carefully. They contain important information for safe

use, for installation and for care of the appliance.

Please keep these operating instructions for future

reference. Pass them on to possible new owners of

the appliance.

Notes which are important for your safety or

for the proper functioning of the appliance are

stressed with a warning triangle and/or with

signal words (Warning!, Caution!, Attention!).

Please observe the following carefully.

Supplementary information regarding opera-

tion and practical applications of the appliance

appear after this symbol.

Tips and notes concerning economical and

Geachte klant,

Lees eerst aandachtig de gebruiksaanwijzing door

voordat u uw nieuwe koelapparaat in gebruik neemt.

Hierin staat belangrijke informatie over een veilig

gebruik, over het opstellen en over het onderhoud

van het apparaat.

De gebruiksaanwijzing s.v.p. bewaren voor latere

naslag. Aan eventuele volgende bezitters van het

apparaat doorgeven.

Met de waarschuwingsdriehoek en/of door

signaalwoorden (Waarschuwing!, Voorzichtig!,

Let op!) wordt de aandacht gevestigd op aanwij-

zingen die belangrijk zijn voor uw veiligheid of

voor het juist functioneren van het apparaat. Hier

absoluut op letten.

Gedrukt op milieuvriendelijk vervaardigd papier

wie ecologisch denkt, handelt ook zo ...

Na dit symbool wordt uitleg gegeven over de

bediening en het prak-tisch gebruik van het

apparaat.

Met het klaverblad worden tips en aanwijzin-

gen voor een econo-mischen milieuvriendelijk

gebruik van het apparaat aangegeven.

Voor eventueel optredende storingen staan in de

handleiding aanwijzingen om deze zelf op te lossen,

zie Hoofdstuk "Wat te doen als...". Als deze aanwij-

zingen niet voldoende informatie bieden staat onze

klantendienst u te allen tijde ter beschikking.

The safety aspects of our refrigerators/freezers com-

ply with accepted technical standards and the Ger-

man Appliance Safety Law. Nevertheless, we consi-

der it our obligation to make you aware of the follo-

wing safety information:

Intended use

• The refrigerator is intended for use in the home.

It is suitable for the cooling, freezing and storing

of frozen food, as well as for making ice. If the

appliance is used for purposes other than those

intended or used incorrectly, no liability can be

accepted by the manufacturer for any damage

that may be caused.

• Alterations or changes to the freezer are not per-

mitted for reasons of safety.

• If you use the refrigerator in a commercial appli-

cation or forpurposes other than the cooling, free-

zing or frozen storage of foods,please observe all

valid legal regulations for your application.

Prior to initial start–up

• Check the refrigerator for transport damage.

Under no circumstance should a damaged appli-

ance be plugged in! In the event of damage,

please contact the vendor.

Refrigerant

The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is contained within

the refrigerant circuit of the appliance, a natural gas

with a high level of environmental compatibility, which

is nevertheless flammable.

• During transportation and installation of the

appliance, be certain that none of the compo-

nents of the refrigerant circuit become damaged.

• If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged:

– avoid open flames and sources of ignition;

– thoroughly ventilate the room in which the

appliance is situated.

Safety of children

• Packaging (e.g. wraps, polystyrene) can be dan-

gerous for children. There is a risk of suffocation!

Keep packaging material away from children!

• Please make old appliances unusable prior to

disposal. Pull out the mains plug, cut off the

mains cable, break or remove spring or boltcat-

ches, if fitted. By doing this you ensure that chil-

dren cannot lock themselves in the fridge when

playing (there is risk of suffocation!)or get them-

selves into other dangerous situations.

Safety

• Often children cannot recognise the hazards pre-

sent in household appliances. It is therefore

important that you ensure adequate supervision

and never let children play with the appliance!

Daily Operation

• Containers with flammable gases or liquids can

leak at low temperatures. There is a risk of an

explosion! Do not store any containers with flam-

mable materials such as, for example, spray

cans, fire extinguisher refill cartridges etc in the

refrigerator/freezer.

