GENERAL INFORMATION

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Super Sarge! e Super Sarge uses four EL84 power
tubes to double the power of Analog Outtters’ agship product, the Sarge. is model resulted from
a collaborative eort between Analog Outtters and Nels Cline of Wilco.
Looking for an amplier with the tone of the Sarge but with additional clean headroom for live
applications, Nels helped shape the nal version into an amp that is equally at home in the studio or
on stage.

User’s Guide
1. INPUT: ¼” instrument level input jack.
2. BASS: is knob controls the overall low frequency response.
3. TREBLE: is knob controls the overall high frequency response.
4. VOLUME: is knob controls the overall volume of the amplier.
5. POWER INDICATOR: is will light up when power is switched on.
6. STANDBY SWITCH: Switch to the right to turn on and play. Place in o position for extended
break periods.
7. POWER SWITCH: Switch to the right to turn on the amplier. Switch to the le to turn o the
amplier.

1. 2A FUSE: e 2A SLO-BLO fuse protects the amp from electrical faults.
2. AC INPUT: e power supply of the Super Sarge will work with 120 volts.
3. 8 OHM SPEAKER JACK: Plug an 8 ohm speaker cabinet into this jack. Always make sure your
speaker impedance matches the 8 ohm output impedance of the amplier or it can cause damage
to the output transformer. Always have a speaker plugged into your amp when it is powered on.

Repairs
We thoroughly test each Super Sarge before it leaves our shop in order to make sure you are
getting nothing less than optimal performance and tone. We stand behind our products with a
3-year limited warranty on parts and labor.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE
TUBE CARE
While tubes vary in their lifespan, ipping on the power switch and waiting 10 seconds before
turning on the standby switch every time you play will allow the tubes to warm up and
significantly increase the tube life.
CAUTION: Before touching or replacing the tubes, make sure your amp is UNPLUGGED AND
COOLED DOWN.
If tensioning or cleaning of the tube sockets is needed, refer to a qualied amp technician.
is amp is built to last a lifetime, but it never hurts to get it cleaned and serviced every 5 - 10
years to keep it singing! Reach out to us to have the builder who made your amp do a complete
physical. For day-to-day cleaning use a dry cloth to wipe your amp clean.
You can replace your amplier tubes with any brand, but we recommend using the following:
