Modular Integration Instructions
Integration Information
The PT00170793 Secure RFID Reader has been granted modular approval for mobile applications. The RFID module
may be integrated into host devices provided the final configuration meets the following conditions:
US FCC Compliance
A. The final host with module integrated is to be evaluated against US FCC Part 15 for unintentional radiators.
B. The final host with the module integrated is to be evaluated for spurious emissions to ensure the final
configuration continues to be compliant with the FCC limits.
C. Integrators are to ensure no less than 20cm between the device and people.
D. Devices incorporating PT00170793 Secure RFID Reader for US applications must include an external, visible,
permanent marking or label which states the following:
Contains FCC ID: P7G-170793
E. Devices incorporating PT00170793 Secure RFID Reader must include the following information in product
labeling for US and Canada applications:
FCC Compliance
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two
conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must
accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
To ensure compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements this device must be installed to
provide a minimum of 20cm between the device and people.

Canada ISED Compliance
A. The final host with module integrated must be evaluated against CA ICES-003 for unintentional radiators.
B. The final host with the module integrated is to be evaluated for spurious emissions to ensure the final
configuration continues to be compliant with the ISED limits.
C. Integrators are to ensure no less than 20cm between the device and people.
D. Devices incorporating PT00170793 Secure RFID Reader for Canada applications must include an external,
visible, permanent marking or label which states the following:

ISED Compliance
This device contains licence-exempt transmitter(s)/receiver(s) that comply with Innovation, Science and Economic
Development Canada’s licence-exempt RSS(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions: 1. This
device may not cause interference. 2. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may
cause undesired operation of the device.