• Bottles and cans must not be placed in the free-

zer compartment. They can burst when the con-

tents freeze, high carbonate content drinks can

even explode! Never store lemonade, juices,

beer, wine, sparkling wine etc. in the freezer

compartment. Exception: high alcohol content

spirits can be stored in the freezer compartment.

• Do not put ice creams or ice cubes in the mouth

immediately after removal from the freezer com-

partment. Very cold ice can freeze to the lips or

tongue and cause injury.

• Do not touch frozen food with wet hands. Your

hands could freeze to the food.

• Do not operate any electrical appliances in the

refrigerator/freezer (e.g. electric ice cream

makers, mixers etc.).

• Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off

the appliance and unplug it, or pull the house

fuse or switch off the circuit breaker.

• When unplugging always pull the plug from the

mains socket, do not pull on the cable.

In case of malfunction

• If the a malfunction occurs on the appliance,

please look first in the "What to do if ..." section

of these instructions. If the information given the-

re does not help, please do not perform any

further repairs yourself.

• Refrigerators/freezers may only be repaired by

qualified service engineers. Improper repairs can

give rise to significant hazards. If your appliance

needs repairing, please contact your specialist

dealer or our Customer Service.

L’appareil frigorifique est destiné à un usage dome-

stique et a été fabriqué en respect des normes s’ap-

pliquant à ce type d’appareils. La fabrication tient en

particulier compte des mesures prévues par la loi

allemande sur la sécurité des appareils (GSG), le

règlement préventif contre les accidents pour les

installations frigorifiques (VBG 20) et les dispositions

Disposal

Appliance Packaging Information

All materials are environmentally sound! They can be

dumped or burned at an incinerating plant without

danger!

About the materials: The plastics can be recycled and

are identified as follows:

>PE< for polyethylene, e.g. the outer covering and

the bags in the interior.

>PS< for polystyrene foam, e.g. the pads, which are

all free of chlorofluorocarbon.

The carton parts are made from recycled paper and

should be disposed of at a waste-paper recycling

collection location.

Disposal of old Appliances

For environmental reasons, refrigeration appliances

must be disposed of properly. This applies to your old

appliance, and - at the end of its service life - for your

new appliance as well.

Warning! Before disposing of old appliances

make them inoperable. Remove plug from mains,

sever the power cable, remove or destroy any snap or

latch closures. This eliminates the danger that playing

children lock themselves into the appliance (danger

of suffocation!) or place themselves into other life-

endangering situations.

Disposal:

• The appliance may not be disposed of with

domestic waste or bulky refuse.

• The refrigerant circuit, especially the heat

exchanger at the back of the appliance, may not

be damaged.

• Information concerning collection schedules or

locations can be obtained from the local disposal

authorities or town hall.

The appliance and the interior fittings are protected

for transport.

• Pull off the adhesive tape on the left and right

side of the door.

Remove transport safeguard

• Remove all adhesive tape and packing

pieces from the interior of the appliance.

Installation

Installation Location

The appliance should be set up in a well ventilated,

dry room.

Energy use is affected by the ambient temperature.

The appliance should therefore

– not be exposed to direct sunlight;

– not be installed next to radiators, cookers or

other sources of heat;

– only be installed at a location whose ambient

temperature corresponds to the climate classifi-

cation, for which the appliance is designed.

The climate classification can be found on the serial

plate, which is located at the left on the inside of the

appliance.

The following table shows which ambient temperatu-

re is correct for each climate classification: each cli-

mate classification:

Climate classification for an ambient temperature of

SN +10 bis +32 °C

N +16 bis +32 °C

ST +18 bis +38 °C

T +18 bis +43 °C

If installation next to a source of heat is unavoidable,

the following minimum clearances must be maintai-

ned at the sides of the appliance:

– for electric cookers 3 cm;

– for oil and coal fired ranges 30 cm.

