the stove there are 4 adjustable feet
with a screw which will allow you to level the stove
when necessary. It is essential for the appliance to be
level. Warping caused by bad positioning could alter
the characteristics and performance of the appliance
itself.
Electrical connection
THE APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
The hob is designed to work with alternating current at
the supply voltage and frequency indicated on the
data plate (situated on the bottom part of the
appliance or on the last page of the instruction
booklet). Make sure that the local supply voltage
corresponds to the voltage indicated on the data
plate. The hob is not fitted with a power supply cable,
as the cable should be sized according to the type of
electrical connection in use (see connection diagram
below). Use a H05VV-F rubber cable.
Open the terminal board following the instructions on

Connecting the supply cable to the mains
Install a standardised plug corresponding to the load
indicated on the data plate. When connecting the
cable directly to the mains, install an omnipolar switch
with a minimum contact opening of 3 mm between the
appliance and the mains. The omnipolar switch should
be sized according to the load and should comply
with current regulations (the earth wire should not be
interrupted by the switch). The supply cable must be
in such a position that no part of it can reach a
temperature of 50°C above room temperature. Before
connecting to the power supply, make sure that:
The limiter valve and the domestic system can
withstand the load from the appliance (see data
plate);
The mains are properly earthed in compliance with
current directives and regulations;
There is easy access to the socket and omnipolar
switch, once the hob has been installed.

Induction zones
Induction is the fastest cooking method available.
Unlike traditional cooking zones, the induction zone
does not heat up the glass surface. The pan itself is
the heating element: the pan evenly transfers heat to
its contents as long as it is made of ferromagnetic
material.

GB
Start-up and use
The glue applied on the gaskets leaves traces of grease
on the glass. Before using the appliance, we recommend
you remove these with a special non-abrasive cleaning
product. During the first few hours of use there may be a
smell of rubber which will disappear very quickly.
A few seconds after the hob is connected to the
electricity supply, a buzzer will sound. The hob may now
be switched on.
Types of no ise durin g n o rmal ho b operation :
Buzz: due to the vibration of the metallic parts that
make up the induction element and the pot; it is
generated by the electromagnetic field required for
heating and increases as the power of the induction
element increases.
Soft whistle: heard when the pot placed on the
heating zone is empty; the noise disappears once food
or water is placed into the pot.
Crackle: produced by the vibration of materials on the
bottom of the pot due to the flow of parasitic currents
caused by electromagnetic fields (induction); can be
more or less intense depending on the material making
up the bottom of the pot, and decreases as the pot
dimensions increase.
Loud whistle: heard when two induction elements of
the same group function simultaneously at maximum
power and/or when the booster function is set on the
larger element while the other is auto-adjusted. Noise is
reduced by decreasing the power level of the auto-
adjusted induction element; pot bottom layers made of
different kinds of materials are among the main causes
of this noise.
Fan noise: a fan is necessary to ensure the hob
functions correctly and to safeguard the electronic unit
from possible overheating. The fan functions at
maximum power when the large induction element is at
maximum power or when the booster function is on; in
all other cases, it works at average power depending on
the temperature detected. Furthermore, the fan may
continue to work even after switching the hob off, if the
temperature detected is high.
The types of noise listed above are due to induction
technology and are not necessarily operational faults.

In addition, to obtain the best results from your hob:
Use pans with a thick, flat base in order to fully utilise
the cooking zone.
Always use pans with a diameter which is large enough
to cover the hotplate fully, in order to use all the
available heat.
Make sure that the base of the cookware is always
clean and dry, in order to fully utilise and extend the life
of both the cooking zones and the cookware.
Avoid using the same cookware which has been used
on gas burners: the heat concentration on gas burners
may distort the base of the pan, causing it not to
adhere correctly.
Safety devices
Pan sensor
Each cooking zone is equipped with a pan sensor device.
The hotplate only emits heat when a pan with suitable
measurements for the cooking zone is placed on it. If the
power level indicator display flashes, this may be because:
An incompatible pan
A pan whose diameter is too small
The pan has been removed from the hotplate.
Residual heat indicators
Each cooking zone is equipped with a residual heat
indicator. This indicator signals which cooking zones
are still at a high temperature. If the power display
shows
, the cooking zone is still hot. It is
possible, for example, to keep a dish warm or melt
butter or chocolate. As the cooking zone cools, the
power display will show
. The display switches off
when the cooking zone has cooled sufficiently.
Overheatin g p ro tec tio n
If the electronic elements overheat, the hob switches off
automatically and
F appears on the display, followed by a
flashing number. When the temperature has reached a
suitable level, this message disappears and the hob may
be used again.
Saf ety switc h
The appliance has a safety switch which automatically
switches the cooking zones off after they have been in
operation for a certain amount of time at a particular
power level. When the safety switch has been triggered,
the display shows 0.
For example: the rear right-hand hotplate is set to 5 and
will switch off after 7 and a half hours of continuous
operation, while the front left-hand hotplate is set to 2 and
will switch off after 9 and a half hours.

