PREFACE
Thank you for purchasing our product. In order to operate this device correctly we
recommend reading this user’s manual before you use this MP3 player.
Specifications are subject to change without notice.
**Precautions**
1. Remove the battery from the MP3 player when you are not going to use it for a long time in
order to prevent any damage caused by battery seepage or erosion.
2. Do not use this device in extreme thermal conditions (i.e. in cold, dusty or wet
environments).
3. Make sure the hold key is in the “Off” position before using this device.
4. You may need to replace the new battery under the following circumstances:
a) The battery indicator on the LCD display shows “Empty Battery”.
b) The device powers off unexpectedly.
c) The function buttons are not responding normally.
5. In order to prevent static electricity, do not use this device in particularly dry
circumstances.
6. Do not disconnect this device while it is being formatted or while uploading/downloading
files. It may cause damage to the hardware.
7. Do not disconnect your MP3 player while a file is being downloaded. Disconnecting
while downloading could damage the MP3 Player.
8. If the MP3 player is not working properly, check the battery to make sure that it is not
drained. If you are sure that the battery is working, re-insert the battery into the MP3
player for 3 seconds.
9. If the MP3 player is not working properly while connected to the computer, check the
USB connection to make sure that it is properly connected.

Operating the function keys: There are two ways to use the function keys that will
allow you to access different menu options on your MP3 player: the quick press and
press and hold.
The quick press: Press the key quickly to perform the function.
Press and hold: Press the key and continue to hold it down for about 2~3 seconds to
perform the function.
STARTING THE MP3 PLAYER
1. Turning the power on /off:
a. Press and hold the PLAY key to turn ON the power. The blue back light will light up and the
LCD screen will display “MP3 PLAYER. One you see “MP3 PLAYER, release the PLAY key.
b. While the player is on, press and hold the PLAY key to turn the power OFF. The LCD
screen will display “BYE BYE” as it powers off.
2. Playing MP3/WMA music or recorded files:
While the MP3 player is powered on, quickly press the PLAY key to play music. The LCD screen
will display information about the music playing.
3. Pause Music/Voice Track
Quickly press the PLAY key to pause the music/voice track. To resume playing, quickly press
the PLAY key again.
4. Stop Music/Voice Track
While the music/voice track is playing, press and hold the PLAY key to stop the music/voice
track and return to Standby mode.
5. Track Selection
In either Standby or Play mode, shift the MODE key to the left or right to choose the track you
want to play.
6. Fast Forward/Rewind
While playing music, shift and hold the MODE key to the right or left to fast forward or rewind
the current track.
7. A-B Repeat
While playing music, quickly press the MODE key to enter into AÆB mode.
a. Once you press the MODE key, you will see the “A” in the top left corner of the LCD display. The “A” indicates
the starting point of the part of the track you want to repeat.
b. To choose which part of the track you would like to select as the ending point of the repeat, quickly press the
MODE key again. You will see aB in the top, left corner of the LCD display. Once you see theA-B in the
top left corner, this means that you have successfully selected the portion of the track that you would like to
repeat. The selection will continue to repeat until you cancel the repeat function.
c. To cancel the AÆB repeat mode, quickly press the MODE key again to return to normal playing status.
8. Volume Control
While the MP3 player is in play mode, press the volume +/- keys to adjust the volume level.
MAIN MENU:
While the player is on, quickly press the MODE key while in Standby/Pause Mode or you may
press MODE key in Playing Mode to open Menu, the function menu will appear on LCD screen,
shift the MODE key forward or backward to select the function as follow:

Navigation Mode: Select folder or music to play.
Music Mode: Enter into music files playback mode.
Voice Mode: Enter into voice files playback mode.
Record Mode: Enter into voice record mode and begin record.
Erase File Mode: Erase music file or voice file.
Settings Mode: Select various settings for the MP3 player.
About Mode: Displays firmware version and memory information for the MP3 player.
1. Navigation Mode
Navigation mode allows you to browse through selected folders or music files that are
stored on your MP3 player.
a. To enter into Navigation mode, press and hold the MODE key to access the main
menu, and then quickly press the MODE key again to enter Navigation mode. The
LCD will display the folder(s) or music file(s) which exist in the root directory of the
MP3 Player.
b. To view all of the files and folders stored on your MP3 player, Shift the MODE key
to the left or right to scroll through the folder(s) or music file(s).
c. To access a single music file that is not stored within a folder, select the track by
quickly pressing the PLAY key. The MP3 player will revert back to Music mode and
you will need to press the PLAY key a second time to play the selected track.
