HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
PREPARATION OF AIRSHROUD
7
STEP 2
Place AirShroud into the boot. Make
sure that the battery compartment
(the side with the On/Off button) is
facing to the left.
STEP 5
SALOON & COUPÉ
Hook the adjustable straps to a hole
of your choice, or bar.
SUV
In the boot, find somewhere stable
and secure to hook the adjustable
straps in place. (This could be small
handle bars at the back or base of
the rear seat, or at the side of the
boot. Or the bar of the back seat
head-rest.)
STEP 4
SALOON & COUPÉ
On the upper side of the inner boot,
you will be able to see a number of
large holes as shown in this example,
or a horizontal bar.

Proceed to STEP 5
STEP 3
There is a pair of small hooks attached to an adjustable strap and
buckle behind the device on the left and right side.
HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
PREPARATION OF AIRSHROUD
STEP 6
Adjust the length of the strap by sliding the buckle up or down
and pulling the strap.
STEP 7
The aim is to adjust the strap to the
right length, so that the device sus-
pends horizontally and firmly out-
side the lower rim of the boot, with
its sponge leg resting on the side of
the car.
8
Attention! Make sure that when you adjust the buckle,
the buckle is positioned closer towards the inside of the
boot to avoid damage to the buckle when you close the
trunk lid shut.
HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
PREPARATION OF AIRSHROUD
Attention! When adjusting the length of the strap,
please do it while the device is resting inside the boot
and not suspended on the side of your car.
9
STEP 8
Once this is done, and assuming that the battery power is fully
charged, the device is now fully prepared for use.
STEP 9
If you do not intend to use it right now, then place the device
back into the trunk. You can leave the hooks attached. But if you
choose to unhook it, please remember the general locations
where you have attached the hooks to, in order to save you time
finding the right places to hook to.
Attention! Make sure that the hooks are firmly hooked
before you try to suspend the device outside to avoid
it from falling and causing injury to your feet, as well as
causing damage to the device.
Also please do not use force to tug the strap away from
the device or try to deadlift the device up by pulling the
strap as it might break the joint and cause injury to
yourself.
Attention! Remember to close the trunk lid and lock
the car.
ADDITIONAL ADVICE
Please keep this user manual, the rotary handle, bungee cord,
and spare remote control safely inside your boot along with
AirShroud just in case.
HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
PREPARATION OF AIRSHROUD
STEP 1
Open the trunk lid at the rear of the car. (If AirShroud is not cur-
rently stored inside the trunk, place it inside now with the battery
compartment facing towards the left.)
STEP 2
Make sure that the adjustable straps are properly hooked in place.
STEP 3
Move the device outwards so that
it suspends horizontally and firmly
outside the lower rim of the trunk,
with its sponge legs resting on the
side of the car.
10
HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
PREPARATION OF AIRSHROUD
Before you cover your car, make sure that your car is relatively
clean. Remove any large organic material like twigs, nuts, leaves;
large pieces of dirt/dust; dried up bird droppings to avoid it
scratching on the surface of your car and also contaminate the
inside of the car cover when operating AirShroud.
The following assumes that you have already prepared your
device for your car. If you had not yet done so, please read the
‘Preparation of AirShroud’ section.
Attention! Make sure that the hooks are firmly hooked
before you try to suspend the device outside to avoid
it from falling and causing injury to your feet, as well as
causing damage to the device.
HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
COVERING YOUR CAR
11
STEP 4
Close the trunk lid shut.
STEP 5
Press the On/Off button located on
the battery compartment to switch
the device on. When the device is on,
the power indicator lights will be on,
and there will be a beeping sound.
Closely monitor the power indicator.
If power is low, please recharge first.
STEP 6
Slide the lid open to reveal the car cover inside the device.
Attention! If AirShroud is low on power after covering
your car, you can remove the battery compartment,
and recharge it indoors. If you do so, please do it when
weather conditions are dry. Also please keep small
children away from the device whilst it is operating to
avoid causing injury and harm.
HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
COVERING YOUR CAR
STEP 7
Use your right hand to grip the han-
dle, and your left hand to hold the
remote control.
12
STEP 8
Press and hold the ‘Cover’ but-
ton on the remote control. Move
along the left side of the car towards
the front, whilst pulling the car cov-
er over the top of your car using the
handle rod as a guide.
Attention! If you accidentally pressed the ‘Uncov-
er’ button instead (which would cause the handle rod
to be pulled into the device), release the button imedi-
ately. Then press the ‘Cover’ button and resume as
normal.
Attention! You have to physically pull the cover over your
car using the handle rod as a guide. Pressing the
‘Cover’ button does not cause the car cover to cover your
car automatically, but just unlocks the car cover from
the device so you are able to pull it out.
HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
COVERING YOUR CAR
13
STEP 9
Let go of the ‘Cover’ button once the front of the car cover
has reached the full length of the car.
STEP 10
Shorten the length of the handle rod.
STEP 13
Turn off the device and open the trunk lid
STEP 11
Tuck the elasticated hems around
the front two corners of the car.
STEP 12
Return to the rear of the car, press
the ‘Cover’ button on the re-
mote control and pull the cover out
of the device to incrementally re-
lease more of the car cover from the
device, and place the cover on top of
the trunk lid.
HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
COVERING YOUR CAR
Attention! If you have purchased a tailored car cover,
please cover up the side-mirrors first before tucking in
the elasticated hems at the front of the car. Otherwise,
the stretched fabric would make it hard to cover. The
side-mirrors should be folded.
14
STEP 14
Place the device back inside the
boot.
STEP 15
Close the trunk lid.
STEP 16
Stretch out the remaining cover
along the back of the car so that the
elasticated hems fit tightly around
the back corners of the car.
Attention! Remember to lock your car after using Air
Shroud.
Attention! If the device turns itself off during normal
operation, please read page 28 ‘Troubleshoot/ FAQ’ sec
tion

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR COVERING YOUR CAR IN
CERTAIN SITUATIONS: FOR THE ANTICIPATION OF WINDY
WEATHER CONDITIONS
If you have already covered your car, and you anticipate that the
weather will become windy, please read the following instruc-
tions:
STEP 1
At the grey side (back) of the car cov-
er where your car wheels are located,
there is a large pocket that contains
a long side-release buckle strap.
STEP 2
Open the pocket and take out the
side-release buckle strap.
STEP 3
Loop the strap with the fork end
around the car frame and lock it
with the side-release buckle.
HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
COVERING YOUR CAR
16
STEP 4
You can then tighten the side-re-
lease buckle strap to ensure that the
car cover will stay in place and will
not flap about even if weather con-
ditions are windy.
FOR THE ANTICIPATION OF EXTREME WINDY WEATHER CON-
DITIONS
If you had locked the side-release buckles to the four car wheels,
it should be enough to keep the cover from being blown away
and stabilized. But exceptionally strong winds can still get into
the middle section of the cover and cause the car cover to puff
up, as well as blowing any dust, dirt and leaves into the cover. To
prevent this from happening and to ensure additional safety, we
advise you to use the bungee cord provided in the box. Below is
a set of instructions on how to use your bungee cord.
STEP 1
Once you have covered your car, move to one side of the car and
look for a small loop on the middle-bottom edge of the cover.
STEP 2
Hook the bungee cord to the loop.
HOW TO USE AIRSHROUD
COVERING YOUR CAR
17
STEP 5
Once you have covered your car, move to one side of the car and
look for a small loop on the middle-bottom edge of the cover.
STEP 3
Open the metal lock and adjust the
length of the bungee cord so that
it’s just a bit longer than the width
of the car.
STEP 6
Hook the bungee cord to the loop.
STEP 4
Then close the metal lock with the
thumb pressed firmly on the lock,
and with the other hand give the
bungee cord a small tug to stretch
it. This ensures that the lock is firm-
ly pressed on the cord so that the
length is fixed.
Attention! If you are trying to tie the bungee cord to the
car cover near the road, please be careful of passing cars
for your personal health and safety.
