demonstrate possible uses for each power level and
provide some examples to give you an appreciation of
the performance level for each power level setting. The

8 care and cleaning electrolux keyhole cooktop
warning
Ensure the appliance is off and cool before cleaning.
caution
Harsh abrasive cleaners, powder cleaners, steel wool
or wax polishes should not be used.
Regular cleaning immediately after use is the easiest and
simplest method for keeping your appliance looking like
new. If soiling, oil and food spatter is allowed to remain on
the surfaces for long periods and allowed to bake onto
the surfaces, they will be more difcult to remove but then
when trying to remove them it is more likely damage to the
surface nish may result.
Stainless steel
Simply wipe with a soft cloth using warm water and a mild
detergent and rinse with clean water. Where stainless steel
has a heat tint or become extremely dirty or discoloured,
use a stainless steel cleaner.
Ceramic glass
The specially treated glass in the product is manufactured
using the latest technology to the highest possible
standards for both safety and reliability. However, it must be
remembered that as it is CERAMIC GLASS, it may break.
Treat it accordingly. To clean the ceramic glass hob use a
soft cloth or sponge with detergent and warm water.
warning
If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance
immediately to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
If the ceramic surface is very soiled:
1. Remove soilage using a damp cloth or a plastic scraper.
2. Use a suitable stainless steel cleaner or ceramic cleaner
after sufcient time has passed for the top surfaces
to cool. Apply small quantities of cleaner onto the top
surface and wipe with a damp cloth or paper towel.
3. Use a damp cloth to remove all remaining traces of the
cleaner, which could otherwise burn on when the hob is
next used. Wipe the hob dry.
Ensure the appliance is off before using any metal
implements for cleaning the induction unit.
Care and cleaning of your cooktop
Trivets and burners
These can all be lifted off and removed for
separate cleaning.
NOTE! When retting the burner, ensure that they are
correctly seated.
Ensure burner is thoroughly dried after cleaning or spillage.
When cleaning the burner, ensure that all the ame ports
are free of any blockage. If necessary, use a toothpick or
brush to clear ports. In instances of heavy soiling, it may be
necessary to apply a non-abrasive cleaning compound and
rub with a cloth until the soiling is removed and then nish
with a soft, dry cloth.
Ignition spark plug and ame safeguard sensor
GENTLY clean the ignition spark plug and ame safeguard
sensor with a damp cloth to avoid lighting difculties. Ensure
the spark plug is always clean and dry before use.