d. To access files stored within a folder while in Navigation mode, scroll through the
files until you find the folder you would like to select tracks from, then quickly
press the MODE key to enter the folder and then press the PLAY key to select the
file within the folder that you would like to play. Once you have made your
selection, the MP3 player will revert back to Music mode and you will need to press
the PLAY key a second time to play the selected files.
e. To access the entire folder while in Navigation mode, scroll through the files until
you find the folder you would like to select and quickly press the PLAY key to select
the folder that you would like to play. Once you have made your selection, the
MP3 player will revert back to Music mode and you will need to press the PLAY key
a second time to play the folder files.
f. To back out of a folder or subdirectory in Navigation mode, quickly press the VOL+
key.
g. To delete files in Navigation mode, select the file that you would like to delete by
quickly pressing the MODE key. Then quickly press the VOL- key to confirm your
selection. Next, quickly press the MODE key again and the LCD will display the
delete option. To delete, press the PLAY key. If the deletion is successful, the
LCD will read “File Deleted”. If you decide not to delete the file, quickly press the
VOL+ key to exit back to Navigation mode. Please note: you may only delete
SINGLE files using this method. To delete an entire folder, you must remove the
folder from the MP3 player by using your computer to move or delete the folder.
2. Music Mode
Music mode allows you to scroll through and listen to music files stored on your MP3
player. If there are no music files available on your MP3 player, “NO MP3 FILE” will
appear on the LCD screen indicating that there are no music files stored on the player. To
select Music mode from the main menu, press and hold the MODE key to enter the main
menu. Use the MODE key to scroll through the menu options. Select “Music” and quickly
press the MODE key to enter Music mode.
3. Voice Mode
Voice mode allows you to listen to recorded tracks. If there are no recorded/voice files
available on your MP3 player, “NO VOC FILE” will appear on the LCD screen indicating that
there are no recorded/voice files stored on the player. Please note that voice mode only
allows you to listen to recorded tracks, so music files will not appear in this mode. To
select Voice mode from the main menu, press and hold the MODE key to enter the main
menu. Use the MODE key to scroll through the menu options. Select “Voice” and quickly
press the MODE key to enter Music mode.
4. Record Mode
Record Mode allows you to record voice tracks. Once you record a track in Record mode,
you must switch your MP3 player back to Voice mode to listen to your recorded tracks.
Therefore, you can only record in Record mode.
a. To begin recording a track, press and hold the MODE key to enter the main menu.
Use the MODE key to scroll through the menu options until you find “Record”.
Quickly press the MODE key again to select “Record”. The MP3 player will enter
Record Mode and immediately begin recording.
b. During the recording process, you may pause the recording by quickly pressing the
PLAY key to pause the recording. To resume recording, quickly press the PLAY key
again. Please note that you will continue to record one track if you continue to
play and pause the recording. To record a separate track you must stop recording
and begin the record process again.
c. To stop recording, quickly press the MODE key. The MP3 player will immediately
return to Voice mode where you can listen to your recorded track. To begin
recording another track, follow steps a through c, and you should notice that the
number of recorded tracks increases when you return back to Voice mode.
5. Erase File Mode
Erase file mode allows you to erase both music and voice files from your MP3 player.
Please note that you may erase only individual files, not folders. To erase folders or
multiple files from your MP3 player, you must connect the MP3 player to your computer
and delete the folders or multiple files using your computer.
a. Enter into Erase File mode by pressing and holding the MODE key to enter the
main menu. Using the MODE key, scroll through the menu options and select
“Erase File” by quickly pressing the MODE key.
b. To erase music files, select “Delete Music” from the Erase File submenu and
quickly press the MODE key to confirm your selection. Using the MODE key,
scroll through the music tracks stored on your MP3 player and quickly press the
MODE key again to select the track you wish to delete. The LCD screen will
display the delete option shown below. Press the PLAY key to delete the music
file. If you decide not to delete the selected file, press the VOL+ key to return to
the Erase File submenu.
c. To erase voice files, select “Delete Voice” from the Erase File submenu and quickly
press the MODE key to confirm your selection. Using the MODE key, scroll
through the voice/recorded tracks stored on your MP3 player and quickly press
the MODE key again to select the track you wish to delete. The LCD screen will
display the delete option shown above. Press the PLAY key to delete the
voice/recorded file. If you decide not to delete the selected file, press the VOL+
key to return to the Erase File submenu.
d. To exit the Erase File submenu, select Delete Exit to return to the main menu.
From the main menu, you may use the MODE key to scroll through the main
menu options.
