USE OF THE
Special Features
SY-X1230BT
• Pair and connect to enjoy your favorite music or answer phone calls.
• Simply spin around the speakers to use them as stereo speakers
• When the battery runs out, use the unit as normal headphones with the AUX cable included
• Connect up to 2 devices at a time
• Connect any external audio device and use the headphones like any other normal headphone set.
Safety instructions

• Never attempt to dismount the unit. Do not attempt to repair anything by yourself. If servicing is required, contact the
Sytech technical service department for a proper repair or solution to the problem.
• Do not expose the unit to dust, humidity or extreme temperatures.
• Do not drop any liquid on the unit as this would damage the internal circuit.
• Do not expose to dust, moist or extreme temperatures.
• Do not splash any liquid on the unit or place it near water.
• Do not use chemical products such as alcohol to clean the product.
• Clean with a soft cloth damped with a drop of water.
• Recharge the battery only when it has been fully discharged.
• Do not interrupt the charging process until it is fully charged.

Usage of controls or adjustments or herein may result in hazardous exposure. Refer all servicing to qualified service
personnel.

Power ON/OFF
1. Press and hold the ON/OFF BUTTON until the unit turns on
2. The Power indicator will light up
3. Press and hold the ON/OFF BUTTON until the unit turns off
4. The Power indicator will turn off
Bluetooth pairing
1. Power ON the unit following the instructions above.
2. Press and hold the On/Off/Play/Pause/Call answer/End Call until the pairing indicator begins to flash rapidly. The light
will start to flash from red to blue.
3. Please make sure the Bluetooth connection is activated on your device. Each Bluetooth device is different so refer to
your device's operating manual if you are unsure on how to activate your Bluetooth connection. While searching, the
Bluetooth indicator will turn blue and will continue flashing. The Bluetooth device will scan for the unit and identify it as
SY-X1299BT. Select it on your Bluetooth device to connect.
4. Once connected, the speaker will beep and the Bluetooth indicator will begin to flash slowly.
During playback
1. Press the Previous and Next Track buttons to skip to the previous or next tracks.
2. Press the Play/Pause button to start or pause the playback.
3. Press volume up or volume down buttons to adjust the volume level.
Making/Receiving phone calls
1. If you receive a call, press the On/Off/Play/Pause/Call answer/End Call to answer the call.
2. To end the call, press the On/Off/Play/Pause/Call answer/End Call button again.
3. To refuse a call, press and hold the On/Off/Play/Pause/Call answer/End Call when the phone is ringing.
4. To redial a call, press the On/Off/Play/Call button twice.
Line in connection
1. Disconnect your Bluetooth device or Pause the playback.
2. Connect a stereo 3.5mm jack cable between the headphones or LINE/AUX output of the personal audio player and the
LINE IN jack of the unit.
3. Set your personal audio player/computer to PLAY.
4. Set the listening volume to the level you want with the volume control on the speaker.
Speaker mode
1. Connect the headphone via Bluetooth or 3.5mm jack.
2. Spin the two speakers around; the headphones will transform from headphone mode to speaker mode.
3. Press the volume up or volume down buttons to adjust the volume level.
4. BOTH speakers must be turned around at the same time in order for this function to work. If only one side has been
turned, the unit will continue in headphone mode.

Battery charging
When the headphones stops emitting any sound, or the sound gets cut, it is time to recharge the battery. The headphone
includes a built in Li-Polymer battery which should be charged when the battery is nearly exhausted. Use the supplied USB
cable and connect the micro USB end to the input located on the left side of the headphone and the USB end to a PC or a
AC USB adaptor.
1. To charge with a computer, connect the other end to your PC.
2. Or, to charge with a 5V AC/DC adapter (not included); connect the other end to an adapter. Plug the adapter into an AC
outlet. The charge indicator will light up in blue while charging.
3. The charging time is approx. 1:30 hours.
Note: Do not charge the battery until it has been completely discharged. At the same time, do not disconnect the USB
cable until the battery is fully charged.

Troubleshoot
No power:
~The battery may be drained out. Connect the unit to a USB power source to charge it. (See section “Battery Charging” for
more help)
Unable to connect to the headphone:
~ Check if the Bluetooth indicator is flashing. If not, switch of the power, then switch it back on and retry.
~Check if the Bluetooth connection is activated on your Bluetooth device. If not, activate the connection.
Connected but no sound from Bluetooth source:
~Check if the AUX IN cable is connected. If yes, disconnect it.
~Check if the Bluetooth device is out of the working distance. If yes, move it closer to the headphone.
~Check if your Bluetooth source is in playback mode. If not, start the playback.