GB
The oven gives nine different heating element
combinations; so the most suitable type of cooking for
each dish can therefore be chosen, with convincing
results.
By turning the selector knob marked with the symbol
, different cooking functions are obtained, as
shown in the table on the right.
Symbol Function Power
0
0) Off -
1) Top + Bottom heating elements 2350 W
2) Bottom heating element 1300 W
3) minigrill element 1050 W
4) Grill heating element 2000 W
5) MaxiGrill heating element 3050 W
6) MaxiGrill heating element + fan 3100 W
7) Bottom heating elements+fan 1350 W
8) Rear round heating element + fan 2850 W
9) Fast defrosting 50 W
After having selected the cooking function, set the
thermostat knob
marked with the symbol °C to
the temperature required.
For traditional cooking (roasts, biscuits, etc.) in
conventional mode use the function
(hot
above + below).
Only put the food to be cooked into the oven when
it has reached the selected temperature and
preferably use just one shelf for cooking.
To provide heat only to the bottom or the top part of
the dishes, turn the selector to the position
(hot
below), or
(hot above).
With this function
(fan assisted) heat is
transmitted to the foods through pre-heated air
made to circulate inside the oven by a fan. The
oven heats up very quickly so the food to be
cooked may be put into the oven as it is switched
on. Cooking is also possible simultaneously on both
shelves.
The fast defrostingfunction
uses no heating
elements, just the oven light and the fan.
Grill operation: a high heat output is used for
grilling, so that the surface of the food is
immediately browned; this is particularly indicated
for meats which should remain tender on the inside.
To grill, turn the selector knob to the position
(Grill), (Maxigrill), (Maxigrill + fan).
During grilling, do not set the thermostat knob to
over 200 °C and keep the oven door closed (not
even in the minigrill mode).
The oven light comes on automatically when the
selector knob is turned to any of its positions.
Indicator light
It indicates that the oven is heating up. When the light
goes out, the required temperature has been reached
inside the oven.
When the light alternately comes on and goes out, it
means that the thermostat is working properly to
maintain the oven temperature constant.
Spit - Rotisserie
This accessory is to be used exclusively when grilling
food.
Proceed as follows: insert the meat to be cooked
along the length of the spit rod, securing it with the
special adjustable forks.
Introduce the supports A and B into the holes in
the drip tray E, rest the rod groove on the seat C
and insert the oven rack into the lowest guide of the
oven; now insert the spit rod into the relative hole,
moving the groove forward into seat D.
Start the grill and the rotisserie by turning the
thermostat knob to the position with the
symbols.
GB
45
Cooling ventilation
In order to cool down the temperature of their exterior,
some models are fitted with a cooling fan that comes
on when the programme selector knob is turned. In
this case, the fan is always on and a normal flow of air
can be heard exiting between the oven door and the
control panel.
Note: when cooking is done, the fan stays on, even
if selector knob is set to 0, until the oven
has
cooled down sufficiently.
In "Fast cooking" mode, the fan comes on
automatically only when the oven is hot.
Once you have removed the food from the oven, we
recommend you leave the oven door ajar for a few
minutes: this will drastically reduce the duration of the
cooling cycle. The process is controlled by an
additional thermostat and can consist of one or more
cycles.

