service engineers who need to find the product serial number for
Quantum products.
Purpose This document describes how you can find the serial number for
particular Quantum products. For your convenience, all products are
presented alphabetically. It is useful for customers and service engineers
who need to find the product serial number to open a Service Request or
begin to diagnose a problem.

1Quantum Products
This chapter describes how to find the product serial numbers for
Quantum products. The products are listed alphabetically:
7100, ACL 2640, and 4/52 Libraries
This topic describes how to find the product serial number of a 7100, ACL
2640, and 4/52 library.
You can access the serial number through the Main Menu. The
information is displayed next to the date on the Information Line.
1Highlight Status and click Enter.
2Click Display Serial# and click Enter.
Note: Where multiple letters or numbers appear in a product title
followed by a slash (as in 4/52 or AML 2/E/J), it indicates
multiple products within the same family. For example, the
AML 2 library and the AML E library belong to the same
product family and follow the same conventions.

A pop-up window displays with the product serial number.

the media kit box. In addition, the administrator initially responsible for
the software may have received the serial number through mail when he
or she requested license information in the format S/N AM000123 (for
example, AM023194).

This topic describes where to find serial numbers for Quantum AML
library products
You can find the serial number by opening the front door of the
Controller. The S/N sticker appears on the upper left side of the inside
front door of the Controller.
The S/N sticker will say GRAU and contain serial numbers like the
following examples.

432/864 autoloader.
Use this procedure to access the LCD.
1Make sure there is no magazine installed in the autoloader.
2Press and hold the Select button for five seconds.
3Use the Select button to access the VERSION MENU.
4Use the Select button to access the autoloader serial number.

The Data Manager product serial number is in the format S/N DM00123
(for example, DM01630).

This topic describes how to find the product serial number of a DPM5500.
Physical Location 1
You can find the serial number on the right side of the system at the rear.
Remote Identification 1
Use the following method to find the serial number for the DPM5500.
1On the host computer, open the Internet browser software.
2In the Address field, type https://IPaddress/ where IPaddress is the IP
address for the DX-Series system.
Note: This IP address uses https, not the common http and there is
also a special port (8098) that must be used. This address must
be used every time the web pages are accessed.

3Enter the Surname and password.
The default user name is administrator and the default password is
Quantum-DPM. The password is case-sensitive.

DX100.

You can find the serial number on the front left side of the library (for
example, IX0501AKG00005).

You can access the product serial number for a DX30 and a DX100
through the DX-Series Web pages. This procedure describes how you can
find this information.
1On the host computer, open the Internet browser software.

address for the DX-Series system.

3Click either Monitor or Administrator and specify the password
(password by default).