If these clearances cannot be maintained a heat insu-

lating pad is required between the cooker and the ref-

rigeration appliance.

If the refrigeration appliance is installed next to ano-

ther refrigerator or freezer a clearance of 5 cm at the

sides is required, in order to prevent the formation of

condensation on the outside of the appliance.

Remèdes en cas de dérangements

Le dérangement n’est peut-être qu’un petit

défaut auquel vous pouvez remédier vous-

même à l’aide des indications suivantes. N’ef-

fectuez pas de travaux vous-même si les infor-

mations suivantes ne vous aident pas de

manière concrète.

L’appareil ne fonctionne pas, aucun voyant

de contrôle ne s’allume.

L’appareil n’est pas mis en service. Mettre l’appareil en service.

La fiche n’est pas branchée ou ne donne

pas de contact.

Brancher la fiche secteur.

Le fusible a déclenché ou est défectueux. Vérifier le fusible, remplacer le cas échéant.

La prise de courant est défectueuse.

Les dérangements du réseau électrique doi-

vent être supprimés par votre électricien.

L’appareil refroidit trop fortement. La température est réglée trop bas.

Mettre temporairement le régulateur de

température sur une température plus

élevée.

Contacter le service après-vente.Le voyant vert est défectueux.

Le voyant vert ne s’allume pas, le voyant

jaune est allumé lorsque la fonction congé-

lation rapide est activée.

Contacter le service après-vente.Le voyant jaune est défectueux.

Le voyant jaune ne s’allume pas, le voyant

jaune est allumé lorsque la fonction congéla-

tion rapide est activée. L’appareil fonctionne.

Le compresseur se met en marche de lui

même au bout d’un certain temps.

Ceci est normal, il ne s’agit pas d’un déran-

gement.

Après modification du réglage de tempéra-

ture, le compresseur ne démarre pas immé-

diatement.

Bruits anormaux.

L’appareil est en contact avec la paroi ou

d’autres objets.

L’appareil n’est pas d’aplomb.

Une partie de l’appareil, p. ex. un tuyau, est

en contact avec une autre partie de l’appa-

reil ou la paroi à l’arrière de l’appareil

Le cas échéant, plier cette partie avec pré-

caution pour l’éloigner.

Déplacer légèrement l’appareil.

Ajuster les pieds réglables.

Formation importante de givre dans l’appa-

reil, éventuellement aussi au joint de porte.

Le joint de porte n’est pas étanche (après

changement du sens d’ouverture de la por-

te).

A l’aide d’un sèche-cheveux, réchauffer

avec pré-caution le joint de porte aux

endroits des fuites (pas plus chaud qu’env.

50 °C). Remettre en même temps le joint de

porte en forme à la main de manière à ce

qu’il soit de nouveau en position correcte.

La température de surgélation ne suffit pas,

le voyant rouge est allumé, l’avertisseur de

température retentit.

L’appareil se trouve à côté d’une source de

chaleur.

Veuillez consulter la section "Lieu d’installa-

tion"

Défaillance de l’appareil.

Activer le commutateur de congélation rapi-

de, laisser le congélateur fermé, contacter le

service après-vente.

La température de surgélation ne suffit pas,

le voyant rouge est allumé, l’avertisseur de

température retentit.

La température est mal réglée. Veuillez consulter la section "Mise en service".

La porte est restée ouverte trop longtemps.

Ne pas ouvrir la porte plus longtemps que

nécessaire. Actionner le commutateur de

congélation rapide.

De trop grandes quantités d’aliments ont été

entreposées au cours des dernières 24 heu-

res.

Avertissement! Les réparations à l’appareil

de congélation peuvent uniquement être effec-

tuées par des spécialistes. Des réparations

incor-rectes peuvent être source de dangers

graves pour l’utilisateur. En cas de réparation,

adressez-vous à votre distributeur ou à notre ser-

vice après-vente.

