INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
It is required that the installation of the unit and its electrical
connection be professionally carried out in compliance with the
current regulations.
NOTE:
The data plate is located on left-hand side panel of the appliance.
TECHNICAL DATA (fig. 1a)
Single phase electric supply V 230
Frequency Hz 50
Max. power input
- Mod. 240271 - 775160 - 697380 - 724070 kW 2,5
- Mod. 240272 - 775162 - 697381 kW 3
POSITIONING
Check that the appliance is at the correct height and level by
rotating the levelling feet.
Slowly remove the appliance protective film without tearing it, for
the glue could remain on the appliance outer casing. Should this
happen, remove the glue using a suitable solvent.
POWER SUPPLY
The appliance operates on a 230 V single phase - 50 Hz power
supply. Therefore, in order to connect the appliance to its power
supply, it will be necessary to provide the power supply cable with
a normalized plug suitable to the absorbed load and then to
connect it to a proper main socket, while making sure that in this
last there is an efficient earthing contact, according to applying
standard regulations.
If the appliance is to be directly connected to the power mains, a
circuit breaker shall be installed there between.
In other words, such a connection shall be made through an
adequately sized and rated circuit breaker with a contact gap of
at least 3 mm.
However, this circuit breaker shall under no circumstance interrupt
the yellow/green wire of the cable.
Before making any connection, make certain that the mains
socket and/or the circuit breaker used to ensure the power supply
to the appliance are still easily accessible when the oven is
installed as intended.
The appliance shall be included in a correctly dimensioned
equipotential, whose effectiveness is to be verified in accordance
to the procedures set forth in the applicable safety standards.
The Manufacturer disclaims any liability in case these
accident-preventing rules are not observed.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
It is recommended that the installation of the appliance and its
electrical connection be professionally carried out.
The appliance is manufactured in accordance with EEC
norm regarding the suppression of interference.
PRELIMINARY
When the oven is used for the first time, the thermal insulation
and greasy fabrication residues will cause smoke and an
unpleasant smell. Before using the oven for the first time it is
therefore advisable to leave it empty for 30 minutes and to
operate it at the highest temperature (max = 230°C) (fig.4).
The oven is provided with a timer controlling up to 90 minutes
(see fig. 2) of cooking time.
By positioning the knob "E" on "
" the continuous heating
operation is obtained.
The knob of the selector has the following settings (fig. 3).
0 Off
Lighting of indicator lamp "power supply on" and illumination
of internal oven-cavity light.
Conventional cooking
Funzionamento ventilatore
Grill
USE
STARTING UP (fig. 5)
Switch on the circuit-breaker switch installed on the power supply
line to the appliance.
Turn the knob "C" clockwise on setting "
": the yellow-coloured
indicator light "A" will light up as well as the internal oven-cavity
light.
If frozen food is to be defrosted, further turn both the knob "C" on
the setting marked with the symbol "
" and the knob "E" on the
symbol "
": The oven fan will now start operating, while
defrosting is performed at room temperature.
If a quicker defrosting is wished, just turn both the knob "D" on
"50" and the knob "E" on the needed time value.
Turn knob "C" on the setting "
", for actual cooking operations
select both the right temperature by properly turning the knob
"D", and the cooking time by setting the knob "E", according to the
food to be cooked.
The lighting of the red indicator light "B" means that the heating
in the oven cavity is on.
Upon reaching the selected temperature in the oven cavity, the
thermostat will trip and cut off the heating, as signalled by the
extinction of the indicator light "B". This same light "B" will light up
again when the thermostat restores the oven temperature.
When the selected time for cooking elapses, a buzzer in the timer
switch will start humming and the red indicator light "B" will go out
to alert the user to signal that heating is switched off.
USING THE GRILL (fig. 5)
Turn the knob "C" clockwise in its setting marked by the symbol
"
" and select the proper time setting by turning the knob "E"
according to the food.
6
ATTACHING THE FAT FILTER (fig. 1)
When cooking meat preparations in the oven, in order to prevent
excessive fat and fumes from reaching and depositing onto the
fan blades, it is necessary that the special fat filter, which is
delivered as a standard accessory to the oven, be attached as
shown in the figure.
At the end of the cooking operation, this filter shall then be
removed, carefully washed and cleaned.
TEMPERATURE LIMITING DEVICE
The limiting device can be reset by removing the control panel
and push little button if it intervenes; this operation must be
carried out by professionally qualified personnel after removing
the cause.
SWITCHING OFF (fig. 5)
Turn the appliance control knobs anticlockwise on "0" position.
Switch off the circuit breaker on the power supply line to the
appliance or take the plug off the socket.
MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any
maintenance operations.
To replace the lamp that illuminates the chamber:
unscrew the protective glass;
replace it with an equivalent one of 25 W 240 V 300°C.
Daily, when the appliance is cold clean the stainless steel
surfaces with lukewarm soapy water: never use detergents
containing abrasive substances; then rinse them again and again
with fresh water and wipe them thoroughly.
The porcelain-enamelled steel panel located on the oven bottom
to collect spillages shall be taken out by pulling it outwards. It shall
then be carefully cleaned and put back in the oven.
Strictly avoid using spray cleaning products on the fan and the
thermostat probe inside the oven cavity.
When cleaning stainless steel surfaces under no circumstances
should wool, brushes or scraping implement of common steel be
used for ferrous particles can deposit on the stainless steel
surfaces causing, by their oxidation rust spots. Stainless steel
wool may be also used but it is necessary to rub the surfaces
always on the direction of the stainless steel finish.
Should the appliance not be used for long periods, rub all the
stainless steel surfaces with a cloth soaked in vaseline oil to
spread a protective film; periodically air the premises.
Have the appliance totally checked (at least once a year). It is
recommended to draw up a maintenance contract.
CAUTION
Do not wash the appliance with direct or high pressure water
jets since possible leakings on the electric components
might prejudice the regular working of the machine as well as
the safety devices.
