Crosslee 031284A1530084AS is a tumble dryer designed for normal domestic use. placed directly next to ovens or cookers, as the

performance of the dryer may be affected.

– We recommend that the appliance is unplugged each time

after use. It should always be disconnected from the

electricity supply if it is to be left unattended for long

periods (i.e. weekends, holidays etc.)

– The rear of the dryer gets quite hot during use, position the

dryer so that the back is not accessible while in operation,

but the sides have a space available to allow air flow.

– It is important to clean fluff from the window of the dryer

and around the door seal after each drying cycle.Failure to

do so could result in water leaking.

First remove the child safety peg from the top of the door by rotating 90…

anticlockwise.

Now unscrew the door hinges from the machine by

emoving the 4 screws. Do not use a power screwdriver as this may damage the screw threads.

6. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

OBLEMS

If you feel the appliance is not drying correctly, please carry out

these quick checks:

–

MIN.(SLO

W) ENERGY SETTING

Please note that this setting is 4 times as long as the

MAX.(FAST) Setting and is approximately 8 hours.

When using this setting, no heat can be felt from the

appliance.

– MAX.(FAST) SETTING

When using this setting, the machine and load may feel

cooler than a conventional tumble dryer. This is due to it’s

energy saving capabilities and is perfectly normal.

– Check that you used the correct heater setting (If

applicable).

– Check that the lint filter has been has been cleaned and the

vent hose is not constricted. A blocked filter or

vent hose will restrict the airflow.

– Check that your dryer is heating - below the door to the right

side

eel warm to the touch after the first 10-15

minutes of its programme. Failure to heat may indicate the

safety cut-out has operated. To reset, simply press the red

button at the rear of the machine. If it has operated, a sharp

“clic

k” will be heard.This cut-out only operates if the airflow

erely restricted so mak

e sure the filter is clean, the air

inlets and outlets at the front and back are not blocked, and

that all other restrictions are removed before re-starting.

– Check that the machine has the correct weight load in the

drum.

If your machine

does not work check the following before calling

a service engineer:

– Check that there is a supply of electricity.

– Check that the door has been properly closed and the

machine is switched on. Press the start button (if fitted)

1. INSTALLATION

Open the door

Load clothes loosely into the drum.

Load sheets first, star

Choose the final dryness level.

Select the required heat setting.

The drum will rotate in an anticlockwise direction, with the drying

status light (if fitted) flashing once.

The drum will now begin to rotate clockwise and will stop

If a load is checked mid cycle restart the appliance by, closing the

door and pressing the start button.When drying large items such

as sheets

When drying mixed loads, the dryer may stop when the lighter

items are dry. These should be removed and the dryer restarted

There is an automatic 12 minute cool down period at the end of

every cycle, during which the heater is switched off.This helps to

minimise creasing.

An anti crease cycle will contin

ue until the door is opened.

This

intermittently rotates the drum, to prevent creasing.

HOT LOAD IN THE DRUM.

AFTER REMOVING THE DRIED CLOTHES:

Do not tumble dry woollen or wool mixture articles unless the

To avoid the need to iron easycare polyester/cotton items it is

better to only dry small loads (i.e half fill drum).

It is better to dry small and large articles together.

We suggest a fabric conditioner be used to reduce static

electricity.

Do not overload the dryer or dry large bulky items such as

duvets or sleeping bags as it is important that the airflow through

the dr

yer is not obstructed.

Do not place items contaminated with inflammable substances

in the dryer, such as petrol, cleaning solvents, cooking oil, fat, or

hair lacquer.These can cause fires.For the same reason, do not

A. START BUTTON

To start the drying cycle.

IF FITTED)

Indicates that Anti crease is in operation and that the

clothes are ready to be removed from the dryer.

The neon will flash on at the start of the drying cycle.

C. DRYNESS SELECTOR

Choose the final dryness of the load by selecting the

desired dryness. (see programme chart).

Note: The use of an iron dry programme will use 30%

less energy than a cupboard dry programme.

D. MIN.(SLOW)

This can be selected at any time with any of the dryness

programmes.

Note: When selected, the drying time will be extended

by approximately 4 times, however the total energy

consumed per cycle is 30% less compared to the fast

mode

The savings from the use of the min.(slow) Energy mode

are additional to those from the use of the iron dry

programmes.

E. HEAT SELECTOR

To select full or half heat.

FRONT VENTING

his is a special type of dryer

which vents through a grille on the

plinth. The opening on the rear is

blanked off during manufacturing.

FIXED REAR VENTING

Venting is through the large

opening at the bottom of the

rear panel. A separate

extendible vent hose can be

attached if desired

EXTENDABLE REAR VENTING

long flexible hose is built into the

dryer and can be extended from

the large opening at the rear of the

machine.

Rear vented dryers can be used without a vent hose but not in a

confined space. Rear vented machines must have a vent hose if

they are installed under a work surface.To minimise condensation it

is preferable to vent through a vent hose to outside. This may be

through an open door or window.The best solution is to connect the

vent hose to a permanent connection through a wall or single glazed

window.

This is particularly recommended for small, cool rooms. A kit for this

purpose is available as an accessory. Front venting machines must

be converted to extendible rear venting before a permanent

connection can be made to the outside.