Remarque: vérifiez régulièrement sur le voyant rouge de contrôle de la température si la température de con-

servation est bien observée.

The optimum storage conditons occur at -18°C and

can be checked at the thermometer (fig.).

The yellow pilot light (B) comes on when the switch

(A) has been operated. The refrigerating unit then

operates continuously.

The green pilot lamp (D), which comes on when the

mains voltage is available and the ON/OFF knob is

pushed. Switch the temperature regulatore to a num-

ber position, the refrigerating unit automatically ope-

rates by system control.

for continuously variable setting of the most energy

Electrical Connection

Any electrical work required to install this appliance

should be carried out by a qualified electrician

or competent person.

WARNING – THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTH-

The manufacturer declines any liability should these

safety measures not be observed.

Before switching on, make sure the electricity supply

voltage is the same as that indicated on the applian-

ce rating plate. The rating plate is inside, on the left.

The appliance is supplied with a 13 amp plug fitted. In

the event of having to change the fuse in the plug

supplied, a 13 amp ASTA approved (BS 1362) fuse

must be used.

Important!

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accor-

dance with the following code:

Blue Neutral

Brown Live

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this

appliance may not correspond with the coloured mar-

kings indentifying the terminals in your plug, proceed

as follows:

1. The wire coloured green and yellow must be

connected to the terminal marked with the letter

„E“ or by the earth symbol or coloured green and

yellow.

2. The wire coloured blue must be connected to the

terminal „N“ or coloured black.

3. The wire coloured brown must be connected to

the terminal marked „L“ or coloured red.

4. Upon completion there must be not cut, or stray

strands of wire present and the cord clamp must

be secure over the outer sheat.

Warning!Acut-off plug inserted into a 13 amp

socket is a serious safety (shock) hazard. Ensure

that the cut-off plug is disposed of safely.

• Enfochez la fiche dans le prise de courant.

Appuyez sur le interrupteur marche/arrêt. Le voy-

ant vert de fonctionnement s’allume.

• Tournez le thermostat (F) depois la position “0”;

le voyant rouge (C) s’éclairent; et l’alarme sonore

s’entend. L’appreil se met en marche.

• Actionnez en plus le commutateur de congéla-

tion rapide (A), le voyant jaune (B) s’éclaire;

• Attendez que le voyant rouge (C) soit éteint

pour ramener le commutateur de congélation

rapide (A) à sa position initiale; le voyant jaune

(B) s’éteint.

Position «0» signifie: arrêt.

Tournez le thermostat dans le sens de horaire

signifie: température la plus élevée, réglage le plus

chaud.

Tournez le thermostat jusqu’à la fin (butée) signi-

fie: température la plus basse, réglage le plus froid.

L’exacte position doit être réprée en considérant que

la température interne dépend des facteurs suivants:

– quantité et température d’aliments conservés ;

Alarme sonore en cas de remontée

de température

Votre congélateur est doté d’un alarme sonore, qui

vous indique une température de stockage trop

élevée, retenit au même moment que le voyant de

contrôle de la température rouge (C) s’éclaire.

L’alarme acoustique continue de fonctionner jusqu’à

le commutateur de congélation rapide soit débran-

ché.

Alarme sonore pour l’ouverture de

la porte

Un signal d’alarme s’entend quand la porte reste

ouverte pendant plus de 60 seconds. Pour arréter le

signal il faut fermer la porte.

Mise en service et réglage de la tempéra-

ture

– fréquence d’ouverture des portes;

Remarque: vérifiez régulièremet la respect de la

température de stoc kage sur le voyant rouge de con-

trôle de la température (C) et sur le thermomètre.

Accus à froid

Dans un des tiroirs de surgélateur se trouve les accus

à froid.

En cas de panne de courant ou de défaut

de l’appareil, l’accu à froid prolonge de plusieurs

heures le délai avant échauffement excessif des

aliments congelés.

