raised edge is facing upwards.
Other accessories, such as the drip tray and the
baking tray, are inserted horizontally in the same way
as the wire shelf.
FIRST TIME USE
HEAT THE OVEN
A new oven may release odours that have been left
behind during manufacturing: this is completely
normal. Before starting to cook food, we therefore
recommend heating the oven with it empty in order
to remove any possible odours.
Remove any protective cardboard or transparent
film from the oven and remove any accessories from
inside it.
Heat the oven to 250 °C for about one hour. The
oven must be empty during this time. Follow the
instructions for setting the function correctly.
Please note: It is advisable to air the room after using the
appliance for the rst time.
10
DAILY USE
1. SELECT A FUNCTION
To select a function, turn the selection knob to the
symbol for the function you require.
CONVECTION MODE
For cooking any kind of dish on one shelf only.
OVEN LIGHT
To turn the oven light on without activating any of
the heating elements, the selection knob must be
turned to the the symbol
and the thermostat knob
must be set to
.
LOWER HEATING ELEMENT
Use this function after cooking to brown the bottom
of the dish. The function can also be used for slow
cooking, such as vegetables and meat stews.
Note that when using this position, the thermostat is
automatically set at the maximum temperature which cannot
be regulated.
UPPER HEATING ELEMENT
This position is recommended for finishing off the
cooking of food (in baking trays) which is already
inside well-cooked but still soft superficially.
GRILL
The high, direct grill temperature immediately
browns meat, thus stopping juice dispersion and
keeping meat more tender. The grill is particularly
recommended for cooking dishes requiring a high
superficial temperature like beef and veal steaks,
entrecote, fillet steaks, hamburgers.
Place the rack in position 3 or 4. Position the food in
the centre of the rack. We recommend that the power
level is set to maximum. The top heating element
is regulated by a thermostat and may not always
operate constantly.
VENTILATED GRILL
During grilling, keep the oven door closed. Both
of the central heating element of the grill are
activated, as well as the fan. This helps prevents foods
from burning on the surface, allowing the heat to
penetrate into the food.
GENTLE PASTRY OVEN
This setting is ideal when cooking delicate foods,
especially pastries that need to raise, because the
heat rising from the bottom facilitates leavening.
Please note that with this feature it takes a rather long time to
reach higher temperatures in the oven.
VENTILATION MODE
For cooking a variety of food requiring the same
temperature on two shelves at the same time
(e.g. fish, vegetables, cakes). This function can be
used to cook different foods without odours being
transferred from one food to another.
2. ACTIVATE A FUNCTION
To start the function you have selected, turn the
thermostat knob to set the temperature you require.
To interrupt the function at any time, switch off the
oven, turn the selection knob and the thermostat knob
to
and .
Once the function has been activated, the LED
thermostat lights up, switching off again when the
oven reaches the selected temperature: At this point,
place the food inside and proceed with cooking.
Please note: placing the food in the oven before preheating
has nished may have an adverse eect on the nal cooking
result.
3. USE THE TIMER
This option does not interrupt or activate cooking but
allows you to use the display as a timer, both while a
function is active and when the oven is off.
To activate the timer, turn the timer knob right round
in an clockwise direction and then turn it back in the
opposite direction to the desired length of time: an
acoustic signal will warn you when the count-down is
finished.
4. USE THE TURNSPIT
This accessory should only be used when cooking
with the grill. Proceed as follows: thread the meat you
wish to cook onto the rod positioned across the oven
lengthwise, fixing it in place with the adjustable forks
supplied.
Position supports A and “B” in the relevant holes in
dripping pan “E”, rest the groove on the rod in slot “C”
and use the guide rail to place the rack in the lowest
position in the oven; next position the rod in the
rotisserie spit hole, sliding the groove forwards to slot
“D” (see figures).