6. SETTINGS:
EQ Set:
The EQ Set mode allows you to select from different equalizer settings to adjust the sound
quality of the music stored on your MP3 player. There are 6 equalizer settings: Normal,
Rock, Jazz, Full Base, Pop, and Classical. Once you select an equalizer setting, the setting
will apply to all tracks stored on your MP3 player.
a. To enter into the EQ Set mode, press and hold the MODE key to enter into the main
menu. Using the MODE key, scroll through the main menu options and select
“Settings” and quickly press the MODE key again to confirm your selection. EQ Set
is the first choice in the Settings submenu. Quickly press the MODE key to select
“EQ Set” to enter EQ Set mode.
b. Use the MODE key to scroll through the EQ settings (Normal, Rock, Jazz, Full Base,
Pop, and Classical). Quickly press the MODE key to select the setting you wish to
use. Note, if you have a music track playing while you scroll through the EQ
settings, you can hear the difference in the EQ setting options.
c. Once you have selected the EQ Setting you prefer, you will return to the Settings
submenu. Use the MODE key to scroll through the Settings submenu and once
select “Exit” by quickly pressing the MODE key to return to the main menu.
Play Mode:
The Play mode allows you to set your MP3 player to play your music tracks in various
ways. There are six play modes and they are:
+ Normal: Plays all music files and stops at the last music file.
+ Repeat One: Plays only a single music file repeatedly.
+ Repeat All: Plays all music files repeatedly.
+ Random: Plays all music files at random and stops at the last music file played.
+ Shuffle All: Plays all music at randomly and does not stop after the last music file
has been played.
+ Intro: Plays the first 10 seconds of each music file.
a. To enter into Play mode, press and hold the MODE key to enter into the
main menu. Using the MODE key, scroll through the main menu options
and select “Settings” and quickly press the MODE key again to confirm
your selection. Using the MODE key, scroll through the Settings submenu
options and select “Play Mode” and quickly press the MODE key again to
confirm your selection. Play Mode is the second choice in the Settings
submenu.
b. Use the MODE key to scroll through the Play Mode settings (Normal,
Repeat One, Repeat All, Random, Shuffle All, Intro). Quickly press the
MODE key to select the setting you wish to use.
c. Once you have selected the Play mode you prefer, you will return to the
Settings submenu. Use the MODE key to scroll through the Settings
submenu and once select “Exit” by quickly pressing the MODE key to
return to the main menu.
Contrast:
Contrast mode allows you to adjust the contrast of the information that appears on the
LCD screen of the MP3 player.
a. To enter into Contrast mode, press and hold the MODE key to enter into the main
menu. Using the MODE key, scroll through the main menu options and select
“Settings” and quickly press the MODE key again to confirm your selection. Using
the MODE key, scroll through the Settings submenu options and select “Contrast”
and quickly press the MODE key again to confirm your selection. Contrast is the
third choice in the Settings submenu.
b. Use the MODE key to increase or lower the contrast level on your MP3 player.
c. Once you have selected the contrast level you prefer, you will return to the
Settings submenu. Use the MODE key to scroll through the Settings submenu and
once select “Exit” by quickly pressing the MODE key to return to the main menu.
Back Light:
The Back light mode allows you to adjust the length of time the back light stays on while
you use your MP3 player. The time ranges from 0 to 60 seconds.
a. To enter into back light mode, press and hold the MODE key to enter into the main
menu. Using the MODE key, scroll through the main menu options and select
“Settings” and quickly press the MODE key again to confirm your selection. Using
the MODE key, scroll through the Settings submenu options and select “BackLight”
and quickly press the MODE key again to confirm your selection. Back Light is the
fourth choice in the Settings submenu.
b. Use the MODE key to increase or lower the amount of time you would like the back
light to stay on.
c. Once you have selected the contrast level you prefer, you will return to the
Settings submenu. Use the MODE key to scroll through the Settings submenu and
once select “Exit” by quickly pressing the MODE key to return to the main menu.
Power Set:
The Power Set mode allows you to adjust how long your MP3 player will stay on before it
automatically shuts off. The automatic shut off timer will start the count down if no key is
pressed in while the MP3 player is stopped or not playing files. The MP3 player will
automatically turn off after the count down time ends. The count down time ranges from 0
to 10 minutes, unless the Power Set mode is disabled. Please note that if this feature is
disabled, the system will never power off automatically.
a. To enter into the Power Set mode, press and hold the MODE key to enter into the
main menu. Using the MODE key, scroll through the main menu options and select
“Settings” and quickly press the MODE key again to confirm your selection. Using
the MODE key, scroll through the Settings submenu options and select “Power Set”
and quickly press the MODE key again to confirm your selection. Power Set is the
fifth choice in the Settings submenu.
b. Use the MODE key to scroll through the Power Set count down times (Disable, 1
min, 2 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins). Quickly press the MODE key to select the setting
you wish to use.
c. Once you have selected the Power Set count down time you prefer, you will return
to the Settings submenu. Use the MODE key to scroll through the Settings
submenu and once select “Exit” by quickly pressing the MODE key to return to the
main menu.
