itisnotinsertedcorrectly.
Gentlypushitbehindthe
foldofyourear.
•Liftthehearinginstrument
intoplacebehindyourear.
Becarefulnottotwistthe
tubing.

•Pushthebackofyourearwithyourthumb
toloosenthehelixpartoftheearmold,then
useyourindexngertoremoveit.
•Graspthehelixpartoftheearmoldandtwist
itforward.
•Gentlypulltheearmoldstraightoutofthe
ear,holdingontothehelixpartofthemold.
Important:Donotremovetheearmoldby
pullingonthehearinginstrument.This
coulddisconnecttheinstrumentfromthe
earmoldordamagethetubing.

•Graspthebendofthe
soundtubeandgently
pushthedomeintoyour
earcanaluntilthetube
restsagainsttheside
ofyourhead.
•Pushtheeargripinto
thebowlofyourear.
•Ifthesoundtubeisstick-
ingoutfromyourear,
insertthedomefurther.

out,ithasnotbeen
positionedcorrectly.

Removing your instruments

•Graspthebendofthesoundtubeandgently
pullthetubeanddomeoutofyourear.
•Lifttheinstrumentfrombehindyourear.
Important:Donotremovethesoundtubeand
domebypullingonthehearinginstrument.
Thismightdisconnecttheinstrumentfromthe
soundtube.

Closethebatterydoorcompletely.Thehearingin-
strumentwillemitonelongbeepwhenitstartsup.
To turn the instrument OFF
Openthebatterydoorslightlyuntilaclickisfelt.

Whenthebatteryisrunningout,theinstrument
willbeepatregularintervals.Youshouldbepre-
paredtoreplacethebattery.Thetimeuntilthe
instrumentsstopworkingdependsonthebattery
typeandmanufacturer.Mercury-freebatteries
generallycauseearlierwarningbeeps.
Yourhearinginstrumentusesasize312battery.
•Gentlyswingthe
batterydrawerfullyopen,
butdonotforceit.
•Takeouttheusedbattery.
•Removethesticker
fromthenewbattery.
•Placethebatteryinto
thedrawerwiththeat,
smoothsidefacingup
(+sign).
•Closethebatterydrawer
securely.

•Batterylifewillvarywithconditionsofuse
(batterieswillrundownfasterinnoisyenviron-

•Alwayskeepsparebatteriesonhand.
•Ausedbatteryshouldbereplacedimmediately.
•Ifyouarenotgoingtouseyourhearinginstru-
mentsforafewdays,removethebatteries.
•Anymoisturefoundonabatteryshouldbe
wipedoffimmediatelywithasoftcloth.
•Usedbatteriesshouldbereturnedtoyour
batterysupplierorhearingprofessional
forsafedisposal.
•Neverdisposeofbatteriesbyburningthem.

ments.Ifyoudonotwantthisfeaturetobeactive,

Ifyourinstrumentisequippedwithdatalearning,
yourhearingprofessionalcanactivatethis
featuretohelpcustomizeyourhearinginstru-
ments.Whendatalearningisoperating,the
instrumentkeepstrackofhowoftenandhow
muchyouadjustthevolumecontroland“learns”
yourpreferredsetting.Thisnewsettingcan
bemadepermanentduringyourfollow-upvisit.