Precautions and tips
This appliance has been designed and
manufactured in compliance with international safety
standards. The following warnings are provided for
safety reasons and must be read carefully.
General safety
The appliance was designed for domestic use
inside the home and is not intended for
commercial or industrial use.
The appliance must not be installed outdoors,
even in covered areas. It is extremely dangerous
to leave the appliance exposed to rain and
storms.
Do not touch the appliance when barefoot or with
wet or damp hands and feet.
The appliance must be used by adults only for the
preparation of food, in accordance with the
instructions provided in this booklet. Do not use
the hob as a worktop or chopping board.
The glass ceramic hob is resistant to mechanical
shocks, but it may crack (or even break) if hit with
a sharp object such as a tool. If this happens,
disconnect the appliance from the electricity
mains immediately and contact a Service Centre.
If the surface of the hob is cracked, switch off the
appliance to prevent electric shocks from
occurring.
Ensure that power supply cables of other
electrical appliances do not come into contact
with the hot parts of the hob.
Remember that the cooking zones remain
relatively hot for at least thirty minutes after they
have been switched off. An indicator light
provides a warning when residual heat is present
(see Start-up and use).
Keep any object which could melt away from the
hob, for example plastic and aluminium objects,
or products with a high sugar content. Be
especially careful when using plastic film and
aluminium foil or packaging: if placed on surfaces
which are still hot, they may cause serious
damage to the hob.
Always make sure that pan handles are turned
towards the centre of the hob in order to avoid
accidental burns.
When unplugging the appliance, always pull the
plug from the mains socket; do not pull on the
cable.
Never perform any cleaning or maintenance work
without having disconnected the appliance from
the electricity mains.
The appliance should not be operated by people
(including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capacities, by inexperienced
individuals or by anyone who is not familiar with
the product. These individuals should, at the very
least, be supervised by someone who assumes
responsibility for their safety or receive
preliminary instructions relating to the operation of
the appliance.
For the attention of wearers of pacemakers
or other active implants:
The hob complies with all current standards on
electromagnetic interference.
Your induction hob is therefore perfectly in
keeping with legal requirements (89/336/CEE
directives). It is designed not to create
interference on any other electrical apparatus
being used on condition that the apparatus in
question also complies with this legislation. Your
induction hob generates short-range magnetic
fields. To avoid any interference between your
induction hob and a pacemaker, the latter must
be designed to comply with relevant regulations.
In this respect, we can only guarantee our own
product conformity. Please consult the pacemaker
manufacturer or your doctor concerning its
conformity or any possible incompatibility.
Do not let children play with the appliance.
Do not place metal objects (knives, spoons, pan
lids, etc.) on the hob as they may become hot.

Care and maintenance
Switching the appliance off
Disconnect your appliance from the electricity supply
before carrying out any work on it.
Cleaning the appliance
Do not use abrasive or corrosive detergents (for
example, products in spray cans for cleaning
barbecues and ovens), stain removers, anti-rust
products, powder detergents or sponges with
abrasive surfaces: these may scratch the surface
beyond repair.
Never use steam cleaners or pressure cleaners on
the appliance.
Inside the oven door:
When cleaning the appliance, do not use rough or
abrasive material or sharp metal scrapers to clean the
glass doors of the oven, as these may scratch the
surface and cause the glass to break.
Inside the oven *
 The inside of your oven is coated with a special self-
cleaning microporous enamel glaze which, at a
normal cooking temperature of between 200 and
300°C, oxidises and completely eliminates all
grease spots or other substances that inevitably
attack the inner walls of the oven. This way,
cleaning is kept right down to a minimum: as a
matter of fact, you just need to rub the surfaces of
the oven with a wet cloth regularly, after cooking, to
remove the thin layer of ash that may have been
deposited during cooking, in order to maintain the
self-cleaning property of the oven intact.
 After cooking where liquid has overflowed or when
the dirt has not been eliminated completely (for
example when grilling food, and the temperatures
reached are not high enough for the full self-
cleaning action of the enamel to be performed), we
recommend you leave the oven on at maximum
temperature so that all grease residue and the like
are eliminated.
If, after long-term use, you find evident grease
stains deposited on the self-cleaning oven walls,
probably due to your failing to follow the above
maintenance advice, clean the surfaces thoroughly
with hot water and a soft cloth (do not use any
detergents), then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Do not remove any dry caked-on grease using
sharp objects, as these could etch the self-cleaning
coating.
If the self-cleaning surfaces inside the oven are
damaged or worn, due to incorrect or poor
maintenance or after many years of use, you can
request a kit of self-cleaning panels to line the
inside of the oven. To order these, just contact an
authorised Service Centre.
Oven exterior:
Only clean the appliance when the oven is cold.
The steel parts and especially the areas with the
screen-printed symbols should not be cleaned with
solvents or abrasive detergents. It is advisable to
use only a damp cloth with lukewarm water and
washing up liquid.
Stainless steel may remain stained if in long-term
contact with very calcareous water or aggressive
detergents (containing phosphorus).
It is therefore always necessary to rinse and dry all
surfaces thoroughly after cleaning.
Important: cleaning operations must be made
h
orizontally, in the direction of the steel glazing.
After cleaning, any treatments to polish the surfaces
may be performed: only use specific products for
stainless steel.
Important: do not use abrasive powders, aggressive
detergents or acidic substances for cleaning.

edge of the slot (move the oven door backwards
and forward slightly);
Keep the oven door open fully, unhook the 2 levers
B downwards and then shut the door again.
Greasing the taps
As time passes, a tap may lock or become difficult
to turn. In this case it will be necessary to clean
inside and replace the grease.
This procedure must be performed by a technician
authorized by the manufacturer.
Changing the oven lightbulb
Make sure that the appliance is disconnected from the
electricity supply.
Unscrew the glass protective cover from inside the
oven, unscrew the lightbulb and replace it with an
identical one suitable for high temperatures (300°C)
