SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL
OUR MACHINERY CAN ONLY BE USED BY PROPERLY INFORMED
PERSONS.
THE SERVICE LIFE OF YOUR MACHINE DEPENDS ON HOW YOU MAINTAIN
IT: REGULARLY CHECK SCREW TIGHTNESS, HYDRAULIC HOSES, WHEELS,
TYRES AND CRACKS, ETC.
TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS DUE TO LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF HOW THE
MACHINE OPERATES, MAINTENANCE CAN ONLY BE PERFORMED BY
QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
THE USER MUST MAKE CERTAIN THAT NOBODY IS IN OR NEAR THE
WORKING AREA OR UNDER A RAISED LOAD.
ALL MOVING PARTS ARE DANGEROUS. AVOID PLACING FINGERS OR ANY
OBJECT IN A HAZARDOUS AREA.
TURN OFF THE TRACTOR ENGINE BEFORE WORKING ON THE MACHINE.
A DEFECTIVE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT CAN BE DANGEROUS.
ALL HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS MUST BE MADE ACCORDING TO OUR
INSTRUCTIONS.
MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE CIRCUIT IS NOT UNDER PRESSURE BEFORE
WORKING ON THE MACHINE.
IF LEAKAGE OCCURS, HIGH PRESSURE HYDRAULIC OIL CAN PENETRATE
THE SKIN AND CAUSE SERIOUS INFECTION. CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY IF INJURY OCCURS.
A MACHINE LINKED TO A TRACTOR CAN CHANGE THE WAY THE TRACTOR
HANDLES (BRAKING, STEERING, ETC.).
YOU WILL FIND THIS ADHESIVE LABEL ON ALL OUR MACHINERY. IT
MEANS YOU MUST READ THIS BOOKLET BEFORE USING YOUR NEW
EQUIPMENT.

SPECIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER, INCLUDING THE TRANSPORTATION
OF PERSONS, IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
THE MACHINE MUST BE EMPTY AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE
LEGISLATION WHEN TOWED ON PUBLIC ROADS.
BE CAREFUL OF OBSTACLES DURING MANOEUVRES (TREES, WALLS,
POSTS, OVER-HANGS, GATES, ELECTRIC CABLES, ETC.).
HARDWARE, CLIPS AND PINS MUST ONLY BE REPLACED BY ORIGINAL
SPARE PARTS.
MODIFICATION OF THE MACHINE OR ITS USE FOR ANY PURPOSE OTHER THAN
THAT RECOMMENDED SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES RENDER ALTEC SAS
LIABLE FOR ANY ENSUING DAMAGE.

THE PC20 BALE GRIPPERS
The PC20 grippers are designed to:

MACHINE IDENTITY PLATE
Every machine carries an identity plate. Please refer to your machine's serial number and
year of manufacture in all correspondence. On the PC20, the identity plate is located rear
on the frame.

MOUNTING THE PC20 ON THE LOADER
The PC20 handler must be placed vertically on flat, stable ground.
Slide the mounting attachment into the PC20 tube sections.
Adjust the gap between the two sides with
respect to the loader.
Tighten and lock the two screws and counter
nuts on each side of the gripper frame.
OPERATION
Grease joints + sliding parts inside the frame, abundantly.
Connect the two hydraulic hoses to the tractor's control valve.
Bring the hydraulic system up to pressure.
Make certain that no leakage or operating errors occur during the test.
MAINTENANCE
Grease joints + sliding parts inside the frame on a regular basis.
Check the following are in good condition before each use:
- sliding parts
- hydraulic hoses.
- screws, nuts and bolts,
- pins
- mounting attachment, for good condition and tightness.
make certain the machine shows no signs of cracks
check that there are no hydraulic leaks.
ALL DEFECTIVE PARTS MUST BE REPLACED BY ORIGINAL SPARES. HARDWARE,
CLIPS AND PINS MUST NEVER BE REPLACED BY ANYTHING ELSE (WIRE,
DIFFERENT PINS, ETC.)
