LOCATION AND USE OF CONTROLS, AUDIOLlNI(TM
HEADSET H-100 (FRONT)
LOCA TION AND USE OF CONTROLS, AUDIOLlNI(TM
HEADSET H-100 (BACK)
1. VOLUME CONTROL: Controls volume level. When the front of
the headset is facing away from you, turn volume control toward
left to increase volume. Turn to "off" (toward the right) when
headset is not in use to save battery consumption.
2. VOLUME CONTROL INDICATOR: Displays volume level when
volume is "on." The more yellow area shown, the higher the
volume. At maximum volume (124 dS), the entire indicator
area will be yellow.
3. LED: Audio receiving diode. Keep unobstructed (by hands,
newspapers, other solid objects). For maximum sound recep-
tion, a clear line of sight should exist between the LED on the
headset and the public facility's AudioLinkTM-compatible
transmitter.
4. BATTERY RECEPTACLE: Place battery BA-90in this location
in order to operate the headset. When headset is not in use,
recharge battery in the battery charger C-100.
5. EAR CUSHIONS: These removable pieces should be cleaned
with soap and water from time to time.
6. TONE CONTROL: Can be adjusted to compensate for varying
degrees of hearing loss between low and high frequencies.
7. VOLUME CONTROLS, BIGHT AND bEFT: Can be adjusted to
compensate for varying level of hearing loss between right
and lett ears.
8. ACCESSORY JACK: 2.5 mm jack enables certain accessories
(riot provided: see Accessory List) to connect to behind the ear
hearing aids having "T" switch position. Consult your hearing
health care professional for assistance.
NOTE: When required, adjustments of Volume and Tone controls
on the back of the headset should be made by a hearing health
care professional, who can tailor the AudioLinkTMheadset to your
individual hearing loss. Not all users will need an adjustment.
Those users with more severe hearing loss; extreme variance of
loss from ear to ear; and wearers of behind the ear hearing aids
are most likely to benefit from these adjustments, which may en-
tail an extra charge by the professional. ADJUSTMENT SY THE
CONSUMER MAY VOID THE WARRANTY.

OPERATING TIPS
- The AudioLinkTMHeadset H-100can be used in AudioLinkTM-
compatible facilities. Call NCIfor a complete listing of
AudioLinkTM-compatiblelocations in your area.
- The LED on the front of the headset should be unobstructed
(by hands, printed materials, or other solid objects).
- Public facilities, such as theaters or cinemas, most likely
would not activate their sound transmission systems until the
performance has begun. If you turn the volume "on" prior to
that time, you most likely will encounter the hissing noise
described below.
PROBLEM SOLVING TIPS
- Hissing noise only- Transmitter is not set into operation or is
defective. Problem also may be caused by the headset being
in direct sunlight or too close to a lamp. Block light source.
- Volume turned to maximum on headset but no signal
available-Signal is missing. Transmitters in public facility
may not be operable.
- Sound is disturbed-Battery is completely discharged.
Recharge it immediately!
- Sound is slightly noisy- Transmitter is not positioned in
optimum way or reception is obstructed.