Cet accu à froid devra être placé en haut sur les ali-

ments situés dans le tiroir supérieur.

Vous pouvez également employer l’accus à froid de

manière temporaire pour un sac isotherme.

Audible temperature alarm

Your freezer is equipped with an audible temperature

alarm, an acoustic warning sound simultaneously

with illumination of the red temperature pilot lamp,

alerting you to the fact that the storage temperature in

your freezer is too high or too warm. The audible war-

ning sounds until is switched on by operation of the

fast-freeze switch.

Sound signal alarm with open door

This appliance incorporates an alarm which gives off

a sound signal when the door remains open for more

than 60 seconds. The signal can be stopped by clo-

sing the door.

Please clean the appliance interior and all accesso-

ries prior to starting the appliance. Plug in the applian-

ce at the mains supply.

• Push the ON/OFF knob (E) The green lamp (D)

comes on.

• Turn the temperature regulator (F) in the direc-

tion of „1“.

• The red lamp (C) comes on, the audible warn-

ing sounds , and the refrigeration motor starts up.

• Operate the fast-freeze knob (A). The yellow

pilot lamp (B) comes on and the audible warning

stops.

• Only when the red lamp (C) has gone out

should you reset the fast-freeze knob (A) the yel-

low light (B) goes out.

Setting “0”: Off.

Setting “1”: Hightest temperature, (warmest setting).

Setting “4” (end-stop) : Lowest temperature, (col-

dest setting).

The exact setting should be chosen keeping in mind

that the temperature inside the appliance depends

on:

The red temperature pilot-lamp (C) comes on when:

– the appliance has been started up but the stor-

age temperature has not yet been attained;

– the minimum storage temperature is no longer

being maintained (fault);

– excessive amounts of fresh food are placed

inside; or

– if the appliance door is open for too long.

Important note: if you operate the fast-freeze switch

or adjust the temperature regulator, it may happen

that your appliance’s refrigeration motor does not

start immediately but only after some time. This does

not mean that your appliance has a fault.

Important:

Regularly check on the red temperature pilot lamp (C)

and the thermometer that the required storage tem-

perature is being maintained.Please clean the

appliance interior and all accessories prior to starting

the appliance. Plug in the appliance at the mains sup-

Ice packs

There are ice packs in the drawer of the freezer.

In the event of a power failure or malfunction, the ice

pack will lengthen the amount of time it takes for the

frozen food to become too warm by several hours.

The ice pack can only fulfil this task optimally if it is

placed in the uppermost drawer, at the front, above

the frozen food. You can use the ice pack for cooling

cold bags.

est appuyé.

Avec le thermostat (F), la température de stockage

des produits congelés économisant le plus d’énergie

peut être réglée progressivement.

Les conditions optimales de stockage sont atteintes à

-18°C et elles peuvent être surveillées sur le thermo-

metre.

ing, so that they do not dry out or lose their

flavour, and so that no flavour contamination of

other frozen goods occurs.

Caution! Do not touch frozen food with wet hands.

1. Place the packed food in the drawers. Place food

must not touch items already frozen, otherwise

the frozen food could begin to defrost.

2. Press the fast freeze button 24 hours before

3. Place frozen foods in the drawers sorted by type,

as far as possible. Index tabs are supplied for

placing on drawers. To mark the contents of the

individual drawers, press the rider over the corre-

sponding symbol (see "Frozen Food

Symbols/Freezer Calendar" section). This will

give you a better overview of the contents, avoid

extended door opening and therefore save elec-

tricity.

You can use your freezer for freezing fresh food your-

self.

Important!

• The temperature in the freezer compartment

must be –18 °C or colder before freezing food.

• Please observe the freezing capacity given on

the rating plate. The freezing capacity is the max-

imum quantity of fresh food that can be frozen

within a period of 24 hours. If you wish to freeze

food several days in a row, please observe a

maximum capacity of only 2/3 to 3/4 of that on

the rating plate. The quality of the food is best

preserved when it is frozen right through to the

core as quickly as possible.

