2.3 Potentially explosive environments
The CU 361 must not be installed in explosive
environments, but may be used together with
Grundfos pumps approved for installation in
potentially explosive environments.
3. Identification
The CU 361 can be identified by means of the
nameplate on the back. See fig. 3.

3.1 Type key
4. Installation
The CU 361 is only intended for factory wiring.
Before installation, check that the CU 361
• corresponds to the one ordered.
• is suitable for the supply voltage and frequency
on the installation site.
• has not been damaged during transportation.
The installation must be carried out by authorised
personnel in accordance with local regulations.
All safety regulations must be observed on the
installation site.

Warning
Switch off the power supply prior to
installation. It must be ensured that
it cannot be accidentally switched on.
Warning
The terminals L and N as well as 70 to
75 may be connected to dangerous
contact voltage. External control
voltage from other groups may occur.
Warning
All wires to units outside the control
panel must be of the type H05VV-F
according to CENELEC HD21 (to avoid
injury from touching wires).
For USA and Canada
Field wiring installation shall comply
with National Electrical Code (NEC)
and/or Canadian Electrical Code.
Warning
The installation must incorporate a
circuit breaker in order to switch off the
mains supply. It must be close to the
CU 361 and easily accessible for the
operator. It must be marked as circuit
breaker for the CU 361. The circuit
breaker must be according to
IEC 60947-1 and IEC 60947-3.
