2. PRECAUTIONS
Do
not
grip
or
pull
out the
disc
while it is
being
pulled
into
the
CD
player
by the
automatic re-
loading
mechanism.
Do not
pull
the
unit from the
dash
immediately
after a disc is
inserted
or
the
Eject
Switch
has
been
pressed.
lf the
unit is
pulled
out
before an ooeration is
com-
pleted,
the
disc
will be unstable
in the
unit and may
be damaged.
Do not
attempt
to
insert
a disc
into the
unit when the
unit
is
out
of
the
dash or the ACC is
off.
Your
player
accepts only
one
disc
at a
time
for
playback.
Do
not
attempt to load more
than
one
disc.
Make
sure the label
side
is
facing
up when
you
insert
the
disc.
Your
player
will automatically
eject any disc that is
inserted
incorrectly.
Playing
a disc
while driving
on a
very bumpy road may result
in
skips, but
this
will
not
scratch the
disc or damage the
player.

You may notice
the
CD
playback
sound wavering
due
to
condensat-
ion. lf this happens,
remove the
disc
from the
player
and wait about
an
hour
for the moisture
to evaporate.

3. BASIC
OPERATION

CONTROL KNOB
The radio
unit may
be operated
when the
ignition key is in the
"ACC"
or
"ON"
position.
Press the
button to switch the
power
on.
The LCD
(Liquid
Crystal Disply)
shows the
radio frequency
in the radio mode.
To
switch
the
power
off,
press
the
button
again.
VOLUME CONTROL
Rotate the knob
clockwise to increase
the
volume and counterclockwise
to reduce
the
volume.

The
Liquid Crystal Display
panel
displays
the frequency,
band, channel
of Radio
mode
and track, funtion
of CD mode.

BASS/TREBLE
CONTROL KNOB
Press the knob
out and rotate
the
knob
clockwise to increase
the
bass and
counter-
clockwise to reduce
the
bass.
To
control
the
treble,
pull
the knob
out
slightly. Rotate the
control knob
clockwise
to
increase
the treble
and counterclockwise
to
reduce the treble.

FADER
CONTROL
This knob is located
behind the
volume
knob. Rotate the
knob counterclockwise
to emphasize rear
speaker
sound.
(Front
speaker sound
will be
attenuated.)
When the
control knob is
turned
clockwise, front
speaker sound
will be
emphasized.
(Rear
speaker
sound will
be
attenuated.)

Pull-out
the volume knob
and turn the
control knob
clockwise to emohasize

the disc

a clean,
soft cloth.

the disc surface and
impro-
ving
sound
quality.

most of
them

influence

thickness and/or
diameter of

ard specifications
and
may
crea-
te operational
problems.
We
rec-
ommend
not using
these
accessories
on discs
played
in
this CD
player.
Do not
affix
tape,
paper,
or
gummed
labels on
the
