1. Product and package contents
Please check if all listed parts are included and undamaged. Included in delivery:
1 x laser projector 1 x USB keyboard 1 x IR remote
1 x external PSU 1 x USB extension cable 1 x user manual
1 x Interlock connector 1 x key
3. Initial operations, safety instructions
1. Make sure to use correct voltage; see in-
formation on device & in this manual.
2. Make sure that the device is not connec-
ted to mains during installation.
3. Installation has to be done by technical
experienced and qualied persons ac-
cording to safety regulations of the res-
pective country.
4. Always ensure that maximum permis-
sible exposure (MPE) is not exceeded
in areas accessible to the public.
5. In some countries an additional ins-
pection by technical control institutes
could be necessary.
6. Connect an easily accessible inter-
lock connector or circuit breaker
to the projector.
7. The power supply should be easily acces-
sible.
8. If the device has been exposed to great
temperature changes, do not switch it
on immediately. Condensation (or any
moisture/water formed) may damage
device.
9. Never use dimmer, RC or other electroni-
cally switched sockets. Whenever possib-
le, do not use the laser projector together
with large appliances (especially fog ma-
chines) on the same mains!
10. Ensure sucient ventilation and do not
place the device on any warm or heat ra-
diating surface. Especially the ventilati-
on openings must not be covered!
2. Preliminary warning notices
1. Please use this device only according to these operating instructions.
2. Do not use the device if there are any visible damages on housing, connector panels,
power supplies or power cords.
3. Never look directly into the light source of a laser projector. Danger of damage to the
eyes or even blindness in extreme circumstances!
4. Do not operate the device at high humidity, in the rain or in dusty environments.
5. Protect device against dripping or splashing water. Do not place any liquid lled
containers near to this device.
Any warranty claims are void if the warranty label is removed or tampered
with in any way.

11. Ensure that device does not get over-
heated. Make sure that the device is not
exposed to spotlights (especially moving
heads). Heat of spotlights could overheat
laser in a little while and leads to a degra-
dation of performance.
12. This unit is intended for indoor use only.
4. Working on the device
1. Be sure that the mains plug is not connected to the power supply
while installing.
2. Take o all reecting things like rings, watches etc. before
starting to work with or at the projector.
3. Only use non-reecting tools to work on device.
4. Wear protective clothing (like goggles, gloves etc.)
according to laser power and wavelength of the laser.
5. Service notes
• Moisture and heat can reduce lifetime of
the laser system dramatically and expires
any warranty claim.
• Quick on/o switching of this device will
reduce durability of the laser source dra-
matically.
• Avoid sharp knocks and shocks to this
device and ensure sucient protection
during transportation. Look after your La-
serworld product.
• To increase durability of your laser,
protect device against overheating:
- Always ensure sucient ventilation.
- Do not face spotlights (especially mo-
ving heads) to the device.
- Check temperature after approx. 30
minutes with each new installation.
If necessary install the projector at a
place with dierent temperature.
- Keep the device dry. Protect it from
moisture, rain and damp.
- Switch o device when it is not nee-
ded. Laser sources are switched on
and can wear out even if there is no
visible laser output.
• The devices of Ecoline, Evolution, Club
and Proline Series are not meant for pro-
fessional applications. After approx. one
hour of operation, the device should cool
down for about 15 minutes.
• Please ensure the fans and heatsinks are
clear from dust and debris otherwise the
risk of overheating may occur. If the unit
and airways appear to be blocked then
please contact a qualied service engi-
neer to maintain and service the product.
• Removal of the warranty label as well
as damages to the device caused by
improper handling, neglect of the sa-
fety instructions and service notes will
void the warranty.

7. Operation
7.1 Power supply
Connect your EL-500RGB KeyTEX with the external PSU and connect it to the mains. Please
make sure that you are using the correct voltage. False voltages could destroy the device. Ple-
ase use the voltage specied at the end of this manual. Don‘t focus the front of the laser on
people while installation.
7.2 Switch on / o
Insert the key into the key switch on the back side of the laser and switch to On“ to switch
the device on or to “O“ to switch the device o. Please disconnect the device from the power
supply if you don‘t need it for a longer period.
7.3 Modes
Access the four dierent operating modes available in this product by using the MODE button
on the front panel. Pressing and holding the MODE button for 2.5 seconds will turn the pro-
duct on or o. Press MODE to cycle through the modes. Please see a description of each mode
below.

Button Function / Button Description
ON / OFF button Turns laser on/o
Auto mode Laser runs in auto mode. Red LED indicator lights. Press the number
buttons to get dierent design patterns
Sound-active mode Sound-active mode. Blue LED indicator ashes when sound is
detected. Sound-active mode displays the same design packs as
auto mode, but respnds to sounds. Press and hold to enable sound
sensitivity adjustment. Use 1 (least sensitive) to 9 (most sensitive)
Pause Pauses the program. Press again to continue the program
Pattern selection Press button to enter the pattern selection and select one of the
available patterns by pressing the number buttons
Text mode Press to enter the text mode, then press any numbered button.
Enter text using the keyboard. Red and blue LED indicator lights.
Clock mode Press numbers on the number pad to set the time and press ‚SPACE‘
to start the clock function
Numbers Press to select a number
Previous / Next Press to go to a previous / next step
Mirror Press and hold to mirror the laser projection. Press repeatedly for
up to 4 mirrored options
7.5 Using the Keyboard
Use the keyboard to access menu options, select laser patterns, and enter dierent modes. To
use the keyboad with the laser, do the following:
1. Connect the USB cable of the keyboard to the USB interface on the back of the laser
projector.
2. Connect the laser to the mains.

To select the menu options using the keyboard, do the following:
1. Press
to access the menu options. The laser output displays the current menu option.

to scroll through the menu options: 1. AUTO, 2. SCENE, 3. MUSIC, 4. CLOCK, 5.
TEXT and 6. DMX.

Text Mode
Press
to select the mode and press ‚ENTER‘ to activate the mode. When text mode is active,
use the following keys on the keyboard to enter text and select patterns:

Flow Sets the text ow. Press again to restart
RGB Color RGB Sets the text in dierent color variations.
Draw
Selects the drawing functionality. Use up and down arrows to
set the speed.
Zoom
Selects the zoom in, zoom out, and zoom in/out functionality.
Use the up and down arrows to set the speed.
X Move
Text moves to the right or to the left. Use the up and down
arrows to set the speed.
Y Move
Text moves up or down. Use the up and down arrows to set the
speed.
Y Roll Text curves around the y-axis. Use the up and down arrows to
set the speed.
X Roll
Text curves around the x-axis. Use the up and down arrows to
set the speed.
Z Roll
Text spins around the z-axis. Use the up and down arrows to set
the speed.
Wave
Text is projected with a wave eect. Use the up and down
arrows to set the speed.
Text Qty Displays characters in quantities of 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 (incl. free
space)
Play Time Sets the display time.
Mirror
Mirrors the display in 4 directions
Delete
Clears the cache.
Backspace Deletes a character to the left
Home Moves the cursor to the beginning of the text.
End Moves the cursor to the end of the text.
Arrow Keys
Moves the cursor up, down, to the left or to the right.

Save + No. Saves the text and pattern.

Plays back the saved text and pattern.

Auto Mode
Press
to select the mode and press ‚ENTER‘ to activate the mode. When auto mode is acti-
ve, use the following keys on the keyboard:

all auto programs in a loop.

sensitivity of the microphone. Press ‚ENTER‘ to conrm.
