1-1-1 Download the BIOS le from the Website

1. DownloadtheBIOSlefromGigabytewebsite:www.gigabyte.com.

2. Searchyourmodel.

3. Gototheproductpage.

4. Select Support.

5. Select BIOS. Click Download to save the packagele.

6. Choosethefolderlocation.(Savetheletoaknownlocationontheclientsystem)

and Click Save.

7. Go to the location on the client system and extractthepackagele.

Followtheinstructiontoenabletheconsoleredirectionfunction.

1. YoucangathertheIPaddressonthePOSTscreen.

2. Or,GotoBIOSsetupmenu.

3. Select Server Management.

4. Select BMC network Conguration.

5. DeneCongurationAddresssourcetoDynamicBmcDhcporStatic.

6. Save and Exit.

7. The BMC IP Address will appear on the Station IP address parameter.

ToaccesstheGigabyteManagementConsole,theBMCWebutilitywillpromptyoutoenterthe

UserNameandPassword.

Theeldsareexplainedasfollows:

ForbasiclogintotheBMCWebUI,usethefollowinglogin:

• Username:admin

• Password:RefertouniqueMBserialnumber.

AfterenteringGigabyteManagementConsolefollowtheinstructionstoupdateBIOS.

1. Go to Power Control,PowerOfftheclient,Perform Action

2. Go to Maintenance page and select Firmware Update.

3. ClickBrowseiconandselecttheBIOSimagele.ClickStart rmware updates.

4. SelectBIOS1orBIOS2intheselectBIOSeld.ClickProcess to Flash.

5. AfterclickingProceed to Flash,a doubleconrmation dialogboxappears.ClickOKto

processBIOSash.

6. Waitfortheupdatingproceduresiscompleted.

2. GettheIPaddressonthePOSTscreen.Orgoto1-1-1GigabyteManagement

ConsoleNetworkCongurationforDynamicIPconguration.

1. DownloadGSMCLIutilitypackage(.zip)fromwww.gigabyte.com.

2. Searchyourmodel.

3. Gototheproductpage.

4. Select Support.

5. Select Utility.

8. ExtracttheGSMCLIpackageleinC:\BIOS.

9. SavetheBIOSpackagefileinthefollowingpath:C:\BIOS\server_utility_

cli_2.1.xx\2.1.59ofclientsystem.

1-2-1 Update BIOS1

Execute GSM CLI utility with update command to update BIOS1:

1. Powerofftheclientsystem,usagecommand:

java-jarGbtUtility-${project.version}.jar-H<BMCIP>-U<Account>-P<Password>chassisoff

2. Afterenteringthepoweroffcommand,pressthekeyboard"enter"toshutdown

3. UpdateBIOS1usagecommand:

3. Settargetsystemtopoweroff,usagecommand:

4. UpdateBIOS1andBIOS2(Backupimage)usagecommand:

java-jarGbtUtility-${project.version}.jar-H<BMCIP>-U<Account>-P<Password>updatebios

NOTE!

• Ifupdatebackupimagefailsordamaged,itmaycausesystemcrash.Pleaseprocess

carefully.

6. PressYtocontinue.
