Skyjacker TCL35, TCL45 Installation guide

  • Hello, I've reviewed the provided installation instructions for the SKYJACKER transfer case lowering kit models TCL15, TCL25, TCL35, TCL45 and TCL55. The document details the step-by-step process of lowering the transfer case skid plate and installing new spacers. I'm ready to answer any questions you have regarding the installation process or the components mentioned in the document.
  • How much should the skid plate be lowered?
How many spacers are used for TCL15 and TCL45 models?
Is there some specific step for TCL15?
1. Place floor jack under the transfer case skid plate, and raise jack enough to put a small amount
of pressure on the plate.
2. Loosen the nuts in the center of the skid plate.
3. Remove the outer skid plate bolts along the frame rails.
4. Lower the floor jack and skid plate approximately 3" to allow the installation of the new spacers.
NOTE: There are only 2 on each side of the TCL15 & TCL45.
5. Insert the spacers between the skid plate and the frame.
6. Put a flat washer on the bolt and install bolt through the plate and tighten firmly. Repeat
this process with all the the bolts and tighten firmly.
NOTE: There are only 4 spacers on the TCL15 & TCL45.
7. Remove floor jack and retighten all nuts in the center of the skid plate.*
* This step does not apply to the TCL15.