• Allow warm food to cool down before freezing.

The warmth will cause increased ice formation

and increase the power consumption.

• Please note the maximum storage times speci-

fied by the manufacturer.

• Thawed foods which have not been processed

further (cooked into meals) may not under any

circumstances be frozen a second time.

• Containers with flammable gases or liquids can

leak at low temperatures. There is a risk of an

explosion! Do not store any containers with flam-

mable materials such as, for example, spray

cans, fire extinguisher refill cartridges etc in the

refrigerator/freezer.

• Bottles and cans must not be placed in the

freezer. They can burst when the contents

freeze, high carbonate content drinks can even

explode! Never store lemonade, juices, beer,

wine, sparkling wine etc. in the freezer. Excep-

tion: high alcohol content spirits can be stored in

the freezer.

Freezing and storing frozen food

Preparation of Ice Cubes

1. Fill the ice cube tray 3/4 full with cold water,

place it in the freezer compartment and leave to

freeze.

2. To loosen the frozen cubes, either bend the ice

cube tray or hold it under running water for a few

seconds.

Important! Never try to free an ice tray that is frozen

to the freezer compartment using pointed or sharp

edged objects. Use the ice scraper supplied.

Storage Goods Symbols/Freezing

Calendar

• The symbols on the drawers show different

types of frozen goods.

• The numbers indicate storage times in months

for the appropriate types of frozen goods.

Whether the upper or lower value of the indicated

storage time is valid depends on the quality of

the foods and pre-treating before freezing. The

lower value applies to foods with high fat content.

• By attaching the included index-tabs to the

drawers, they can be marked according to which

type of foods the individual compartments con-

tain.

environ. Introduire l’équerre (B) dans la glissière (A).

Tenir ensemble la porte de l’appareil et celle du

meuble et marquer la position des trous comme l’in-

dique la figure. Enlever les équerres et pratiquer des

trous de 2 mm de à 8 mm du bord externe de la

porte. Remettre l’équerre en place sur la glissière et

fixer avec les vis fournies.

Defrosting

The freezer compartment, however, will become pro-

grssively covered with frost. This should be removed

with the special plastic scraper provided, whenever

the tickness of the frost exceeds 4 mm. During this

operation it is not necessary to switch off the power

supply or to remove the foodstuffs.

However when the ice becomes very thick on the

inner liner, complete defrosting should be carried out

as follows:

1. Remove the frozen food from the freezer, wrap it

in several layers of newspaper and put it in a

very cool place.

2. Switch off the appliance and pull out the plug, or

remove or unscrew the safety fuses.

3. Leave the freezer compartment door open.

4. Insert the plastic scraper into the recess provided

under the defrost water channel and place a col-

lecting basin under it.

5. Once defrosting is completed keep the scraper

for future use;

6. Turn the thermostat knob to the required setting

or replace the plug in the power socket.

Warning!

Never use metal tools to scrape off the frost

Do not use a mechanical device or any artificial

means to speed up the thawing process other

than those recommended by the manufacturer.

A temperature rise of the frozen food packs, dur-

ing defrosting , may shorten their safe storage

life.

If the appliance is not going to be used for an

extended period:

1. Remove all deep-frozen packages as well as ice

trays.

2. Switch off the appliance by turning the tempera-

ture regulator to position "0".

3. Remove the mains plug or switch off or turn out

the circuit breaker or fuse.

4. Defrost freezer compartment and clean thorough-

ly (see section: “Cleaning and Care”).

5. Leave the door open to avoid the build up of

odours.

For hygienic reasons the appliance interior, including

interior accessories, should be cleaned regularly.

Warning!

• The appliance may not be connected to the

mains during cleaning. Danger of electrical

shock! Before cleaning switch the appliance

offand rem ve the plug from the mains, or switch

off or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse.

• Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner.

Moisture could accumulate in electrical compo-

nents, danger of electrical shock! Hot vapours

can lead to the damage of plastic parts.

• The appliance must be dry before it is placed

back into service.

Cleaning and Care

Attention!

• Ethereal oils and organic solvents can attack

plastic parts, e.g.

– lemon juice or the juice from orange peals;

– butyric acid;

– cleansers which contain acetic acid.

Do not allow such substances to come into contact

with appliance parts.

• Do not use any abrasive cleansers.

1. Remove frozen food and the food from the refrig-

erator. Wrap frozen food in several layers of

newspaper. Store it in a cool place, well covered.

What to do if ...

Correcting Malfunctions

A malfunction may be caused by only a minor fault

that you can rectify yourself using the following

instructions. Do not perform any other work on the

appliance if the following information does not provi-

de assistance in your specific case.

• Only leave door open as long as necessary.

• Do not set temperature any colder than neces-

sary.

• Put frozen food in the fridge to defrost. The

cold in the frozen food will then be used to cool

the fridge.

• Keep the heat emitting condenser, the metall

grille on the rear wall of your appliance, always

clean.

Appliance does not work, no pilot light is illu-

minated.

• Do not install the appliance near cookers, radia-

tors or other sources of warmth. High ambient

temperatures cause longer, more frequent opera-

tion of the compressor.

• Ensure sufficient air circulation and exhaust at

the appliance base and at the back wall of the

appliance. Never cover air vent openings.

• Do not place warm foods into the appliance.

Allow warm foods to cool first.

2. Defrost the freezer compartment prior to cleaning

(see "Defrosting" section).

3. Switch the appliance off and remove the plug

from the mains, or switch off or turn out the cir-

cuit breaker or fuse.

4. Clean the appliance and the interior accessories

with a cloth and lukewarm water. Commercially

available dish washing detergents may also be

used.

5. After cleaning wipe with fresh water and rub dry.

Accumulation of dust at the condenser

increases energy consumption. For this reason

carefully clean the condenser at the back of

the appliance once a year with a soft brush or a

vacuum cleaner.

Energy Saving Tips

Warning! Repairs to refrigerators/freezers may only

be performed by qualified service engineers. Impro-

per repairs can give rise to significant hazards for the

after changing the temperature setting.

If necessary, carefully bend the component

out of the way.

Heavy build up of frost, possibly also on the

Door seal is not air tight (possibly after

changing over the hinges).

Carefully warm the leaking sections of the

door seal with a hair dryer (not hotter than

approx. 50 °C). At the same time shape the

warmed door seal by hand such that it sits

correctly.

The freezer temperature is not sufficient, red

Attention!: Avant l’élimination, rendre les

La température ambiante agit sur la consommation

Par conséquent

– ne pas exposer directement l’appareil au soleil;

– ne pas placer l’appareil à côté d’un poêle ou

autre source de chaleur;

– ne placer l’appareil qu’à un endroit dont la

température ambiante correspond à la classe cli-

matique pour lequel il est prévu.

La classe climatique est indiquée sur la plaque sig-

nalétique qui se trouve à l’intérieur de l’appareil.

Le tableau ci-après indique quelle température ambi-

Enlever toutes les bandes autocollantes et

rembourrages de l’intérieur de l’appareil.

Si l’installation à côté d’une source de chaleur est

inévitable, observer les distances latérales minimales

suivantes:

– avec des cuisinières électriques 3 cm;

– avec des poêles à mazout et à charbon 30 cm.

S’il n’est pas possible d’observer ces distances, une

plaque isolante doit être placée entre la source de

chaleur et l’appareil frigorifique.

Si l’appareil est placé à côté d’un autre réfrigérateur

ou congélateur, une distance latérale de 5 cm est

nécessaire pour éviter la formation decondensation

sur les côtés des appareils.