Record Set:
ENC: Set encode format. There are 3 types: PCM, IMADPCM, and MSADPCM
Sample: Set recording rate. There are 7 types: 8000Hz, 11025 Hz, 16000 Hz, 22050
Hz, 32000 Hz and 44100Hz
Right or left shift MODE key to select the option and short press MODE key to select
which encode format or recording rate you prefer.
Language:
The Language setting shows which language you have selected to view on your MP3 player.
English is the only choice for this MP3 player.
USING THE MP3 PLAYER WITH YOUR COMPUTER:
No driver is needed for Windows ME/ 2000/ XP users.
Windows 98 Users Only:
Installing the driver located on the CD Rom for Windows 98 users only
You will need to install the driver software for Windows 98 before you connect the player
to your PC. If you are using an operating system higher than Windows 98 you will not
need to load the drivers.
a. To install the driver for Windows 98, insert the CD that comes with the MP3 player
into the CD-Rom drive of your computer.
b. Open the Start Menu on your computer desktop toolbar.
c. Select Run
d. In the Run window, enter “CD-ROM DRIVE LETTER:/setup.exe”. Note: You must
enter the actual letter that corresponds with where your CD-Rom drive is located
on your computer. A quick way to find out which letter represents your CD-Rom
drive, click on My Computer and you will see a list of the drives on your computer.
For example, if your CD-Rom drive is represented by the letter “d”, you would enter
“d:/setup.exe” in the run window.
e. The installation wizard will guide you through the rest of the installation process.
Continue to follow the wizard prompts and click “next” until you finish installing the
driver.
f. Restart your computer after installation is finished.
FOR ALL OPERATING SYSTEMS: WINDOWS AND MAC
Connecting the MP3 Player to your Computer
CAUTION: when you remove the cap of your MP3 player, be sure to ground yourself by
touching a metal surface before touching the end of the USB connection point. This will
eliminate the possibility of transmitting static electric shock to the MP3 player.
Connect to the MP3 player to your computer by either removing the cap and connecting it
directly to the USB port of your computer or by connecting it to the USB extension cord
provided with your MP3 player. The LCD screen will display a symbol showing that it is
connecting to your computer.
Transferring Files Manually from the Computer to your MP3 Player
1. Turn on the MP3 player and connect it to your computer.
2. Open My Computer and find your MP3 player located under the Removable
Storage Devices category. Note: you may have multiple removable storage
devices, so the best way to determine which device is your MP3 player is to
disconnect your MP3 player while My Computer is open and then reconnect it.
You will see it disappear and reappear.
3. Double click on your MP3 player to open it on your computer.
4. Once your MP3 player is open, you may access other files stored on your
computer in different directories. At this point you may copy and paste the files
you wish to transfer from files stored on your computer to your MP3 player
located under the removable storage devices category.
5. The file is now stored on your MP3 player. You may disconnect it from your
computer.
For Example:
a. You could connect the MP3 player to your computer.
b. Find it under your removable storage devices and open it.
c. Then go to My Music and select the file you wish to transfer.
d. Right click on the file you would like to transfer and select Copy.
e. Go back to your MP3 player located under the removable storage devices in My
Computer.
f. Right click in the MP3 player and select paste.
g. You should see that the file appears on your MP3 player.
Deleting Files from your MP3 Player Using your Computer
1. Turn on the MP3 player and connect it to your computer.
2. Open My Computer and find your MP3 player located under the Removable
Storage Devices category. Note: you may have multiple removable storage devices,
so the best way to determine which device is your MP3 player is to disconnect your
MP3 player while My Computer is open and then reconnect it. You will see it
disappear and reappear.
3. Double click on your MP3 player to open it on your computer. Once your MP3
player is open, select the files or folders that you wish to delete by highlighting them
using your mouse. Press the delete key on your keyboard to delete the file or folder.
Downloading Files to your Computer
Due to the wide variety of internet music service providers, files formats, compression
ratios, digital rights management, etc., there are several methods for downloading files to
your computer and ultimately your MP3 player. You may use the search function on our
Online Forum to view the latest information on how to download files or you may post a

Ripping Files to your Computer from a CD
In order to rip a file from a CD that you have purchased, you must use a file ripping
program. Since there are a wide variety of programs, there are several ways to rip a file
to your computer. You may consult the help menu of the program you are using to find
more detailed information about ripping files or you may also use the search function on
our Online Forum to view the latest information on how to rip files or you may post a

Format the Player:
Format will delete all the files in PLAYER. The MP3 USB Flash Drive only supports FAT16
format. If you format to any other formats, it can cause the MP3 USB Flash Drive to not
