Caution! Danger of personal injuries!
The following safety advice must be observed at all times so as to
avoid personal injuries!
Attention! Danger of material damage!
The following safety advice must be observed at all times so as to
avoid material damages!
Functional check:
After the mounting and programming of most operating
elements, the control unit functions can be tested. In doing so,
problems can be immediately identified and the time spent
looking for errors is saved.

C. Warranty
The warranty (with respect to the functioning and safety) is valid
only if:
- the installation is properly carried out according to the instructions.
- only the original Marantec accessories are used.
- no additional objects are attached to the door or the operator.
- regular door and operator maintenance is observed.
Advice!
Failure to comply with these installation and operating
instructions renders the warranty null and void.

D. Important safety advice
Installation and initial operation of this operator may only be carried out by
qualified and specially trained personnel. These persons have been sufficiently
instructed or supervised by electricians and are therefore able to recognize the
special hazards involved when working with electricity. Moreover, they are
required to have the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of the relevant electro-technical regulations,
- Training in the use and maintenance of the necessary safety equipment.
Caution!
The following steps are necessary for a safe installation:
witch off all devices which will not be needed after the operator is installed.
Ensure that the door is in good mechanical condition and opens and closes
properly.
Observe local safety regulations!
Always lay mains and control cables separately!
Control voltage 24 V DC.
Caution!
Before operating the control unit, ensure that no persons or
objects are located in the operation range of door since the door
moves for some settings.
- All firmly mounted impulse transmitter and control devices (e.g. radio code
button) must be mounted within sight of the door, but at a safe distance from
the moving parts of the door.
- All existing emergency command devices have to be tested before initial
operation.
- Before initial operation, the door system operating personnel or their proxies
must be familiarised with the use of the system!
- Following installation, ensure that door parts do not protrude onto public
footpaths or streets.

D. Important safety advice
Caution!
Disregard of these warnings may result in personal injuries and
material damages.
Advice!
To avoid installation errors and damages to the door and
operator, follow the mounting instructions of these installation
instructions exactly!
Please keep these installation instructions for further reference;
they contain important information regarding operational checks
and maintenance work.

Attention!
- With lifting hinges the gate angle Special 503 (Art.-No. 70479)
or the gate angle 'long' Special 504 (Art.-No. 70479) has to be
used.
When using these angles, a gradient of max. 10% (approx.
10 cm/m) can be achieved when opening and closing the gate.
- In order to realize hinged doors with a negative e measurement
of 0 - -80mm, the angle extension Special 502 (Art.-No. 70507)
has to be used.

Attention!
In order to restrict the travel speed of the door's outer wing edges,
the largest possible working stroke should always be used.
A mechanical limit stop is absolutely necessary in the end
of travel position.
English / Page 19
F. Installation
GB
Attention!
With an opening angle larger than 90° the pivot and hinge
points (gate and operator) have to be adjusted on site.
With small opening angles please take care by all means that the
operator travels the gate at least 160 mm from end position
'CLOSED' to the 'OPEN' direction. The reference point must be
contacted!
Advice:
The operator may not be located parallel to any of the door
positions so that the operator can optimally convert its movement
stroke into a rotation of the door. The operator should always
form a triangle with the door (see sketch).
Fig. F.8: Drill lines
English / Page 20
F. Installation
Advice:
The indicated measurements refer to an opening angle of 90°.
If the dimension 'f' varies greatly from the dimension 'e',
then this value must be taken into consideration when choosing
the pivot points.
