APPLIANCE DESCRIPTION

This appliance is a refrigerator with a star
compartment or a star refrigerator.
The appliance operates at its optimum
performance if the ambient temperature is
between +16°C and +32°C.
Initial operation of the refrigerator
Insert the plug into the mains socket.
The thermostat dial allows you to adjust the
temperature of the refrigerator compartment, keeping
the conditions within the compartment at a low
temperature.
Setting the temperature
If you wish to change the temperature in the compartment, turn the thermostat dial:
• tothelowernumbers1-2/MIN if you want the temperature of the compartment to be WARMER;
• tonumbers3-4/MED for a MEDIUM temperature;
• tothehighernumbers5-7/MAX if you want the temperature to be COLDER.

Notice:
The ambient temperature, frequency of door opening and the location of the appliance can affect
the temperature inside the two compartments.
Setting the thermostat should vary according to these factors.

How to store food in the refrigerator compartment
Store the food as shown in the figure:

• Thefoodsmustbecoveredtopreventdryingout.
• Hotfoodsshouldbecooledbeforebeingplacedintherefrigerator.
• Ensurethefreecirculationofairbetweenthefoodbeingstored.
Defrosting the refrigerator compartment is fully automatic.

HOW TO OPERATE THE FREEZER
COMPARTMENT
Only for or appliances.
If the freezer compartment is , it is possible to store frozen foods.
If the freezer compartment is , it is possible to store food for months and also freeze food.
Information on the quantities in kilograms of fresh food that can be frozen in 24 hours is displayed
on the serial plate.
Freezing food
• Removethegrill(ifpossible)fromthecompartment.
• Placethefoodtobefrozeninthemiddleofthe freezer compartment.
Attention
•
Frozen food must not come into contact with food to be frozen (distance of approx. 20 mm).
Important
Wrap and seal the food in:
• Aluminiumfoil,clingfilm,watertightplasticbags,polythenecontainerswithlidsorfreezer
containers.
When buying frozen food, make sure that:
• Thepackagingisintact,asthefoodmayspoil.Ifapacketisswollenorhasdamppatches,
it was not stored under optimal conditions and may have had started to thaw.
• Coolbagsareusedwhentransportingthefood.
• Frozenfoodispurchasedlast.
• Whenathome,thefrozenfoodisimmediatelyplacedinthefreezer.
• Donotrefreezepartiallythawedfood,consumeitwithin24hours.
• Avoidorminimisetemperaturevariations.Observetheexpirydateprintedonthepackage.
• Alwaysfollowtheinstructionsonthepackagingforfrozenfoodstorage.
Making ice cubes
• Filltheicetrays3/4fullofwaterandplacetheminthebottomofthefreezercompartment.
Do not use sharp or pointed objects to separate the ice cube trays.

Before starting any maintenance or cleaning of the unit, remove the plug from the socket.
Defrost the freezer compartment when the formation of ice on the sides reaches a
thickness of 3 mm.

(or a blanket) and placed in close contact in a
cold place.
• Cleanthefreezercompartmentwithadampsponge

Regularly clean the inside of the hole to ensure the constant and correct flow of the
defrost water.
After cleaning, reconnect the appliance to the mains.
Do not use abrasive products.
For prolonged absences
• Emptythecompartments.
• Disconnecttheappliancefromthemains.
• Defrostandcleantheinside.
• Leavethedooropentopreventtheformationofunpleasantodours.

4. There is water at the bottom of the refrigerator compartment.
• Isthedefrostwaterdrainblocked?
5. The inside light does not work.
First check point 1 then:
• Disconnecttheappliancefromthemains.
• Replacethebulbwithoneofthesame
strength or of the maximum wattage as
indicated on the side of the socket.
• Toremovethelightbulb:unscrew
anticlockwise as shown in the figure.
6. It forms an excessive amount of frost/ice in the low temperature compartment.
• Isthedoorofthelowtemperaturecompartmentclosedproperly?
Remarks:
• Anynoisevariations(gurgling,bubblingetc.)arenormalandareduetothenormaloperating
cycle of the refrigerator.

Install the freezer away from heat sources.
Installation in a hot environment, direct
exposure to the sun or installation near a
source of heat (radiators, cookers) will increase
power consumption and should be avoided.
If this is not possible, you must adhere to the
following minimum distances:
30cmfromcoaloroilstoves;
3cmfromelectriccookers.
• Placeitinadryandwell-ventilatedplace.

• Inserttheaccessories.
• Checkthetightnessofthedoorseal,
particularly after installation and after any
modification to the opening side of the door.
Electrical connection
• Checkthatthevoltageindicatedonthe
identification plate corresponds to the mains
power.
• Regulationsrequirethattheappliancebe
earthed. The manufacturer declines all
responsibility for any damage to persons
or property resulting from failure to observe
this rule.
• Iftheplugandsocketarenotofthesame
type, have the socket replaced by a
qualified technician.
• Donotusemultipleplugadaptersor
extension cords.
